Onlf Shabab Are responsible for current instability in Puntland

Recommended Posts

Cowke

The onlf and shabab community are most likely responsible for the current instability in Puntland.

They send out threats recently towards puntland and this is simply over "refusing the right for puntland to advance it's region and people".

Anyways it's war time, the onlf and shabab wa in laga sifeeya magaloyiinka puntland to send them a warning.

Shacabka Puntland in ay udiyaar garoobaan dagaal adag laga hortagayo dadka diidan(ONLF SHABAB) horumarka, nabada, iyo bulshada puntland.

While I wouldn't have minded if ONLF was indeed the culprits here, they are not.

Their action, which will further cripple Puntland, is coming. Brace for it.

One must not master politics to know the demise of Puntland state is not far. Shabab will tighten things up in the south, Somaliland will encroach from the North, internal fueds and maladminstratin and Mucaaradnimo is the hallmark of the inhabitats of the region, and ONLF will take decisive and coordinated blows insha-allah some time soon.

Your rants and bravado are not more than the fart a dog breaks out to put off a raging furnace, dear Cowke. What more could you do to ONLF? Capture few more men and women and pass them on? Go ahead!

By the way, Ethiopia'da laftigeeda lala heshiin karaa haddad wax weyn u aragtid.

Abtigiis, with all due respect your war is with ethiopia and has nothing to do with Puntland. Why bring your disputes to other people. Orood raga iska celi ma ceeb baa?

If i was having a fight with someone in the street, I wouldn't bring my next door neighbour into it. It has nothing to do with him.

Anyways I know if ONLF wants to cease hostilities towards ethiopia, they can.

Cowke, in war, there are always what you call displaced civillians and refugees. There are international conventions and principles that protect them and national authorities whereever must adhere to it. Faroole was a refugee in Austraila, no one told him go back to Puntland and make your home at peace. It is because the world understands that wars break out for whatever reason, and individuals must not pay for it as long as they are not involved.

Faroole has broken all moral and legal norms known. If you see an ONLF in every child, mother and refugee man in Bossaso and Garowe, so be it. Kill them if you want. Even the so-called Suldaan of the community there knows that he was told to relocate to jubboyinka and advise the communities accordingly.

By theway, there were two other murder cases of refugees in the last month alone. They were not publicised because it was aana-qabiil.

As far as why the O refugees are coming to Puntland, it is the next place they could escape to when their villagers were burnt. It could have been Malta, or Tagucigalpa if it was close enough.

Ethiopia'dan aad sheegine, the choice is simple: Should we aspire to be the kings of the other Somali's with the borrowed might of Ethiopia (and you know the security guy who gives Faroole orders in Garowe will not be Takle or Kebede in that case, but this mortal Abtigiis will be flying down in person in such case), or should we aspire to be free of Ethiopian colonialism and join the rest of Somali's (who although wronging us are still our brothers whom we can't leave isolated from). The wise heads are opting for the bigger and nobler cause.

Those who could not swallow the injustices and sarcacisms of people like Faroole see the short-term gains of reporting to Arat-kilo palace in Filwuha in Addis and marching from there to terrorise Somaliland, Puntland and even Sheikh Sharif's feeble TFG.

ONLF can never win against Ethiopia. They have the guts and the courage, but they lack strategy and the PR needed to inform the world. Alshabaab inflicted more on Ethiopian army than ONLF could ever have. I think ONLF needs to hault their operations and do think this all over. Perhaps lets start with its name tag. Change it to something more inclusive like the "WSLF" to draw other clans into their ranks. As said again, they have courageous fighters who have endured such hardships, but those young men need further support, so in order to do that they need to create a bridge between the Somali community(not just OGs) to chip in helping their brethrens. How to do tha is to create solid Pr outlets perhaps through the internet or a voice radio exclusive to their struggle. The leaders of the movement need to be more vocal and known for this movement to have any chance.

Another thing that keeps bothering me about the ONLF is they get blamed whenever two clans fight in Somali galbeed. they should always distance and speak out against inter clan warfare and seek the moral high ground. This would win them more supporters. They need to strategize and think through everything.

Now the rules of engagement: well, attack the enemy where it hurts. They need small mobile force capable of penetrating into Ethiopia's main land and conducting secret operations taking out high profile officials in Ethiopian military. This sends a loud and clear messge!!!

The movement also needs to have clear cut of what exactly is their principle; are they pro Somaliwayne, liberation of Ocaden people only, or simply war hungry wolfs just wanting to hunt some Woyanes. Their motives aren't exactly clear to me or many people outside the Og community.

Bottomline, make some noise and think outwardly rather than inwardly to have a chance against the hungry military might of Ethiopia.

We lost Aw Tusbaxle. Qabiil and emotion took Aw Tusbaxle away from us. Aw Tusbaxle was a good man.

SOL lost a good man.

cut the man some slack. I understand; the man deals with likes of Cowke whose state just handed over AT&T folks and then to make matters worse they continue to rub it in his face. Who wouldnt let steam out?

Red Sea, while your overall advice is appreciated I don't believe building a "bridge" in the Somali community is something that ONLF needs to worry about for now. The so called Somali Community need to see the bigger picture and stop focusing on a little things i.e. this clan and that clan, they need to recognize who their real enemy is. If the Somali "community" could make any difference at all we would have seen it in the south. Majority (like you would say) in the Western Somalia are happy with the way things are being handled by the ONLF.
