Gedo’s position of the current situation in Jubbaland

Recommended Posts

Jacpher its not wrong its just the way things are in Somalia remember how Sh sharif initially opposed the Kenyan invasion. But Abdiweli gaas was for the Kenyan troops in Somalia. Later they both welcomed it together after much pressure from IGAD countries and the IC its a well known fact that PMs and Presidents in Somalia don't share the same views on all issues You can have different thoughts about certain subjects and you can change ur policies no one is saying the prime minister is a clan prime minister or the president is a clan president.

Maccalinka... whether it was pre or post said barre, reer gedo made their presences known in kismanyo and no one is trying to argue against it. ur above statement that tolka is playing waite and see game is discouraging bro. They have as much at stake in Jubaland as anyone else and played/playing an important role in nairobi talks. I hope they continue contributing their own ideas in the conversation. I am hearing indho cade and co are holding meetings with reer gedo in the hopes of creating new jva allience. hope tolka does no fall into the trap...

The Gedo community supports the framework of the current Jubbaland agreed to by the local stakeholders. It is not strategic for them to get involved in this public squabble. Make no mistake that they are central to the issue and with time will showcase their central position in this movement.

It is counter productive to assume that framework is at odds with the Federal Government's vision for federal Somalia. Just wanted to clarify that.

The possibilities for the NFD (backed by Kenya) and Faroool’s folks who are masquerading behind the big Kab iyo Lax umbrella to sideline Gedo folks are there .
