They are already politicized since they only target certain communities in terms of arresting and other nonsense. It is why many are leaving the army in droves.  Cidaamadana haday qabil noqdeen nin walba qabilkiisa ayuu racaya.

It can't be that strong if it already broke into clan bases.

I have visited the army   of Somaliland  and they are very strong and well trained one man defecting will not having any affect. Remember the defections around meygaagle back in 2012. And how it didijt have any affect. I can assure you  Somaliland will and can crush the entire pirate army in garowe and can capture garowe it self. Besides ina BIixi  is well trained general his coordination is excellent when going to battle.

It is looking more like the only way to stop the defections is for Somaliland to build a massive wall at the border with the mischievous Pirate enclave.

His strategy is to cleanse the failed from Sanaag and then proceed to the other regions. Mostly being funded by diaspora and businessmen.

Xaajiyoow the Carre issue cannot be wished away by our politicians in Hargeisa. As long as this man is sheltered in Qardho and as long as the Kulmiye government is not doing anything about the mistrust and clan rivalries which is tearing apart Somaliland, our military will continue to suffer such defections until it falls apart. The defections are tiny now but the longer it goes on the bigger their effects will be. This Carre issue if not addressed soon might become an existential threat to Somaliland as it could undermine the foundations of our security.

Muuse should not feel very comfortable in Hargeisa because as history teaches us these problems might reach his front door sooner than he wishes. Remember when Somaliland was on fire, president Siyaad Barre and his henchmen were feeling secure in Mogadishu until the fire reached them suddenly. Problems are best solved when they are small.

Tallaabo I doubt it  Somaliland army is so mature in terms of strength and in terms of discipline  a man who betrayed his country and joined the enemy the pirate enclave should never be appeased. Ofcourse what ever grievances  the bohol community has should be adresssed by the guurti politicians culemaa influential people . And the Somaliland govt should do what ever to keep the fabric of Somaliland nation strong. But since the ceelafweyn conflict was resolved by our elders like we always do  I don't see why there should be any grievances now.  The difference between afweyne and the current regime in Somaliland we elect our leaders  there is the rule of law consensus  ninkaliyaa gooaan  ma gaadhi karo. Wadatashi isxilqaamin  iyo waddajir iyo wax waddalahaanshe baanu ku wadda joogna.
