Actually peacenow, what is really weak is your argument. You blame Islam for all the problems in Somalia, when it is actually the solution!! Originally posted by peacenow: Abolish the clan system , forbide discussion of it in any form at state level This is the answer right here. I read this in the paper the other day. LOL it makes me wonder how much perfume she's wearing, if the driver had to actually get off the bus!! But if there are people like this driving the buses and obviously don't deal very well with the public, it's time to get a new job.

I don't know what the hell you Brits speak, but over here in Canada, we speak English!! P.S. Anyone seen Russel Peters video "Outsourced"? Where he is speaking like a Brit? "I'm from England. Aaaahhhh!"

I've been trying to prove our awesomeness all this time, and this is what you're whining about? Speaking of lame topics, this one turned out to be really lame. If you wanted me to start more topics, you should've just asked. I'll flood the place.

I tell ya, it's cause we're all freaking awesome!!

That wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, the way everyone's talking in here, but still cruel nonetheless.

We're all freaking awesome?

I had something else in mind when I saw the title "Monster in Bed"!!

You had to tell me that while I'm eating Kraft Dinner, didn't you?

Geez, this argument was soooooo 2 days ago.

As you can see, Trevor, Somalis have too much xaasidnimo to just go and vote for you You'd better be serving the good stuff if you wanna win this prize!!

Congrats, Northerner! I checked the list, and you're the 2nd most poster. But you'd better start going to the politics section if you want any chance of passing by #1, Abdullahi Yusuf Duke. He's goit twice as many posts as you, and believe me, there's quite a bit more rubbish in those posts than in yours.

Yeah, that,s right, you need to vote for at least 5 things. So here you go.... Best coach: Jacques Lemaire(coach of the Minnesota Wild) Best Wild player: Marian Gaborik(without him, the Wild aren't playing for a playoff spot) Best Timberwolves player: Kevin Garnett(I guess, because he's the only Timberwolves player I know) And then you can vote for Safari Express for best new restaurant and best steakhouse.

That buskeeti is sounding real good right about now.....But why do you have to charge 25 cents for besbaas? That should be free.

^LOL You make it sound like I should check my peanut butter for worms. I hate it when people make dumb excuses for things we know is najaas in the first place. Yes, we have refrigeration, and yes we cook our food, that doesn't make pork any more halaal. And as long as I don't know I'm swallowing spiders, I don't care how many of them get into my mouth, I'm sure they've got lots of protein. P.S. Urban, I used to love bacon sandwiches. I still eat them with turkey bacon from time to time.

Originally posted by Cara: 1. It's fake. Why didn't they keep filming for 2 measly minutes and then just speed up the video? 2. Your classmates would likely be eating cooked sausages, Dave, which probably wouldn't have living worms in them, IF the pork came from an infected animal, which would be unlikely nowadays. As for whether it's fake or not, who knows? Regardless, we know how dirty pigs are anyways, so I don't see why it would be such a huge shocker if they carried worms. As for the pork being cooked, I'm sure you probably know this already, but I'll tell you anyways. Cooking meat with worms in it does not make the worms disappear. Whoever eats that is eating dead worms. That may be worse than eating live worms. Uff caleek!! And yeah, God forbid that an animal could be infected, like whatever eh!! Animals don't get dieases, that's just a fairy tale.

Inna lillahi wa inna illayhi rajicuun. Amin to all du'as above, Bob, I feel for your loss. We all have to go sometime, but regrettably, some of us go much earlier in life. Insha Allah we need change in Muqdisho.

I am looking for people who: - have a fluent grasp of both Somali and English, written and spoken. Errrrrr.....Yes, I am fluent in English! - can understand and identify with Somali people of all ages and with all aspects of Somali culture in Britain Depends....Is the Somali culture in Britain different from the one in Canada? - are open-minded and inclusive Most definitely. - are not afraid to tackle sensitive issues Me? Never. - and most importantly, have a sense of humour about everything. People say I'm a weirdo. That's what my sense of humour is like. But the problem is that I'm not Somali, and I'm also 7 time zones away from London(or Greenwich to be precise. They're both in the same time zone anyways, arent they?)But I will be happy to work with you as long as you can send me a first-class ticket on British Airways.

I don't see why you would have a problem in disclosing that information, seeing as you're not a "fake mullah", right? I haven't failed to mention where I live; I wasn't asked. If this is about a tit-for-tat of you're also a citizen of the West , then it's not how it works. I didn't say I am not a "fake mullah"; I said I don't know whether I am one or not, as only those who know me can tell. Check again the comment where I said that. I was just referring to the other thread where you were asked that question. So let's try this again. Where do you live? I know your location says "From:JIS" meaning Jamhurriyada Islaamiga ee Soomaaliya(think I spelled that right). I just wanna know, that's all.

Originally posted by Taliban: Sxb, all I am trying to say is, there's a big responsibility that comes with being a Muslim citizen in the West. I might be a little more inclined to agree with you if I had moved to Canada from a Muslim country purely for economical reasons, but I was born here and this is my home. So just like there are millions of Americans who disagree with Bush's policies, they should not be blamed for Abu Ghraib, or anything else in Iraq, that's preposterous. As well, I did not vote in Canada's federal election in 2001, and even if Allah SWT were to judge me on that, whether I voted or not, I still didn't become Muslim until May 2002, so anything before that has been wiped off my record. Thank you, come again. P.S. You talk a lot about the "responsibilities of a Muslim in the west", but you have failed to mention where you live? I don't see why you would have a problem in disclosing that information, seeing as you're not a "fake mullah", right?

It doesn't matter who/what MC voted for; who/what the majority of Canadian citizens voted for is what factors, the rest will share responsibility. Isn't that what Democracy is about? If the majority of Canadians vote for an increase of 10% in federal taxes, it will not absolve those who voted against it from paying the taxes. As a matter of fact, when this all happened back in 1993, I was 15 years old and ineligible to vote. Listen brother, I can understand your anger at this atrocity, but how do you think I feel, as a Muslim, am I not angry as well? This isn't a "me vs. you" debate bro, we're on the same side. Or else I could start rattling off the atrocities committed by your own(read:internationally recognised) government. How would you like it I held you accountable for letting in Ethiopian troops to run free and rape your women and children while they mercilessly kill your men, claiming to be protecting their own sovereignty? Pretty foolish, I'd say..... Anyways, let's just remember we're all brothers under Islam, and I have nothing to do with what happened in Beledweyne.
-
I have nothing to do with that. The actions of my country's gov't and military are entirely upon their own heads, and I take absolutely no responsibility for whatever they do there, good or bad.

So is Canada doing anything?
