America's Dad is under siege - What will echo most when we hear Cosby's name?

Bill Cosby

In the future, what will echo most when we hear Bill Cosby's name?

Will he forever be known as that beloved figure who starred in a groundbreaking family sitcom, was a voice of moral authority on black culture and education and made audiences laugh for decades with his stand-up comedy? Or is Cosby risking a serious tarnishing of that image right now as allegations of rape continue to swirl around him? On Sunday, the second woman in a 10-day span, publicist Joan Tarshis, came forward to tell a story of being sexually assaulted by Cosby. She posted a detailed account on Hollywood Elsewhere of being drugged and abused by Cosby, 77, who has been married to wife Camille since 1964. It's a scenario that has now been told by more than a dozen women, all recounting incidents that happened years ago. On Tuesday, Vice dug up a passage in model Janice Dickinson's 2002 memoir in which she recounted predatory dates with the comedian while in her twenties. By Tuesday night, Dickinson had come forward with more details, alleging rape.

I find this hard to believe. This media circus only came about when a Black Comedian (Hannibal Burress) called Bill Cosby a rapist while he was performing on stage. Ever since then, you have a bunch of women ALL claiming that Cosby raped them like 40 years ago, with absolutely no evidence at all. There isn't even evidence that Cosby even MET some of these women.

They're trying to smear this man's reputation.

Guilty or not, Bill Cosby has been judged "guilty" by the media and the court of public opinion. So his legacy has forever been tarnished because of this.

Tallaabo

^ In the last two decades western justice system has been eroded by the mass media and public hysteria. The hugely important principle of "innocent until proven guilty" seems to be rendered irrelevant when high profile figures are accused so publicly, humiliated, their careers destroyed, their reputation tarnished, and relationships put in jeopardy well before they get the chance to clear their names through the courts. The charge of "Rape" is also being so over used by the authorities to convict mostly innocent people for actions like having sex with a drunk woman.

Now these Liberals are pulling "The Cosby Show" off of their networks. People are judging Bill Cosby as guilty even though he's never been convicted of a crime.

Saaxib, these people are trashing these men, destroying their reputations, and harming their careers, merely based off some accusation which no one can prove.

Nowadays in America, a man's life/career can be destroyed based ONLY on a woman's accusation.
