If it was upto me, i would've outlawed abortion for Somali women. Yes my son has been in there for 4 months now. I didnt' know basic training was that long, most people complete it in 1 month or so. We mostly keep in touch through Emails, and letters and he is really doing just fine. God bless him, he is a hard-worker. Maybe when he gets his trainings he can fly for the future Somali -Air force. I really have high hopes for him.

Women and our dhaqan. There are alot of REALLY good DHAQaN-loving women out there, and i want to first congratulate them. All women who believe in our dhaqan, and who (despite its short-comings) obey it, and follow it religiously. Having said that, i want to know why women are more likely to reject our dhaqan than men are? Of my 9yrs in living in Amerika, women werea all too often critical of our dhaqan.

My brother is married to this women for 5yrs now. They have three boys together, and he beats her when she doesn't listen to him or agree with him. One day i was over at his place, and he was yelling at his wife. And he almost hit her, i asked him why he did that. And he said it was our culture to hit women if they ever disagree with the husband. Is that true? Are you allowed to hit your wife, if she doesn't listen?
