  1. One should respect the constitution. On the day that the president was sworn in. He took an oath on the Holy Koran to respect the Constitution. With statements like “the Somali people are not ready for Federalism”, The president shows us not lonely his lack of diplomacy but also his lack of statesmanship If the man who holds the highest office in the country doesn’t care about the set of laws which the Somali elders have decided upon to be used to the rule the country after 21 years of civil war. Who will then respect the law: …… No matter what the opinion makers say: There is always an opportunity to comprise and ofcourse there is room for different interpretations of laws and rules. The president can take advantage of the people’s ignorance on this file and save his face on the case. By taking the lead on Kismayo's dossier Mr Hassan can become the peacemaker, he said that he would be back in September 2012. Because after 25 years of conflict the people don’t need a polarizing figure as a president. There is a need of a person of who can bring various faction together despite their differences Therefore the whole Kismayo dossier can easily be solved by the president. But if he continues on the same path as for now, certain section of the population will ask themselves the question: “Who does he think he is”. Then Somalia will have bigger problems
  2. Most of the footage that been used in this video has been shot by supporters of USC-SNA therefore to call it unbiased is a insult. As for Caydiid (AUN) He was clearly the man of the moment at that time but not the right man to keep the country united and strong.
  3. It’s always back and forth with the people of Baran. After a decade couldn’t reer Baran finally decide where their future belongs? In my honest opinion I don’t see the big difference between the two administrations, which are competing to control this region. I think the time has finally come to let the people take control of their destinies. So let free and fair referendum take place in the region
  4. In 1960 when Somalia gained independence, the country composed of the following eight regions Waqooyi Galbeed – Hargeysa Waqooyi Bari – Burco The above two formed together the former British Somaliland The other six were Mijerentia -> Bari – Bosaso Mudug – Galkacyo Hiiraan – Beledweyne Banadir – Mogadisho Jubba Dhexe – Baydhabo Jubba Hoose – Kismayo
  5. Mr Samatar might have been the highest official in government after the president. But equally lets not forget that he didnt have any political power or influence in the regime. The positioins that he was given at the time within the government were only for political reasons and propaganda. As the regime tried to portary itself as an entity which qabiil had no meaning. Now knowing this fact, no one can claim that Mr Samatar was responsible for what happened in the North. As he was just a billboard for the regime. The responsiblity that can be fingerpointed to him in the tragedy that took place is little as a bookkeeper working for the government at the time. Although I will support the case if there is any evidence which point to that he was the one who gave the orders to what was done to the victims that filed the case against himt then it will be a personal matter. But as it stands now, it is clearly that is not the case. Since none of the witnesses are high ranking officials in the last government. And lastly since clan is everything and everything is clan, in the past and present in Somali society and kwowing the facts above, for the most of Somalis (including me) it seems that Mr Samatar is only being prosecuted because he belong to an outcaste clan, in other words an easy target.
  6. To understand the line of reasoning of Mudane Farax Macalim during his visit to Somaliland hasnt been very difficult. Nobody has to be a rocket sciencist to get his message and it's a clear one. Plus it was brave decision that he took at time but Since this visit wasnt a private one and he's representive of the Kenyan Government. His words and deeds should be in line with the policy of Nairobi. Since Kenya never publicly supported the secessionists, Mr Faraxoow could easily have known that he was messing with fire. As obviously cuqdada was in charge during his stay. Haddaana sxbkeyna ha uu macaanato
  7. What I really find funny about this topic are the persons who accused others of being clannists. But apparently they never took the time to look at the minor. Because this thread is about Sayidka and everyone can agree or disagree with the man in question is a Somali National Hero or not. But to drag C/laahi Yusuf’s name into this thread shows me first how farfetched clannish ideas they have and second that they are the truly clannists who disguise themselves as something they aren’t So Better be straightforward clannists fellas cuz this act isn’t working
  8. The Hypocriets who didn't support Yey yesterday because of his tribe, are supporting maxkamadaha today because of their tribe. So guys We know the story. Stop trying to convince us that you are fighting for the better cause cuz you ain't Every peaceloving nationalist who lives in or out of somalia knows better than supporting one of these two entities. Both of them are alliances of different tribes who want money and power, so smiple is it. Just dont try And my tribe supports the TFG, that means I support the TFG. As a TFG-supporter these last two day , I can tell you guys, it couldnot get better. Life is just so sweet. Eey losers, better luck next time
  9. Seems that SOL politic forum has become a platform where junior somali politicians who support the secession’s camp or the unionst’s camp have taken over the place. On my monthly visits to the forum I accounted approximately 15 topic about Somaliland this month. Where is the world heading folks, Somaliland is far from the getting recognized by the international community and you folks are debating if it like a matter of seconds. Waryaada is dajiya These organizations are somekind of lobby organizations who want to bring certain issues into the attention of the international media or another parties which are interested in Somali affairs. But the problem with these organizations like the most of their kind is that they don’t hardly have anyone who wants to listen to them. A lot of Somali politicians over estimate the real power of these organizations and I think we shoudn’t be wasting our valuable time on these quasi organizations. And if we look at where ICG group enjoys the most support/power, then it must be Europe where their headquarters is stationed. Did the lobby of ICG work on european politicians? The answer is no, Italy is the boss when it comes to Somali affairs and they don’t support the secession’s camp. If Italy doesn’t support Somaliland ,the US doesn’t support Somaliland and the big brother “Ethiopia†doesn’t support Somaliland, than who will. The reasons that all these countries don’t support them is internationally known. I don’t need to repeat them. But unless Somaliland chances its backward policy towards Sool and Eastern Sanaag. An another 15 years without recognition will be heading your way. Matt Byrden summarized extremely good what the backward policy of somaliland is towards Sool and Sanaag: This would permit the eastern Sanaag and Sool regions to opt out of the secession if a majority of the *********** and ******** populations so cast their ballots. However, since the loss of Sool and eastern Sanaag would mean forfeiting the boundaries received by Somaliland at the moment of independence, it would almost certainly disqualify it for admission into the AU, which would jeopardise the likelihood of it being granted international recognition. Airport

The construction of Bosaso International Airport has stopped since 3 months ago. The construction would had been in two fases. The first fase was the construction of the terminal. Which was in no time completed. The second fase was the construction of the runaway. That the famous real estate giant Bin laden Group would had constructed it and it would be funded by the sheikh of Sharjah. It looked bright but during Cade’s stay here in germany. It come out that the US is blocking the deal. The precise reason behind it is still no known. Atleast to the folks over here I don’t about you folks of the otherside of the water
  11. Imperialism is something from the past and America should and must realize. It can’t revive it. And Us somalis will make sure it doesn’t revive.
  12. It had nothing to do with Jaalle Siyaad’s political skills that we lost the soviets. They would had support us till the end. It was the man who thought he was the latin Jozef Stalin. Doqonka Castro who convinced the soviets to support the ethiopians. At first the soviets refused to switch sides but Castro threaten them (you know how those filthy games work) and they finaly gave in and switch sides. If it wasn’t for Filthy Castro Somali Galbeed was a gobol of somalia today. Xataa, Nasiibdaro baa keentey in aan maanta mideysaneen sometimes you need some luck
