Puntland's power is uniting, secessionists, ONLF, Al Shabab Looters

My argument here is quite a simple one, using any indicator one wants it’s a fact that Puntland today is the fastest growing, economically, the most politically mature and stable of what was the republic of Somalia.

The south is engulfed in an orgy of violence, daily the people are introduced to new methods of murder, stoning to death, beheadings and cutting of limbs all recorded on Mobile phones by crazed Mujahids. We have white commanders from Alabama lauding it over the Somali population of the south and foreigners pissing all over the place. The Sharif Hotel government is stuck in Villa Somalia, daydreaming and stealing as much money as they can.

In the secessionists enclave: We have mighty Riyaale still in the helm, no election has taken place and there is none on the horizon, forget recognition even the Egyptian Ambassador told reer Shankaroon to stop fooling themselves, the much celebrated IGAD meeting ended up with nothing not even a promise worthy of mentioning by the Shankaroon press. The SNM old guard is tired, poor and filled with anger as Riyaale’s heavy handedness and looting continues unabated.

Puntland state, while not perfect has been moving in the right direction, the smooth transfer of power and the entrance to the political arena of competent new faces such as , Ilka-Jiir, Farah, Bixi, Jimaale, Dalac has given the state new lease of energy, surely all the hype, anger and mentioning of negative incidents is no more than the recognition of other Somali’s of the power of the state and its importance.

Today you have many groups, secessionists, ONLF vagabonds, Al Shabaab misfits, Sharif Hotel clan lovers all singing in harmony a new tune and its called, “I hate Puntland”, while we tell our brother, “we love you, just copy us, you wont fail”.

In terms of development, Puntland is years ahead with the Oil exploration deal:

Shankaroon has had no suitors and the southerners still hold the argument that there is no oil

TMG Security Company Signs Agreement with Puntland State of Somalia

10 Dec 10, 2009 - 12:49:54 AM

Press Release

Government of Puntland State of Somalia signs agreement with Threat Management Group for the provision of advisory services in security sector

A Kuwait based Security Company is taking on the task of Supporting the Puntland State Government of Somalia, where with the directive of President Abdirahman Mohamed Mohamud [Farole], Puntland will embark on a new effective approach in tackling the Piracy and external security threats that could destabilize, the otherwise stable and secure Puntland State.

According to the Puntland state government, Threat Management Group (TMG) of Agility will Partner with the Government and provide security consulting services and training for the government law enforcement and security forces.

In a statement released on Saturday 5th , December 2009, the Puntland Minister of Interior, Gen. Abdullahi Ahmed Jama, said “We are very pleased to partner with TMG of Agility. The Government has full confidence that TMG’s proven track record and expertise will further strengthen and enhance the ongoing efforts of our Government in continuing to build a safe and secure Puntland whilst also addressing the Piracy Problem.”

Gen. Abdullahi noted that this agreement represents an important step forward for Puntland government's plans to employ the latest counter terrorism, piracy eradication and law enforcement strategies and action plans, in order to sustain and enhance Puntland's existing stability and security.

The minister said "we fully understand that nation re-building is not possible without the active participation of Foreign Direct Investments, and investments will not be forthcoming if we don't address the security issues and concerns more seriously, more professionally and seeking the assistance of tier one industry expertise".

“The new democratically elected Government of Puntland face some daunting challenges but in their first 12 months of Governance have shown stiff resolve and delivered some early results in their commitment to eradicating piracy.’’ said Mark Mitchell, President and Co-founder of TMG.

Mitchell said he is confident that with the additional support of TMG the Government will continue to plan and execute operations and build on a policy of zero tolerance for any group or individuals not willing to adhere to the laws and regulations of the State of Puntland.

Mitchell, along with TMGs Director of International Operations Gerard Righetti, recently spent time in Puntland making a full assessment of the Government Forces and security infrastructure. They also visited Puntland’s major cities, economic zones and main infrastructure like Hospitals, Boassaso Sea Port and Airport. Mitchell stated, “This partnership will continue to build on the success story of Puntland and the additional training delivered to the Puntland Police and Security Forces that TMG will provide will bear fruits and strengthen Puntlands ability to Police and enforce their laws and regulations and make Puntland and Somalia an attractive option for International investment and continued development”.

About Puntland State Government of Somalia.

Puntland State Government of Somalia is state within Federal Republic of Somalia, relatively secure and stable state, consisting of seven of northeastern regions of Somalia (Nugaal, Sool, Sanaag, Karkaar, Mudug, Bari and Ayn).

Since its inception, Puntland State has established itself a reputable name as a stable region in northeastern Somalia with a surface land comprising one-third of Somalia and close to half of the country’s coastline. It is the strategic part of Somalia, being the real Horn of Africa, facing both the Indian Ocean and Gulf of Aden. Approximately 3 million people live and work in Puntland, where there is a functioning constitutional government with security forces and public finance management that is built on a unique homegrown democratic process – all without substantial support from the international community.

Most recently, in January 2009, the State of Puntland held its third peaceful and transparent election followed by a smooth transition and a major shift to a new government where H.E. Abdirahman Mohamed Mohamud (Farole) became Puntland’s third elected President and the outgoing president, H.E. Mohamud Muse Hersi (Adde), democratically stepped down.

About Threat Management Group of Agility.

TMG is a subsidiary of Kuwait based Company Agility. TMG is a security and counter terrorism service provider in the Middle East, Asia and Africa. TMG training and operations personnel have Law Enforcement, Military and Special Forces backgrounds.

Mitchell and TMG Vice President and Co-Founder Steve Giles have built TMG from a small close protection company into an International provider of Security Consultancy and Services to Foreign Governments and Major International corporations.

Does this new lovely relationship as you wouldlike to say have any effect on the ground events? Or it's just a cyber online world :D

I gave Duke too much credit. When faced with sober questions that veer away from his given 'Clan Talking Points' for the day, he heads for the door or quickly changes subjects.

It's OK to disagree but present real facts and debates as to why you feel a certain way on the Somali political equation. You might actually win allies and change some one's point of view.

Having said that, he's better than many in that he's consistent and always comes from the same direction ;)

There would be many more relevent questions about you're emotionally born new political theory, :D but I am afraid you will just keep dancing around for the time passing. So instead, I should forward some of the questions to Tuuje's show, to make an ideal interview with your theory.

And lot of loud questions in its kind can be asked why you prefer to use those above names, though you're intention was not for namecalling. :D

However, to ask you onemore simple question, is this unity good start or bad for the Sol's cyberworld nation including your Pirate Sol armies? Is it alright to conclude that your old theories of unity of the nation is gone and dead now? And what has made you to announce the new threory today, and not before?

Keep it civil while you post or else the truce of the last ceasefire will be demolished right away in here :D

^^^That’s better, now the identification of one as being mentally unstable is not an insult. Lets simplify the argument, shall we what would you term an individual who wanted to blow himself up with as many people as possible? A crazy fake Jihadi would be an appropriate name.

What about if a Somali came to you, told you that he was so special, that he could not bare to live with you and that he was in fact the lost son of the British Queen? Crazy right.

What about a group that wants to liberate a multi clan region, and use their own specific clan name at the detriment of the other clans and thus weaken their struggle against the enemy? A crazy clan rebel group.

No adeer there were no insults there, just the correct diagnoses to the two main competitors to Puntland and crazy cousin across the border.

:D
