Nassir why do you feel the need to continuously remind people how relevent you are, its as if you are suffering from an inferiority complex and feel and need to overcompensate? If you were already confident in your rich history why is there a need to be so defensive?
It's not so much an inferiority complex as it an expression of gross ineptitude, the inability to form a unified regional government in Sanaag. Owing to political grievances - real or imagined - some Sanaag residents think that their time is better spent not only by constantly carping at Puntland and, to a lesser extent, Somaliland administrations, but by weaving tales of historical granduer. Despite the comicality and futility this kind of romanticism engenders, I think there is benefit to be had from such airy narratives: political unity. Maakhir State will remain a theoretical construct until the subclans who inhabit that region muster the political will and wherewithal to assemble a regional administration. Until then, some Maakhiris will be loyal Somalilanders, some will be loyal Puntlanders, and the rest will curse at what they view as their pititable fate.
