Stoic: it's politics; it's not supposed to be people sitting around holding hands singing kumbaya, no, it's father against son, brother against brother.Only place cutthroat-ness is morally justified. Politics is truly a thing of beauty.

It is politics and all you say is correct but Stoic is right too. One must ALWAYS leave himself a way out when it comes to opposing current situations. Somalis (particularly our erudite A&T) always go charging in and then sheepishly try to backtrack when things change. It's not a good look! :D

^^ If it were a one off then fine but if it becomes a habit it only shows you up as someone who is a total amateur. Wax fahan.

^^ Not at all. He's been awful in the past few months and his backtracking has become more evident. His indiscipline always lets him down. :D

^^ You don't want politics to be open for all, you talk about uniformity and order yet say you're not totalitarian? Hada maxaad tahay?

Libertarianism is the laziest form of political belief. When you look deeply into someone claiming to be a libertarian they're always selective in the freedoms they would like to be bestowed.

A U-turn indeed, he even allowed the export of Dhuxasha that was ready on the port which they made the most noise about.

He's learning politics step -by-step and as the day passes, ninku ilee waa iska unuka :D

Why stand on the way of something you can't stop, be clever and get along lines of 'waanu fasaxnay' iyo 'maamul haloo sameeyo' right from the beginning, I'm sure that would have won him 1 or 2 political points.
