SL needs a young educated President or Vice President from Sool or Eastern Sanaag after the current leaves office.

Somalia needs unionist and patriotic somali from Northwest Triangle as President of Prime Minister of Somalia like Prof. Ismaaciil Buubaa

Former Foreign Minister of Somalia Professor Ismail Buubaa Supports United Somalia

(WidhWidh Online) In an interview with the secessionist website “togaherer”, the legend Statesman and unionist professor Ismail Mohamud Hurre “Buubaa” has supported the establishment of Khaatumo State of Somalia, Awdal State of Somalia, and other regional administrations he says appear to be in the pipeline, without giving specifics, within the northern part of Somalia. Mr. Ismail Buubaa had been at one point the Foreign Minister in the Transitional National Government (TNG) of Somalia from 2001 – 2004. Also, for clarification purposes Mr. Ismail Buubaa hails from the ***** clan where you can find a lot of unionists, but, unfortunately, face punishment and persecution in expressing their views openly on the hand of the secessionist administration in Hargeysa.

Here are important highlights of his interview:

- The population of Khaatumo State of Somalia were never part of the unilateral secession

- Khaatumo State of Somalia population have all the rights to determine their own political direction and that their resolve to remain within a united Somalia has been known to all

- On the issue of the ferocious attacks the one clan secessionist administration keeps launching on the Khaatumo of Somalia territory, Mr. Ismail Buubaa has made it known that Khaatumo State of Somalia has no blame on their part, but stressed that it’s the Somaliland forces who are carring out the raids and aggression with the full responsibility resting on the secessionist administration in Hargeisa

- And, on how he sees the solution, professor Buubaa did not mince his words, he says “….Siilaanyo must pull his militia out of the Khaatumo State of Somalia boundaries to restore the mutual coexistence and good neighborly realtions

- He advices Mr. Siilaanyo and his secessionist supporters to come to their senses, stop the hostilities, pull their militia back, and use wisely the opportunity availed by the London Conference and the British Government and embrace the Somali Unity again where all Somali Stakeholders find a win win situation and everyone is appropriately accommodated

- Mr. Ismail Mohamud Hurre “Buubaa” has mentioned one crucial point that he was a senior member of the rebellion Somali National Movement (SNM) and that the SNM charter and principles never included secession to divide Somalia, and re-iterates that he maintains that principle of unity. This is an evidence that later in 1991 the agreed upon principles of the SNM were hijacked and had been misplaced

Togaherer Website is commended on this interview because it’s a brave under- taking given this kind of reporting is in short supply due to the circumstances of media harassment and jailing that is prevalent in the one clan secessionist enclave

Absolutely not in the present circumstances. The carrot didn't work and will not work in the immediate future. Only the stick works. Las Anod and surrounding area are the perfect testament to that. They will learn to live with the circumstances and eventually become productive citizens of the Somaliland state.

Why not? They're willing to live with Ethiopian, Kenyan, and Ugandan overlords in Somalia down South.

Just pointing out the reality in the smoke of rhetoric....

Saaxib traitors and local thugs brought you to Las Anod and some areas. If your so called stick works, try Buhoodle. As for LA,its just a matter of time.Stay tuned.

Interesting take of the period of late Mr. M. I. Egal and the original estrangement that took place there. Which essentially created the rift we are still dealing with at this time where his "community" are concern.

In other words, he is almost right, historically, of what late Mr. M. I. Egal response was to him and his constituency, when they have sided with his arch-enemy of that time, namely that of Mr. Seleebaan Gaal, during the presidential election of
1997
.

Hence, that is all true. But, still, he made a local difficulty in a more profound one, which is when he crossed the Rubicon and joined the Pirate-land crew as a result of his fall out with late Mr. Egal.

But, now, that is all water under the bridge; hence, he has task in hand at the moment to bring this fissure in which he originally opened it up to a close. Hence, his talk of "real deal" for his community from the rest of Somaliland. And, I think, that could be had, if, time and resources are allocated to it.

Which means, we have few months to shake this problem down; before, the interim authority comes to Somalia, and we maybe asked by the international community to sit down with them, in-order to finalized or
"clarify"
(the operating word in here) our relationship with them.

Which means, it's best not to have any
"loose end"
in your position, in which the your political protagonist could establish a beach-head to which to enter your side of the territory, indeed.

Mr.Oodweyne,

Indeed Xaabsade is right about his constituency being politicly absend from Somaliland and that there should be a deal. But consessions have to come from both sides. What is Somaliland willing to consede? Military presence in Buhoodle like Duur said?

Care to comment on what Xaabsade said ya Liibaanoow?

watever Xaabsade said don't matter, but he admitted that he is the outcast and blacksheep with no support from SSC/Khaatumo people. He also admitted that Khaatumo/SSC People are against Somaliland Clan-Session.

I agree with you Abdul, no talks will take place as long as there is snm clan-secessninist militia killing innocent men, women and children in Khaatumo/SSCland.

THE day Khaatumo State of Somalia will have a talk with maamulka silaanyo is when SL removes their snm militia from the SSC regions and stop attacking/killing innocent people in buhodle. You can not attack someone's house yet pretend you want to have a talk.

People of Khaatumo have united and support their state. They are not going to demand anything from the silanyo maamul. They are entitled to control their lands. taas cidna kama dalbanayaan ama u hos fadhisanayaan.

As for Haabsade. he admitted hes the only one sitting with the snm crew for his own personal gain. He can stay there if he chooses, what he does as an individual is his business. But Saado Cali's words come to mind "ninka marmar wax u tuura wuu ogyahay meeqan daridooda" they will keep him while they think they can use him in some way. But, sooner or later they will realize he doesn't and cant represent reer Khaatumo. Then, I wonder "inay wax ku fali doonaan" - hmm probably NOT!!

salaam
