LOL, this just shows how low expectation somalis have towards each other :D

The back side of my building have such a similar brige(and even some water underneath) which is meant to be used only for the people who walk their dogs so to avoid the traffic which is infront of my building.

If sweden had such a party for everytime a simple bridge like this was buildt then for sure the society would have lost atleast some 90 days a year of some five hundred to thousand people (losing billions of government income.)

Not producing value for the country at all but rather celebrating some simple bridge as if they were the english during the medieval times thinking they actually found the holy grail when worshiping this simple bridge LOL.

He is a Somali-Norwegian engineer who left his job and worked without pay for months.

I have a 2hr video of the construction of the bridge from beginning to about 75% completion. The amount of hardwork is all there to see.

ps import duties were paid on the imported steel even though its officially supposed to be free for construction materials. When we complained to the govnt their response was "give us the money and we will build it" our response was "yeah right" . We had to pay the import duties.

Good to see it completed and it should be good to see it in the summer IA.

One bridge at a time. That's how it should be. I'm just wondering about the road from Berbera that is, allegedly, being destroyed by overloaded trucks bringing goods to Ethiopia. Any plans to fix that or at least put limits on weights that can go on it?

Cara.

Keynan, forget accomplishments, I'd say hambalyo if Somalis didn't kill one another en masse for a day. Talk about low expectations...

Northerner you had a hand in the bridge's construction? Kudos.

Mashallah. It's great to see. The street looks (not to be clicheish) westernish. The lights, the side facade, and the whole look of it.
