Talks between the Somali Prime Minister and the raskambooni faction ends in complete failure

Xiinoow, just wanna remind Ngonge the difference between country and government. Dissenting voices in Kismayo (and SOL members) are expressing their disagreement with government policies toward federal state formation. Wheres folks up North are sparing no effort to dismember their own country.

NGONGE

^^ The difference is very clear. The arguments presented by the Jubbaland folks (at least according to you) are not. That's what makes me smile here.

Baashi,

and the difference could not manifest better in our attitude toward Somalia; the unionists with all their differences (which have been remarkably getting smaller) are busy architecting a new political structure, while the separatists are holding onto a political experience that has not bought them much, AND are at the mercy of the unionists, politically speaking.

That ngonge conveniently confuses the birth pangs of the federal Somalia in Kismayo as a new divide that is analogous to the failed ideology in the North is quite telling where things has been lately with our brothers in Hargeysa --quite isolated and lonely :D

^^You are forgiven, good NGONGE, for confusing Jubbaland supporters with Northern separatists. The only explanation I could find for such a big slip of judgment is your need for company :D

^^ War dee naga daa. My laughter is at the arguments the Jubbalanders present for their cause, not at all about the issue itself. As for confusing them with Somaliland, well that would be like confusing a bristling cat for a lion. Wax fahan.

Their constitutional argument of having the right to establish a federal state WITHIN the federal structure of Somalia is akin with separatists arguments for being an independent state based on colonial borders ? :D :D

Actually such comparison should be source for laughter

Somalilanders are just giving their opinion on these matters no need to read into it deeply

The reason why its being discussed its because its a hot topic.

I think the day the koonfurians accept somaliland statehood, is the day they can demand sl should not talk about their affairs

Nin kuleh isku dal ma nihin iyo mid kuleh isku dal baanu nahaqasab, hadana hadaad amuurihisa ka hadashid ku odhanaya maxaad uga hadlaysa adigu yaa ku fasaxay.

By the way siera leone troops will replace the kikuyus

Kismayo talks collapse says Somali government

Somali Interior minister Abdkarim Hussien Guled

Hiiraan Online

Friday, March 29, 2013

After five days of negotiations, Somalia’s federal government announced collapse of the long awaited talks led by the Somali prime minister Abdi Farah Shirdon and Kismayo’s interim governor Ahmed Madobe.

Somali Interior minister Abdkarim Hussien Guled who has accompanied the prime minister in Kismayo talks made the announcement at a press conference in the city.

“Negotiations between Somali federal government and Kismayo interim administration hit a deadlock” said Mr. Abdikarim.

He pointed out that his government made many sacrifices for it’s constitutional rights in order to break the deadlock and accused the interim administration for not doing enough to reach a political settlement.

“Our discussions were focusing on the creation of local administration, management of the port and airport, security, reconciliation and the liberation of the remaining areas, but all of them collapsed after the local leaders made unconstitutional demands” said the minister.

There are reports indicating that some of the federal government delegation have left Kismayo following the disagreements.

Interim administration of Kismayo which is led by Shiekh Ahmed Madobe is yet to comment on the matter.

The failure of the talks came after Somali Prime Minister Abdi Farah Shirdon arrived in Kismayo on Tuesday with high level delegation of ministers and MPs and started direct negotiations with local leaders.
