Wife's lover moved from hospital to central jail

Sharjah: A lover recuperating in hospital after being stabbed by a jealous husband, was transferred to Sharjah Central Jail last week and will stand trial for adultery, police said.

 

The man's 19-year-old wife was earlier also transferred to jail after treatment at Al Qasimi Hospital. She and her lover were stabbed by the husband after he found them in each other's arms. Both of them will stand trial for adultery.

 

The husband will be charged with premeditated assault, police said, as he had overheard the conversation of the lovers and planned the attack.

 

The couple from Khor Fakkan, who had been married three days earlier, had checked in at a Sharjah hotel for their honeymoon. The woman apparently had told her lover where they would be staying. He too checked into the same hotel in a room on the floor above and came to her room when the husband pretended to go out. The lover is married with children.

 

The husband gave himself up to the police after he left them in bed bleeding profusely. The lover was stabbed several times on his face and chest. His wife was also stabbed many times, police said.
