I found this article interesting, Bosasso at the moment is constructing their mulit-million dollar airport, the first time Puntland has seen such a dedication to infrastructure. It is a long and difficult process and this article proves it. I mean it will take them 20 months to construct there's, almost two years and they have a Federal Gov't backing them and relative peace. I expect Bosasso's to take a bit longer.

Ethiopian News Agency

The construction of an international airport with over 7 mln. US Dollar allocated by the government was well underway in Jigjiga town, capital of the Somali State

Project coordinator, Engineer Million Getachew told Ethiopian News Agency on Monday that the airport being constructed on 53 hectares of land at an area 12-km away from Jijjiga town was expected to be finalized in 20 months.

The coordinator said work on the construction of the airport was launched in May 2005.

He said the construction has created jobs to over 200 people living in the area.

The coordinator said the airport would enable pastoralists in the State to export animal products and generate foreign currency, which would help them improve their livelihood. web page

Hey, be nice to SOMALIPRIDE because he's suffering from what's known as "individual-worship." It is a terrible, unethical practice that protects an "individual" in right or wrong.

You see, SOMALIPRIDE is so pro-Cadde Muuse that he can't even see past the guy's outer facade and terrible leadership skills. According to Cadde, the man of many faces, Boosaaso should've had an international airport a loooong time ago. But, of course, since Jigjiga's airport will take 20 months to build, building the one in Boosaaso will take the remaining lifetime of the 80-year-old General of Puntland. Does that make sense? I didn't think so, because, WTF does Jigjiga have to do with Boosaaso? Back to square one: defend the "individual" in right or wrong.

Just "nod" and pretend that this thread makes sense. Its the best way he can find to "hide" Cadde's failures and disappointing political career.

Cheers!

^^^I heard you bro. I'm kind of new to Somali politics but I'm learning slowly people aren't always as they seem and they all have hidden agenda to promote their individual interest with direct relation of their tribal affiliation.

It's all good though!

In early January 1975, evoking the message of equality, justice, and social progress contained in the Quran, Siad Barre announced a new family law that gave women the right to inheritance on an equal basis with men. Some Somalis believe the law was proof that the SRC wanted to undermine the basic structure of Islamic society. In Mogadishu twenty-three religious leaders protested inside their mosques. They were arrested and charged with acting at the instigation of a foreign power and with violating state security; ten were executed. Most religious leaders, however, kept silent. The government continued to organize training courses for shaykhs in scientific socialism.

and

As a boy, Barre was an orphaned shepherd before joining the Italian colonial police force. He had formal education, but studied hard and attended some military courses in Italy. He became the Vice Commander of Somalia's Army when the country gained independence from Italy in 1960. Barre became an advocate of Soviet style Marxist government after spending time with Soviet officers in joint training exercises in the early 1960s.

I dont know how anyone could still support a man like that and what he did, unless they share the same tribe Yenceri i mean HornAfrik whoops Wind Errr I mean Codetalker! Must only be cause they share the same tribe! :D . I guess dying in exile humiliated is a good enough ending to that era.

Somalipride, psssst, your thread is ridiculously sloppy, dude! I think you should have posted that the article is about an airport being bulit in JIGJIGA (not Bosaaso), then you could've added a postscript, ya know. For example: P.S. Oh, in other news, there is going to be another airport, like it, built in Bosaaso. Or post an artilce about the airport being builit in BOSAASO, if there is any! Is that so hard? Damn it!

And why go on a tirade about a dead dictator? Does everyone in the politics section have unending grevienances? Codetalker is whining about Cadde Muuse, you're crying about Siad Barre, but that's not what the thread is about? Is it?

Oooouc! (Sheh, 2006)

SOMALIPRIDE -

Since you're just posting gibberish that has nothing to do with the thread at hand, I felt like sharing the lyrics from one of my favorite songs by the Southern rapper T.I. (slight modifications for effect):

You might see me on SOL Forums

But nigga you don't know me

When ya holla on the street

Rememba you don't know me

Save all the hatin and the poppin

nigga you don't know me

Quit tellin niggas you my patna

Nigga you don't know me

Don't be recruitin keep it movin

Nigga you don't know me

Hey I ain't trippin but the truth is

Really you don't know me

Ya you know they call me codetalker

But you don't know me

You be hatin and I see why

Cuz you don't know me

Catch the drift? ;) I would hope so.

^LOL. Look at this .... tryna talk smack for no reason. I just pointed out ... that this thread is not about Cadde Muuse or Siad Barre. Of course, like many others on the politics forum, you have pyschedleic pysche that compels you to whine, whinge, and cry foul about how this or that silly somali leader let you down! I guess this is one way for you to channel the emotional outburts of your despondent soul. *****, keep on talking *****, and I'll be forced to **** your mouth with *****. :D

The construction of Bosaso International Airport has stopped since 3 months ago. The construction would had been in two fases. The first fase was the construction of the terminal. Which was in no time completed. The second fase was the construction of the runaway. That the famous real estate giant Bin laden Group would had constructed it and it would be funded by the sheikh of Sharjah. It looked bright but during Cade’s stay here in germany. It come out that the US is blocking the deal. The precise reason behind it is still no known. Atleast to the folks over here I don’t about you folks of the otherside of the water
