After their brief detention they were released.. After the incident, the Ethiopian government demanded the sacking of the mayor and the governor which the Somaliland government did so quitely . So these news of foreign troops coming to Somalialnd town and taking with them the offending journalist does not surprise me. It is news for those who bury their head in the sand. International rules pertain Through nation state only, how else can a bureaucrat in Jigjiga could single handily close a satellite television without due course. The important issue here is not the station coming online again but the kidnap and detention of a Somaliland citizen by the Ethiopian forces inside Somaliland. HCTV fought its corner as a free media though and will continue to air anti Ethiopia news. Media is a powerful tool hence why the K5 admin cried about HCTV for airing the facts.
