horta, i thought you were aware of the situation on the ground....:P i don't know about Somalia, but here in the SL Republic....weekends usually begin Thursdays PM. although, i propose that working conditions should be formalised to ensure FULL PRODUCTIVITY.

in Islamic countries Being off on Friday-saturday is more feasible....I have lived that first hand and I enjoyed much more than Thursday-Friday...

 

If Somalia follows, Will this make the Maahmaah "Sabti ulo badan" outdated

I hope it comes sooner rather than later (it has taken 6 years just to approve the study into it). Fri/Sat weekend is a lot better than Thurs/Fri. There is no disconnect from the rest of the world. This change is being pushed by the business community as dealing with other companies within the rest of the GCC is difficult when they're on a different weekend meaning they're losing two days out of the 5.
