When people reach certain age they loose their sense of direction and point of departure...yacni waxay noqdaan wax iska sac-sac oo kale. My sources Bashi were actually not from any of the organisations you mentioned of whom which I suspect you are a member. but it was ; Click here huuno..! As for your swipe at Somaliland being mighty politically, economically and military leverage, walalo 'lax walba shilka ay is dhigto aya lagu gowraca'. We are all that in our hearts that is why our reputation is more intact than that of the south of the border. But your statement is exactly what Mr. Oodweyne was saying Do you really want to give a heart-attack through your words in the screen to those Lot that you so eloquently describe; , it seems you are at an early age of symptoms of a heart attack...
  4. Arogance and sheer stupidness..ouch. Let me go a lil bit step further than that, would it be wrong to say you have a disability in comprehending and presenting? No..! I would say according to your latest outburst. Interesting you mentioned this though those who will knock you down when you no longer serve their purpose ...walalo talk to Duke he will tell you who is good at knocking people down whe they have served their purposes...Maxamed Dhere is suffering from the syndrome now...

But our differences lie in your assumption that the change is already in motion while I think exactly to the opposite in saying the change has not even yet started. What we are currently seeing in Somalia ,particularly in your hood walalo, is some organisations who have taken the path of restoring peace in the area through the approach of Islamic way. While in reality they have completely mis-represented the 'tarikh' and going the wrong way about it.Now that is not due that they are ignoirant or no knowledge of what they want to implement but rather the fact they want to implent it but with a way that suits them and their interest. Yes Xoogsaade as you say Islam is more peculiar in Somalia now than it ever was, but my understanding of that is that so many inviduals have adhered more to the practice of their religion than ever before. However having said that there is the absence of a leadership that meets their aspiration ,needs and hunger for the 'Right Path' which is Islam. I hope you can agree with me now or even later when you come to realise that the so called Islamic courts in Somalia are not capapble of taking the mantle to lead the Somali people who are hungry for Islamic way of life.
  6. We told you it will come, and now it is not only us (Somaliland citizens) that are telling but the rest of Africa. Go ahead then where are the tribally dented individuals in SOL who think the union was a God sent decree.
  7. AU mission to Somaliland says recognition overdue By FRED OLUOCH Special Correspondent The African Union is coming under increased pressure from the breakaway Somaliland Republic to accord it recognition. This follows revelations that an AU fact-finding mission to Somaliland between April 30 and May 4, 2005, had expressed the opinion that Somaliland had been made a "pariah region" by default. It strongly recommended the country's recognition, saying that since its declaration of independence in 1991, Somaliland has been steadily laying the foundations of a democratic "modern state." However, the report of the mission – which was appointed by former president of Mali and chairperson of the AU Commission, Alpha Oumar Konare – has been kept under wraps and is yet to be discussed by the AU executive council for possible adoption by the heads of state summit. The mission also noted that the lack of recognition ties the hands of the authorities and people of Somaliland as they cannot effectively transact business with the outside world in pursuit of their reconstruction and development goals. It was of the view that while it is the primary responsibility of the authorities and people of Somaliland to make efforts to acquire political recognition from the international community, the AU should be disposed to judge the case of Somaliland from an objective historical viewpoint and a moral angle vis-a-vis the aspirations of its people. The authorities of Somaliland have successively visited the AU Commission in 2003, 2004, and early 2005, seeking an observer status for Somaliland within the AU, not only to be able to follow developments on the continent, but also to gain a platform from which the country can state its case for being recognised as a sovereign state. That proposed status is based on the recognition by the Somalilanders of the inherited colonial borders at the time of independence from Britain in June 1960. As a result, there is a visibly emotional attachment to the reclaimed independence and a firm determination among the people of Somaliland not to return to the failed union with Somalia, whether or not recognition is granted. Somaliland – situated on the northern tip of the former greater Somalia – boycotted the two-year peace process in Nairobi that culminated in the election of President Abdullahi Yusuf in October 2004. The Somaliland authorities have consistently rejected the idea of reuniting with Somalia, and recently warned that should Africa and the international community insist on Somaliland re-establishing the union, the leaders and people of Somaliland would fight to preserve their independence. The mission takes this line of argument by stating that the Union established in 1960 between Somaliland and Somalia brought enormous injustice and suffering to the people of the region. "The fact that the union was never ratified and also did not work to satisfaction while it lasted from 1960 to 1990, makes Somaliland's search for recognition historically unique and self-justified in African political history. As such, the AU should find a special method of dealing with this outstanding case," the report recommends. Furthermore, given the acute humanitarian situation prevailing in Somaliland, the AU should mobilise financial resources to help alleviate the plight of the affected communities, especially those catering for internally displaced persons and returnees. The mission set out to assess the prevailing political, socio-economic, security, humanitarian and other related issues, as well as to listen to the concerns of the leadership and people of Somaliland, and duly report back the findings and the recommendations to the AU Commission for further action. It was led by the deputy chairperson of the Commission, Patrick Mazimhaka. While calling upon the interna-tional community to consider the issue of self-determination objectively, the mission noted evidence of democratic institutions sprouting among them; the constitution of Somaliland, which entrenches, among other aspects, the separation of power between the three arms of government; the balance of political forces built upon the functional co-habitation of traditional governance institutions, as embodied in the political role of clan elders and elected representatives; the existence of active opposition political parties with some capacity to influence public policy; and a budding independent press. The plethora of problems confronting Somaliland in the political, socio-economic, military, humanitarian and other sectors stem from the legacy of a political union with Somalia, that malfunctioned, bringing destruction and ruin upon the population. Though credit has to be given to Somaliland for promoting a democratic order within a relatively short span of time, there are gaps that need attention from both policy makers and the individual citizens. One critical gap lies in gender relations in terms of the predominance of men in the various structures, institutions and processes.

  9. Originally posted by General Duke: ^^^ Xarago, my cause is just. I want a restoration of state power, not clan power or disunity. Just..? Just you said , then why do you deem Maxamed Dheere not 'just', or Qanyare, or Muse Sudi. And why was Maxamed Dheere 'just' for you yesteryear and not today. Your just seems to have ring around and classifies with who ever is with C/llahi Yusuf. Is he the paramount of your 'just' and his surroundings the level bar of your 'just'. Walalo seriously speaking dont you find yourself lost when you have to praise anyone who shakes hands with C/llahi Yusuf and curse those who refuse to acknowledge him. Just for a moment think of the turmoils you had to go through with the ever changing alliances of C/llahi Yusuf and how many times you had to change ship due to reasons of not your choosing but rather the old man made a sudden turn.
  10. I like the way you add up and make it suitable for you. Before what can Qanyare, Muse, Cato, do in Mogadishu without Maxamed Dhere and his Banadir Alliance of Bashir Rage and C/raxman Cadani. Now you have twisted and changed guards and still find it suiting to your needs. There will be time when you realise all does not add up. I remember there was a time I said that the difference between you and the other camp in SOL is that you find a poetic justice for your cause while others like Xoogsade want to defend their cause at arms lenght. That makes the difference.
  11. Duke.Bit edgy arent we? So you refused to answer the question, but I repeat in another form, how was Maxamed dhere usefull? Was he usefull to C/llahi Yusf's cause or usefull to the national cause? And since you are amused and excited by the recent decline of the warlord power thanx to the wadaads, tell me how are you sure they will be friendly with C/llahi, the wadaads I mean. You are right 'it aint over till the fat lady sings', cause there is still a lot of time remaining for C/llahi to make new friends and make his old friends his new enemies. Wonder why he likes that policy though?

  13. Xoogsaade walalo read my script Qanyare, Sudi, Caato, Bashir rage, et al are the worst scumbags that ever existed . Ok. I dont support them nor see them as human beings. But am opposing is to present the so called wadaads as an alternative and a better one.For me simply I believe the Islamic courts are not up to the standard they claim and to be precise they have the same intentions as the warlords, share the same attributes but are falsifying by pretending to be what they are not, actual Islamic Courts. The Islamic Courts in Xamar have done nothing to elavate the suffering from the people of Xamar except increase the burden .
  14. Ooooohhhhhhhhh...! Am begining to like this. Duke showing his true colours. Mohamed Dhere is a legend, great patriot, visionary man, and most of all a man who has in his heart the well being of his country all that was according to you Mr.Duke. Today according to your own words once again It seems like Mohamed Dheere has served his purpose. . Let me ask what purpose was that, is it the same purpose those in Baydhabo are serving now? Why dont you answer, that is if you can, directly the questions posed by Maxamed Dhere which is the distribution of the arms which were received from Yemen. Instead of labelling him with all the names you can thik of. Listen to the man speaking...!
  15. ^^ Indeed it should. If they really want to do something they should send peace-enforcing troops to those hooligans fighting in Garowe,Bosaso,Galkacyo,Geliinsor,,Xamar, Baydhabo,Kismayo,etc.,etc...... Now that would be an affirmative action, dont you think?

If you think an Arab Organisation or any other International Organisation is going to change the aspiration, need, desire, dedication, decision and most of all the will of the Somaliland people then you are in a illusion.

To make a point clear I fear Allah SWT and believe in the principles of His Quran. Unlike you I dont blindly support self-appointed wadaads who in their command rule over rape,land-stealing,drug-dealing,killing and maiming innocent humans created by Allah SWT and who worship and believe in his Deen. I dont ,unlike you, support an Islamic court that punishes an individual who has no strong or armed clan behind him. These Islamic corts you so vividly support are an insult,if not more, to the name they claim. I bet your support for them is based on tribal affiliation, hence it will not be wrong to concur had your tribal leaders all of a sudden decided to embark on introducing the teachings and practice of Budhadism in Xamar you would have been a staunch supporter.
  19. I was thinking of posting this in the Joke section but then I thought it might be a support, considering they have nothing else, for those who are blindly supporting the Islamic courts against the warlords. I wont however be suprised if they produce this as an element to prove why all those who hate the warlords should support the wadaads. 21. Originally posted by Alle-ubaahne: Then, you are either a tribalist or one of the popular altra-secularist party. I think my answer to that question will lie within the context of your answer to my following question. Are the Islamic Courts in Xamar in real terms those who qualify for the title they proclaim? Or in other words have the Islamic Courts in Xamar fullfilled the basic necessaties(let alone grand one) to function as an Islamic Court. Now if your answer to all that is yes then am afraid you are all that you accuse me of. Just one thing for you to ponder the bullets fired by the soldiers of the so called Islamic Courts in Xamar on their recent skirmishes killed or maimed innocent children, mothers and civilians. Please dont tell me that they had to die in order for the Islamic court to achieve their intention, for that is rubbish and very unislamic thing to do.
  22. Will-ducoIdont believe there is thosewhoareon 'wadada-xaqa-ah'inMogadishu.What am against is actually to term those self pro-claimed Islamic courts asfighters of justice, which I believe they are not.
  23. You did exactly what I was afraid you will do walalo. Distancing your links from ina dahir unlike Duke who will not do the same but rather find a poetic justice for his uncle. That is not my point, and please accept my sincere condolences for yuour lost uncle, however much it is late it is yet very sad for me. Going back you failed to mention the link of Hassan Dahir and the role he has played in creating the current scenario amid the waddads and dhigcabyasha. Is he an innocent involver by circumstances or has he contributed to it so violently? Am sure you will agree with me the actions of your nephew which is so sincere, humble and certain of his values cannot be compared with those of the Islamic courts in Mogadishu who judge whether people are Muslims or not, now I wonder who gave them that authority. And also whose jurisdiction does not affect those who are wealthy and close to them clan wise.As I said before Xoogsade qanyare,Suudi,Ragge, Caato are the worst scums ever , but what I want you to judge is are the Islamic courts true to their words?
  24. Originally posted by Xoogsade: Xarago, Very impressive, I thought Your only knowledge was about loving to hate Duke for his uncle's unwavering support Indeed, but this time walalo it is you and your uncles who are creating the mess and are in the limelight. Read this article and ponder before you respond with accusations such as it is an American evil plan to fight against Islam. And please bear in mind that in your hood over the last couple of years have seen the killing of well known moderate Somalis be it politicians, intellectuals, or even former high ranking officers of the Somali armed forces. Likewise on parallel contrary missons we have seen the assasinations and abductions of prominent Sheikhs. And Xoogasade walalo feel free to accuse Duke's uncle and point out his finger prints which are all over the place.. .But be fair and be frank about the direct involvement of Sheikh Hassan Dahir Aweys and his underlying intentions. Somali Violence Spotlights Fundamentalists By RODRIQUE NGOWI Associated Press Writer February 23, 2006, 10:59 PM EST NAIROBI, Kenya -- A recent upsurge in violence in Somalia's capital has focused attention anew on the rise of Islamic fundamentalism in the chaotic Horn of Africa state. The violence had killed at least 22 people and wounded more than 140 since Saturday. Sheik Hassan Dahir Aweys, said by the United States to be linked to al-Qaida, is prominent among the fundamentalists increasingly projecting themselves as an alternative to the numerous armed groups running the clan-based fiefdoms that comprise Somalia. Somalia has been without an effective central government since 1991, when warlords overthrew the government and then began fighting each other. Wednesday, Aweys pledged to keep fighting a new alliance arrayed against him in Mogadishu, the Somali capital. Mogadishu was calm Thursday as elders sought to mediate. Aweys described his rivals as "forces of evil" supported by Western powers. His rivals, meanwhile, describe the fundamentalists as terrorists, accusing them of killing moderate intellectuals, Muslim scholars and former military officials in a string of unexplained murders. Islamic militias have set up their own courts in some parts of Mogadishu, where they shut down bars and destroy shops that reproduce or sell pirated DVDs and music cassettes. Counterterrorism experts in the U.S. and elsewhere have long worried that al-Qaida could find a haven in Somalia, taking advantage of its instability and perhaps finding hosts among men like Aweys. The United States linked Aweys, who has vowed to establish an Islamic state, to al-Qaida shortly after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. Aweys has said such allegations were invented by his enemies. Last year, U.N. experts monitoring an arms embargo on Somalia reported that Islamic hard-liners were importing heavy weapons and establishing military training camps. Among them were members of Al-Ittihad al-Islami, which wants to impose Islamic law in Somalia and allegedly has ties to al-Qaida. Also last year, the International Crisis Group reported the emergence of a Mogadishu extremist cell led by a young Somali militant trained in Afghanistan, where al-Qaida was once based. The International Crisis Group, a private think tank which tracks conflicts around the world, noted that al-Qaida contributed to attacks on U.S. and U.N. peacekeepers in Somalia in the early 1990s and used the country as a transit zone for attacks in neighboring Kenya and later as a hiding place for some of its leading members. Saturday, a coalition of warlords and businessman announced they were taking a stand against the fundamentalists. They said in a statement they would "eradicate the extremists, terrorists and their supporters so as to pave the way for a peaceful country for the Somali children." The emergence of the coalition is evidence the warlords see the fundamentalist as a serious threat. With stakes high on both sides, it could signal the start of a significant deterioration in security in an already lawless land. Source Nabadshe, my point was the so called Sheikhs cannot impose the ruling of the Sharia untill they establish the ground work for its introduction. Am sure you will agrre with me in no wheree in Somalia and Somaliland is there the existance of a place where the Islamic way of life is practiced. And I stand by my view.
  25. As far as my knowledge is concerned the establishment of Islamic Courts should be preceded by the introduction of Islam itself as trhe way of life, the teaching of its tenets and basic knowledge. The establishmend of a society where you first introduce to it its benefits before you govern them on its teachings. Islamic Court or for this matter cannot just pop-up like a new found political ideology. Islam in pronciple is decreed by Allah SWT and he did so inorder for his Umah to follo it and treat each other justifyingly. For the Islamic courts in Xamar to warrant this they have to first take the smaller steps. Now we know they have a court, do they have the ability or have they had the ability to furnish with the society all the other requirements such as the needs of the social welfare of the umah. Big NO. For me Qanyare is a looter and those that are fighting against him now are not per se Islamic Courts but those who use the Sharia Law according to their needs. Anyone in SOL who comes saying that Shekh Hassan Dahir and his co. are defenders of the word of Allah SWT have an issue they are defending which is anything else but Islam. The victims in the recent skirmishes between the alliance of counter terrorism and Islamic courts are as usually the innocent defenceless and weak people. Counter-terrorism they say, and is led by Qanyare,Muse Sudi, Bashir Rage, etc. Someone needs to asdk then who are terrorist if not them?
