i think we all agree this developement is massive blow to embaghati lots survival as we all know in the arab world these two are the major donors to somalia and alot of people were looking at these two states for the vital funding needed to keep the bloated government alive..

indeed this government is looking more and more hopeless and pennyless, alot of people are even questioning whethere this government will ever set foot in somalia

^^^^^I might have missed it; but I can not recalled any Somali website or any other one for that matter, reporting that the Libyan and Egyptian head of states are part and parcel of delegates expected to meet in Khartoum to give extra steam and vigor to this new Somali Transitional Government. Were they scheduled for arrival in the first place? Wixii uurka kuugu jira afkaa kaa xada! Any ways, keep it, always, in mind, the peoples of Egypt and Libya are always in the front row to stand behind a united Somali Republic and will leave no stone unturned in the international forums to see the territorial integrity of Somalia unscratched.

After 14 years of civil war with unspeakable suffering and lawlessness and after the failure of numerous initiatives to come up with an effective nationwide administration, this new government formed in Nairobi, is the best thing that has happened to the Somali people since then. Someone may argue that it has some legal holes and influences of foreign factors, never the less it is a good beginning and each of us must give it at least moral support if not more. Fix it later. Remember it is the Somali Republic that is at stake.

there is no need inaad dhagax ducatid, we all know there are two opposing political foriegn powers that influence somali politics these two political ideologies whose opposition battle has absaloutely nothing to do with somalia will shape and decide if this government will ever survive, the first being ethopia who bought the presidency for abdullahi yusuf and the other side is egypt and other arab states who are fighting for political control of the river Nile, so to put it bluntly a government backed by ethopia will never get the support of any meaningfull arab state and more importantly they wont give them a cent.

while ethopia has no meaningfull financial power to compete with the arab state instead they have the power of "meddling" and warlords who they use as stooges to unsettle politics in somalia.

so withough crying about somali republic and how egypt loves you so much actually my friend they couldnt care less about you are just being used by anyone who has political intrest and who ever stooge agrees to their demands will be your master

Nayruus, war Qurac wuxuu isla waynaynaayo maadan garan :D

Qurac believes that now an Ethiopian-backed president has been picked, the Arab states will fall in line to "recognize" the secessionist attempts of the north :D:D:D:D

Qurac let me just tell you that just as Ethiopia (Somalia's #1 enemy) turned a blind eye to "Somaliland" when the Arab-backed Abdiqasim was president, the Arab states will also turn a blind eye to "Somaliland" during this Ethiopian-backed president's tenure.

The West has and will always ignore Somalia, but the ones that give real financial, diplomatic, and political support to Somalia and our fledgling governments are the Arab and Muslim world. The only difference now will be that maybe Abdulahi Yusuf, if he sticks to Ethiopia, will not do as much international visits or be promised as much money as Abdiqasim had.

Sorry to say, but "Somaliland" does not even enter the equation. Any government that is going to be supported has to be based in Muqdisho ;)

Horn bro.

Djabouti, Sudan, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Oman are all members of the Arab league. All have so far supported the new Somali government.

Ethiopia is one player in this game, its not even the most important as it is a poor state compared to the oil rich gulf states.

Kenya, Eritria, South Africa, Nigeria and other African states with different agendas to that of Ethiopia have also giving theri backing.

China has for the first time stressed its support to a Somali government, the EU, AU, UN and the US have sent encouraging messages of support..

These are the facts Qudac :D

he might be stooge of ethopia but they cant really offer him with any financial help which and he knows it thats why he is running around arab states being shunned by the most important players and he is left with glamorous task of meeting "ardayda somaliyeed" hehehehehe :D
