  1. Somalia: After the luxury comes the hard work for new president Contrary to what we have been made to believe, Somalis of all clans did not agree to elect President Ahmed Abdullahi Yusuf to power. Nothing can be further from the truth. It is an open secret that the regional powers, long tired of Somalia’s problems, decided to impose a leader to bring "sanity’ to Somalis. It is indeed a mockery of democracy for a handful of handpicked delegates and Parliamentarians to claim to speak for the majority of Somalis. Some Somalis feel that Ahmed Abdullahi was elected by foreigners, in a foreign country and can therefore not impose himself as the democratically elected President of Somalia. We all know that the whole process was sabotaged by Igad under the guise of bringing democracy to Somalis. Whole names were removed and replaced by unknown names under their very eyes yet they said nothing. There have been stories of bribery and intimidation. Certain sections of Somalis were openly bribed to support the incumbent while others were shut out from the voting and warned that they would face severe punishment if they did not. Sadly, the same story continued even after the election of the new President. It is sad that after a 14-year wait, what Somalis have is a new warlord backed by her good neighbours who seem to think that he will bring back the failed Somali state. It is even worse when the majority of Somalis, especially refugees, are misled to believe we have a new Somalia and hence end up chanting ‘Somalia hanoolato" (Long live Somalia) in ignorance and shame. If President Ahmed’s past record is anything to go by, then he seems likely to plunge Somalia "into deeper abyss" with the help of our caring friends and the international community. He was involved in the ambitious ****** war, curved himself a fiefdom called Puntland and was constantly a menace to Somaliland, Somalia and even Kenya. After the luxury comes the hard work and for the new president, the real test will be when he goes to Somalia. Perhaps no city in the world has so many warlords per Square Kilometre than Mogadishu and this is what awaits the "messiah". What Somalis need is a person with a track record of negotiations especially among the various clans. By:Mohamud Mohamed, Nairobi Need I say more and here is the resource : Somalia's new president

  3. Duh...! is reconciliation part of your vocabularly.? And he has a mandate of his peers, namely Warlords, who themselves dont have the mandate of the Somali people. Damn will you stop romanticizing the process of Yeey's election please

Am more than welcome in Xamar Cadde rather than you and the Colonel... . And Abdullahi becoming a president is not cause of his tactics or your 'predictment' as you heroicly claim. But the doing and the squabbles and mistrust among the Mogadishu Warlords or should I say the previous united clans under USC. They have re-written history and labeled themselves as stooges. Am not sure they realised what they were doing or the cosequences of their votes, one thing for sure though the negative impact of their unwise vote is homing into them now, we will just have to wait and see Mr.Smith... As for Buuba re-read the text about the British Minister and the highlighted phrase of how Somaliland is important for the existance of Yeey's government if ever there will be one....eh...eh..eh
  8. Britain yesterday called for speedy relocation of the new Somali Government from Nairobi to Mogadishu. The Secretary for African Affairs, Mr Chris Mullin, said the international community should help the new President, Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmed, take control of his country. "The President should secure his territory. He should be in charge of his country," said Mullin. The new government, he said, would get more support when itstarts operating from Somalia. The minister said he would tour Somaliland today, to help in the process of integrating the Somali government. Earlier in the week, Mullin met members of the Somali Parliament who are currently working from Nairobi. He is expected to meet Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zenawi during his tour of the region. Sources said he would ask Ethiopia to support the new government. Somaliland, a province of the larger Somalia, was under British rule before independence while the larger Somalia was under the control of Italy. Analysts believe the self-declared independent Somaliland and Ethiopia hold the key to restoring and order in Somalia. Some Somali warlords have in the past accused landlocked Ethiopia of allegedly taking sides and fueling the war for its own interests. President Ahmed was elected early this month in the first post-war elections. He was sworn in at a colourful ceremony attended by 10 heads of state in Nairobi. By Biketi Kikechi, East African Standard Britain wants ..... Note the texts which I highlighted, it was to enlighten you with the fact and the importancy of Somaliland, with or without recognition we decide our future with the help and guidance of Allah SWT, and also to remind you Colonel Yeey is not our president but your pity.
  9. P.S a bout your signature, "Ninki dhof ku yimid ba geeridu dhibeysa..!", I use to hear people Xamar sing in 91 while innocent civilians were being massacred. I hope you are not of those people chanting it coz dat would be seriosly distrubing!! [/QB] Which civilians are you talking about the ones that were killed pre-1991 ot post-1991? Xaraago my dear, in just 14 days the new Somali government has been recognised by 37 countries, including China. In 14 years no one has recognised your phantom state of Somaliland not even Djabouti. Well in those 14 years we had a governing state that served its citizens while you had anarchy. Over the last 14 days we have hope to achieve recognition and put our case forward while you embarked on the path of disaray, disillussion and apathy by electing Colonel yeey.. Nationalist what interests you, the false propogannda and the fanatsy that Somalia has achieved a statehood.... ? The question is and still stands, though Smith tried so painfully to answered it vaguely, why do you need foreign troops when the militias leaders are all in the parliament? Simple question give us a simple answer.
  10. Inti dhimatey Allah uu naxaristo. Lakiin Nuune huuno how would you describe Hitler, Musolini and co. if you were to write an article about them. It does not mean if someone dies his/hers role in this World is forgotten. If they build a Mosque and looked after Orphans they will be praised but if they indiscrimanately and continuosly murdered people cause of their clan linage they will be reccorded and mentioned after their name is raised. Though everyone would face the consequences of his/her actions in the hereafter. Ganni is not different. He was brutal and murdered innocent civilians in hundreds and he will be remembered for that.
  11. A tiger never changes its spots. For over ten days he has been praises and said to be the only person who can govern Somalia. Well many like me knew that once the foam settles down reality will emerge and people will begin to realise that the election of Colonel Yeey was waste of two years of Somali peace conference. He has today made his mark and has shown reasons why his government, if it ever comes into existance, wont go beyond Nairobi Kasarani Sports centre. He went to the parliament today and told them he was going to and seeking troops from ETHIOPIA. Yes you heard it right ETHIOPIA. That sppeech by him in the parliament made fracas and murmurs among the MP's (the other warlords). Colonel Yeey I thought was clever as a poker and will bide by his time, but in the first step he makes is to seek troops from Ethiopia, to fight who I ask? USC members, JVA and others may be. But why the troops if the warlords are all members of the parliament cant they disarm their militias.Where is the reconciliation? A prominent politician and former Prime Minister of Somalia Cali Khalif Galeydh said “Ciidamo waa loo baahan yahay, laakiin ciidamadu waa in ay noqdaan ciidamo ogolaanshadooda loo dhan yahay oo baarlamaanka, dowladda & shacbiga Soomaaliyeed ay soo dhoweynayaan, ciidamo C/llaahi Yuusuf dal u qabanaya ma jiraan". Khudbad uu maanta baarlamaanka ka jeediyey C/llaahi Yuusuf oo ka careysiiyey qaar ka tirsan xildhibaanada
  12. I tried to stay away from SOL untill the 'alalas' died down or at least diminished. I think waqtigan waqti ka ficaan maleh to hit you guys with the hard truth. First and foremost you can forget about S/land waxay idin jidha inta uu cidhka idin jidho. Mida kale mantey idinka ayu ayan dara idin heysata oo doortey dhigya caab. I dont know whether to feel sorry of your self inflicted demise or sneer at the biggest mistake you have ever made. What a waste of a peace conference that lasted for two years. Did they say that was last one, I doubt..eh..eh..eh

  14. Somalida waxay ku mahmahda 'Ohinta ohiin orgi ka weyn'. My alalas, if ever there was any, was not for the victims of the war, but it was for those who portrayed Morgan as a saviour. Waxanse mugdi ku jidhin Basho in caradadu aysan aheyn mid uu tiranyoneysa shacabka mesha wax kuso gadhey ee e tahey mid la cadheysan sadash xumadi SW iyo WD. I did not fly all the way from Toronto and made Dhoobley a military base, I did not armed Morgan to teeth and gave him troops from Puntland. I did not fire behind civilian lines knwing perfectly the reaction it would generate. It is the catalyst of these and the men behind them that have cause the human disaster in Dhoobley, and if it hurts you mentioning that, then pity, cause I dont waver from actual facts. My happiness nor my sadness will not alter the situation, but what is degrading and sad to see is those who were applauding this mission from the start are now retreating from the face of misery and weeping with the innocent victims. I will not accept from their likes at any given day sympathy for the innocent civilians. She been chassing little boy WD then Smith.. Allah knows who is next Horn or Baashi. My self I know she never liked me and wont simply I am from her tradition enemy from west terrotory Huuno hadu little yahey iyo hadi kaleba waa qushiga. WD and SW were on the rampant in giving and saying anything good and decent belongs to Colonel yeey and his co-horts and anything else is barbaric or either non-existant. I responded in their langugae and refuted everything they said. Now tell me where do you find the err in there? And the other thing huuno deter from creating a hypothetical situation in SOL where you are John wayne.. Rahima Constructive criticism and hopeful suggestions are welcome, anything outside of that leads to ill feelings which isn’t productive for either side. Isn't part of the constructure pin pointing the cause? HornA I have to agree Huuno hodhey ayaan kugu sheegey hadana waan kugu so celiin ' doqonka cusha agtiisa aya lagu dhufta, hadu gadhan wayo asaga aya lagu dhufta'. Finally , do I sense in here collective, partisan and common policy which does not accept a parallel and different point of view.
