He's old man that knows this is probably his last chance to be president of that enclave and he's gonna say anything to make sure this election happens preferabbly in the near future-I doubt anything would happen and you gotta give it to the secessionists they have matured politically atleast as far as the Somali world is concerned.

^^^They have not had any major issues, dictator Riyaale and his thuggary have never been challanged till now. How mature they are will be seen in the coming time period. Last time there was issue of who would lead we had a terrible clan warfare.

Duke..I think that war settled atleast to an extent settled who will run that part of Somalia. There is stratification in the north and everybody learned to live with.Besides, if the last two years or so is anything to go by, Siilaanyo is not much an opposition politically or otherwise.I don't think he could mount any effective campaign that would win him the seat but also save the people and if he opts for anything else, he might as well call it quits.

LoooL@Oodweyne.

I enjoy politics more than tolka-any Somali that excels in the art of politics (not the zero sum game in the south) is welcomed change.

^^^lool. "Tolka" have never had a civil clan war like the one between Tuur & Egaal, nor are they beholden to a former NSS spy as the secessionist enclave is.

Adeer spare us the waffle, when will the election take place.

^^^loool. Funny how these “Pirates” made more money than Shankaroons begging the Queen of England.

Also what point are you making adeer, the Pirates are a network much like the Riyaale Junta that is out to make money, fortunately for Puntland they make money elsewhere, while Riyaale’s gang make money out of the SNM clans elders and traders,

Hence we can deal with the Pirates through tough measure, can you deal with Riyaale? :D

^^^Like I have said many times, what can one learn from the secessionists aside from hot air as exemplified by Oodweyne and his waffle.

How wise was it to annoy a powerful cub committee chairman of the United States?

How wise was it to postpone an election for two years?

Ans what about the fact that no country on Earth has recognized you not even Ethiopia who you have sold your souls to?

Oodweyne you are only amusing to me, the secessionist have no clue what they are doing.

Oodka,

The pirate-boys are attempting to distract from the calamity that struck them today when Sharif refused to share the money.

The tireless caravan continues the search for the money.

Sharifka: "Socda, waxba halkan idiin ma yaalaan!" :D

Siilaanyo is right, Somaliland is not a democracy, and never was. Riyaale rules it because most people resigned to the prevalent political inadequacy that is the norm there. But many thought that Siilaanyo would get his chance to rule as an elder statesman. The q is who cheated the old man out of his turn?

The usual weak attempt to divide Somaliland supporters between pro and anti-Siilaanyo camps.

Sorry to disappoint you, but like your sometime follower, Che, admitted today, Somalilanders have passed that maturity milestone quite a while ago.

Now back to the matter at hand, how else can we get some 'cash' for Puntland? These TFG lads refuse to cooperate thus far... ;)

Good. Oodka saasaa lagaa rabaa awoowe.

Here is why I asked the question. Siilaanyo is a political heavy weight, a man who could be considered the father of Somaliland arrangement so what he says matters. When he says that our experiment will be fully aborted if an election does not take place, you either have to agree or disagree. And that is what I expected from you awoowe.

There is no calamity in PL, and you know it. So lets not play tricks here

RedSea

I oppose Rayaale but will not support destruction of Somaliland. Dadkii rer Somaliland arent' itching for war they have already made that clear by tolerating a clear mockery of the election system by Riyaale. Say this was in early 90s Riyaale would have been a goner. Dadkii way iska dageen and meaningless conflict is the last thing in their minds.
