Good news to his family, if true Illey is the one who deserves credit.

what?

Illey has committed atrocities and has slaughtered his own people to appease his Tigray masters for years, assuming they will rule forever, and now the noose is slowly tightening on him and soon he'll pay his crimes. Makhtal wouldn't see the light of day had it not been the massive Oromia uprising that started Dec. 2015.

I am afraid to say that, you have not a clue to what you wrote. Why not for a change think differently. I know the Somali population is too big and matured to be in one political party or interest, but is small enough to have common interest.

Can you explain if you do not mind, what is the main interest of the Somali Ethiopian population/ What would be your no.1 no.2 ..priorities if you had to sit on Illey's chair?

Be specific and practical. General propaganda doesn't have a place here.

Qofkii damiir leh ayaa hadalku wax ka taraa.

He is accusing us denying victory to the Somalis. We always encourage Somali success, but not on the expense of our national goal.

Listen, It is your job to put Somalis against one another and encourage the fragmentation  while claiming to be in favor of Somali regions prospering without cohesive national government.

No one is denying the struggle the ONLF did, and the likes of the Illey were hired the blood he spilled against the ONLf. Unless you are a " Munaafiq" going left and right, Bashir Makhtal was rotting in jail for 12 years and none of the negotiations with ONLf or anyone else released him.

In fact the former foreign minister of Canada John Biard, who was elected from Ottawa -Nepean area of Ontario, Canada, which was Bashir's home, tried everything. They kept him for fear of Mr. Makhtal joining the struggle with the famous name of his grandfather which would automatically give credit to the movement.

All the Somalis released both in Jigjiga and Addis were made possible by the Oromo protest, period.

I am afraid you have misunderstood my intention and reading of the situation.

I have no reason or motive to defend the person of Illey, but the measures taken under his leadership.

The biggest problem at the time was lack of peace and order in the kilil. There were 3 options to deal with the problem

1. Bring ethiopian military from everywhere and fight

2. The federal government take over the kilil (constitutionally allowed by Cabinet and later parliament approval)

3. The Somali take charge and bring order and peace on his own, by his own

The third was choice of most and was done. Accomplished.

The region was far behind in education and health:

Co-ordinated resources, brought in Federal and also foreign countries including US and achieved what can be called spectacular success.

Its also sad when you see some people even going out of their way to mention Illey and clan in same sentence. These are folks who want their turn at the chair nothing else, no alternative policy.

In conclusion, is not a person, but policies and actions adapted and taken.

Look, I will be the first to admit that Illey has done a lot in terms of development in the region. The effort to eliminate the Gabooye marginalization is probably the biggest success of Cabdi Illey, and on that same note, the Tigray had done some good things in Ethiopia, but change is necessary for the project to continue or it will die. It simple as that

Since you like mentioning the tribe thing,  just like Hargeisa thieves, everything is done in his clan region. Out of the nine region,  seven are managed by his clan.

When the Oromo were crying for change, you dismissed as people who want their turn. My friend , political change after ten years of Illey is overdue.

Lol@ OO.

Dear old boy, keep up your religious-like incantation about Somali Kilil this and Somali Kilil that: At the end of the day, the corrupt Tigray elites will not succeed with their wish of using Somalis as a shield against the coming  wrath of the Oromo on the thieving Tigre.

Keep us out of it, mate... we’re confident that we will be just fine, regardless of how good or bad affairs become in the xabash lands for your lot.
