Syria 2007

Recommended Posts

Maansha Allah. Historic city. I do miss the large shawarmas. I went there for my honeymoon, i always wanted to go somalia but it was not safe so i choose syria. I did find the traffic very annoying with all the honking but rest was wonderful short stay.

^lol@honking. Even when the traffic lights are Red walahi, there's always someone

I remember walking through most of those places, especially Suuq al Xamiidiya. Seriously, if you're a foreigner in that market, the shop owners will hunt you like hungry wolves. As soon as you walk in, you can spot them pointing at you from a distance :D What a place

North great pictures bro, if only mine were as good.

A sarfiis (service :D ) is one of those 9-seater+ buses that roam around the city.

Have you visited Xalab Castle? Mashallah, it was an amazing historic castle

There is a Shiica side of the Mosque. As I was wondering about and trying to check the place out, a Shiica imam beckoned to me and told me to enter a big side door. In there, there were lots of crying people! I have no idea if they cry all the time or it was a special occasion. I legged it out of there as soon as I could.

On we travelled north to Krak De Chaveliars as spectacular Crusader castle.

A view from the top looking west towards Lebanon and the Bekka Valley. The snow capped mountain is actually in Lebanon
