Ethiopia today

Recommended Posts

Looks like the activities are well organized and co-ordinated, but made to look like confusing just to hide the fact that the Amhara radicals coming to their demise at least for a decade.

General Seare Mekonen may have been killed by Amxara or Oromo in their fight since he would be only one capable to reverse any coup. He was highly regarded in the forces more than among Tigray. He is considered a professional and never associated with radicals of any group or ethnic.

General Assaminew who was going to overthrow the Amxara Government because its too close to Oromo Abiy, would have been killed anytime by Agew anyway. He has burned a mother with her Children from the Agew who are fighting for self government from the Amxara kilil.

Who could go for a coup.

Radical Amxara

Derg Mengistu people and other Anti Oromo anti-Tigray from the past (Anti federalists)

This may also be directly connected with Addis Ababa.

The Group that Abiy had threatened that there will be war if you continue with your ways. They had set up parallel government Amxara in Addis Ababa.

This group had organized major demonstration and meeting in Bahir Dar Amxara kilil for Tomorrow Sunday. That could be the trigger.

Amharas are on the ropes. Time to finish them off. Let their Washington lobby cry foul all day.

They have been on the ropes for a long time, but too arrogant and too ignorant to see it. They tried to look bigger than what they really are.

When Tigray came to southern and central Ethiopia, it was all over for the Amxara since Tigray is the origin and main for just about everything Ethiopia is known for:

Xabeshi, Christianity, Islam even Jewish is all centered and started in Tigray. The language Semitic once are all in Tigray, Axum is in Tigray.....

Example:

It did not take any time for Tigray and Somali to work together something the Amxara could not achieve in 100 years.

Haatu

The Amhara have been very arrogant lately. They actually believe ethnic federalism can be replaced with a derg like system. Their time is over and over for good. They need to get used to it. Ethiopia will be balkanized soon anyway.

This is the habashi version of Somalia's centralisation-federation drama. I see it going nowhere.

People are so dumb that once Federalism starts in some corner, its irreversible unless you break up the country.

The Somali can stop Ethiopia from going back to unitarian. The Tigray can stop it. The Afar can stop it. The Somali, the Afar and Tigray in that order are defenders of Federalism. Out of these the Somali has best geography, best access, and fairly armed and trained force.

Geography and Access works against Afar and Tigray to major degree since Eritrea is enemy to both.

Just Puntland is enough in Somalia to stop unitarian state.

Once people in some corner practice and taste self government, its all over for the rest.

All quiet in Ethiopia.

The military and police hunting continues, but without much fanfare.

People are scared. Any small spark can bring the whole house down.

Rumours, gossip, fake news are almost gone for now...people staying away from any remotely political.

Abiy can be dictator if he wants to. The ground is ready.

Amazing, but the Somali is most relaxed from most Ethiopians. There is that Illey confidence of "we are ready for any eventuality"

Amharas are crying genocide while Tigray came out looking like genuine victims.

They are in a way. 2 Generals and one of them the highest in the military. Already temporarily replaced by Oromo.

They had a discussion today on one of their TV channels.

Very calmly discussing whether Ethiopia is worth the Tigray blood and losses. At what loss do we say its enough that this country is not worth the price we pay for it. Amazing and very calm debate.
