The well-planned coronation of Fiqi Bashiir Cabdulle was a momentous event for the Northern Mudug/Southern Nugaal community. My heartfelt congrats to the new Fiqi and the diaspora community and citizen volunteers that made this event truly possible.

I've never heard of the title Fiqi before. I've heard of suldaan, ugaas, garaad, islaan, caaqil and malaaq, but not Fiqi. Congrats to him and beeshiisa nontheless.

Wadani, I am not sure if the title Fiqi existed in this community before.

Fiqi is a title of the clan which has historical contexts to the father of this laf, so it's not a new title, it has to do with personal characteristics. Titles such as this, Islaan, Beeldaaje are mainly from the regions of Puntland.

 

Congratulations to the new Fiqi, it is a wise choice which bring together many people and is needed very much to safeguard the midnimo of people.
