Next customer is South Sudan.

South Sudan wants a pipeline for oil to avoid disputes with Sudan

Port services to avoid Kenya

That is probably why they have all this trouble. Sudan is fair to them and quite friendly considering they split recently, but the Egyptians are very friendly to South Sudan and not so friendly to Sudan, go figure.

There is actually memorundum of understanding between Djibouti and South Sudan. Of course it all goes through Ethiopia, but that does not seem to be problem for both of them.

That is right. The stars seem to be aligning for Berebera. Djibouti is running out of capacity even with 2 new ports one dedicated for Potash and the other for cattle/meat. Speed of implementation maybe critical before the crazy Arabs again change their friendships and enmities among each other.
