N.O.R.F Posted July 3, 2013 So much for reports
NGONGE Posted July 3, 2013 ^^ Did you see the reasons? https://www.gov.uk/government/speeches/khat (Hadaw ha "aax" yaan lagaa maqlin uun).
N.O.R.F Posted July 3, 2013 Those reasons go against the basis of YOUR argument. Wax fahan.
Apophis Posted July 3, 2013 This idiotic woman just turned a law abiding and tax paying community into criminals thanks to, no doubt, the head in the sand "ban it all" brigade, going even against the scientific advice that the plant caused little "harm". But the big blame lies with the inept Kenyan government who appear to have been caught sleeping on the job and will now lose a sizeable chunk of change. I hope coffee is banned next, its mild high has caused endless damage to society and is really no different to khat: Khat consumption induces mild euphoria and excitement, similar to that conferred by strong coffee
Alpha Blondy Posted July 3, 2013 i'm somewhat ambivalent about this, you know.

None of them are proper reasons (and all go against the report of her advisors). War it's nonsense. But now that the box is open, let us wait and see what happens. N.O.R.F Posted July 3, 2013 The open borders you talked about dee. It was all coming through UK. I can see many will move back home now
Tallaabo Posted July 3, 2013 Thank God for this wise decision taken by Theresa May. Now I think a lot of absent fathers will be physically and emotionally available for their wives and children.
Apophis Posted July 3, 2013 Of course the plant will be available in London (and other places), ban or no ban because one can find class A stuff easily available in Leicester square (and throughout the country) on any given day then you can bet khat will also be available. Only thing that will change will be the suppliers going underground and, more likely than not, said suppliers connecting with organised crime. This is what you get when policy is led by emotion rather than reason.

Khat will from now on be as inaccessible as the other controlled substances without taking significant risks.
