Let me little describe what is mentioned on video.

 

First part, about water. He mentions that many neighbourhoods in Hargeisa has no water access so these honkey-carriages deliver water to those locations.

 

Second part, he especially likes breads cooked on wood-fire, he says it is delicious. But he also comments on lack of hygene on food selling places (meat at open, cooked food without any cover etc). It is unsual for a Turk to see that heavy breakfast; he says in Somaliland breakfast without beans and samusa is not considered a breakfast. (we turks prefer tea/coffee, eggs, cheese, olive oils etc at breakfast, I mean it is much lighter)

 

On school part, there are 8 Turkish and 8 SL teachers working on 200 pupil boys-only school. Much of material is brought from Turkiye. Education Minister often visit school and she is especially requesting a girls school to be setup. Kids are taught basic sciences, English, Somali and Turkish Languages. Local authorities especially like computer lab and smart-board that students are very proficient. Kids have a very good comment in Turkish Language to the point to recite poems, conduct theatr plays etc.

 

High School kids are very interesting. Most of them want to be engineers; Construction, petroleum, chemistry engineers. Only one kid says he wants to be a heart surgeon Last kid says a very good prayer for teachers and sponsors of this school, he says “May Allah reserve best place on heaven for these people”, very touching.

 

Education Minister comments about school, relations with Turkiye etc. She says a very interestng thing. She says "when Turkish teachers come here, settle, walk on the streets, they don’t act like they are foreigners, they act like one of ours”

 

Personally I think this is sad. Clearly Turkiye could do a lot lot more in here, especially on basic infrastructure and health. It seems our government refrains itself from domestic politics and doesnot want to give any wrong message that contradicts with unity of Federal Structure. As an outsider, I would love to see SL participation and support in Federal State building as an integral part. Clearly this would pave the way for many good developments.
