J.Lee, As a historical reminder, the song has significance. However, I think black America (especially the youth) confuses two things: 1)The necessity of "knowing where you come from" 2)Using historical events as a crutch to excuse forward progress (But thats another topic entirely) Besides, I personally think, its not an easy song to listen to.

What is your favorite color and why? Blue - Because there's an association of clear skies, clean seas and of course the Flag What is your favorite animal and why? Cat - The ultimate survivor, and not a kiss-a$$ like dogs How would you feel if you were given everything you ever wanted? I'd feel robbed. There'd be nothing left to do and finally how would you feel if you were trapped in a room with no doors, no windows and no light? Depends, how bigs the room, and whats in it? B.T.W Aren't Sam Cooke's A Change is Gonna' Come and Billie Holiday's Strange Fruit classics? 'Change gonna come' is timeless because its relevant all the time. 'Strange fruit' is just as creepy as hell. and as much as it was an important song in its time and focused on a specific issue, I don't think it qualifies as a classic that lives on. Too much has changed.

13K for a bag? And some of these women actually considered how they may be able to pull it off and get it (for a season or 2 before it goes out of style) Let me start my point off by saying young women have proven themselves in the work place, in the home, and in academia as being more than capable of stacking up. HOWEVER, (and I've maintained this from the get go) they've proven time and time again a serious lack of financial maturity and fiscal responsibility. In other words young women and money are like gasoline and an open flame. The new Bankrupt It said women have built up debt by fueling a high-octane lifestyle of socialising and spending on luxury goods. A 'new bankrupt' is emerging who is more likely to be female, under 30 and has not been in business before. .

Men prefer strident noises, hard handshakes, and red color. They are better at solving technical problems. Women have a sharper ear, they use more words while talking, and are better at completing tasks independently. Based on these biologically explained differences, some psychological distinctions between men and women can be established: - Men grasp a situation as a whole and think globally, while women think locally, relying on details and nuances. - Men are builders and creators. They take risks and experiment, while women select the most valuable knowledge and pass it over to the next generation. - Men are more independent in their thoughts and actions, while women are more willing to follow the ideas suggested by others. - Women’s self-appraisal is lower than that of men. Women tend to criticize themselves, while men are more satisfied with their own performance. - Men and women have different sources of satisfaction. For men it’s career and prosperity, while women value family and kids. - Men have a pronounced need to fulfill their goals, and women rank relationships with others first. - Men get sick twice as often as women, although women tend to be more concerned about their health. - Women endure pain and monotonous work better than men. All the above gets even more confusing, if we take into account that 15 to 20% of men happen to have a female type of brains, and about 10% of women have a male type of brains, which means that some percentage of men and women, no matter how small it seems, are partially programmed to the behavior and way of thinking of the opposite gender.

....and sense of good breeding. Sounds like livestock. I couldn't even get past that.... We trying to start a caste system what a load of darwinistic bullcr@p. so there's a difference between Somali men and Somali Gentlemen? then more of a difference between the gentlemen and the 'fine' gentlemen? Isn't it a total waste of time to look and sound refined and yet have zero content in what you actually say? A lot of that going around these days. I'll gladly stick with my Caveman status.

I think your point is largely lost on this crowd. Considering we're from a Land where people who look alike, speak the same language and worship the same God have been at war with each other for over a decade, I doubt they'll worry about some dinka they've never seen before. Thats my 2 cents for the day.
