  1. Who is digging the underground for them?LOL My advise to Aweye/IndaCadde would be to give up and surrender to TFG before some enterprising Somali from Mugadishu hands them to other powers outside of Africa. President Abdullahi Yusuf will never hand in arabs he captured let alone Somali. This has been proven in the past with Al Itihad. Ethiopia also has never done what egyptians do daily. Ethiopia handed arab countries their citizens captured with Aweye's Al Ithad.

  3. Originally posted by Ahmed_Guree: Most Ethios hate Somalisknow more than ever as they were drafted into the military to breakdown insurgency in Addis and else where... First of all thats a lie. The somali is actually seen as fair minded and one who speaks his mind. Somalis in the federal government are preferred to solve clan or tribal disagreements in other parts of the country, because the general impression is the Somali is a rebel, but one you can accept his proposals. Isn't the federal system a Somali idea? (1984 its documented) Isn't State regional Governments a Somali Idea, again documented. If the Somali comes to Addis Ababa to keep law and order of Mengistu lovers in the Capital, the Somali is defending what he chose for a system. You cannot have it both ways. On the one hand you accuse the Somali in defending his country and system of federation of his choice, On the other hand you want to tell me the Somali is being pushed to something he didn't want. There is nobody that can push around the somali, if the somali himself is not interested in the system. The Somali was one of the most experienced and organized in 1991, after decades of rebellion against Addis Ababa. There was nobody in ethiopia then that can force the somali to anything. Afar and Tigray were always on the Somali side and they both supported the federal and regional government system proposed by the Somali. You may be one of the unhappy ones with it, but untruths doesn't help even the Shieks in Mugadishu.
  4. Mr. Red Sea, I am glad you seem to have abondoned that "you are more moslem than ethiopians" lecture. Can you name any town or city in South and Central Somaliae where thiopian soldiers entered? The TFG has avoided fighting in populated areas, but where it cannot avoid them, it made sure that it was the Somalia National Forces that did the fighting and entered their own homes. Ethiopia was mostly participating if the TFG has found out that the opposite force is Eritrea, Alqaeda and the likes. Please answer my challenge. Name any town or City captured by Ethiopian National Forces. I hope you don't go to Puntland and Somaliland. The cooperation with Puntland was witnessed and signed by non other than the speaker (I don't know if he is ex speaker or still speaker) of the parliament of Somalia. The same in Bay and Bakool. The same with Somaliland and Somali State joint border security by Militias of both states.
  5. Go fight for Eritrea. They have 1000km border to Ethiopia. They do not allow a mosquito or fly to cross the border. They know what comes. The Somali went to fight Eritreans, because thats the price of living in Federation. Suport each other when foreign invasion comes to take your common land, but everyone manage their affairs at home. Are you denying that all of WSLF resolutions of 1984 have not been fully implemented? There is always going to be some group that is not happy, but we need to learn new culture. Do what you want peacefully. You have seen how an opposition party leader in the ethiopian parliament accused Meles of being pro Somali. Find me a single example of that kind of debate anywhere in black africa?

Amharic is the official language of the federation Somali is the state language of somali stste Tigrigna is state language of Tigray Amharic is also state language of Amara state What is your point?

"Ante, meto amet bitinor shiek tebileh atiteram" Thats in Amharic, which is also the official language of the federation.
  8. Puja, What kind do you want? There are 3-4 threads here on SOL which are direct quotes from Shieks, Media, Sheria court officials, Ordinary citizens. Do you want me to link them all here on this thread or you search Jijiga for topics?
  9. ICU did this to the people of Kismayo, not even for its own use, but for Alqaeda and Eritrea to have base of operation.
  10. Originally posted by Ahmed_Guree: How many times has Meles broken the trust of Tigray? How many Tigray Generals/Colonels has he killed only due to the fact that they opposed Eirtrean invasion? Meles himself is not popular among his kins let alone in Ethiopia. But there is one fact you cannot deny, even while you say untruth knowingly. Meles is most popular in Jijiga (the capital of Somali state), probably more than in Mekelle (the capital of Tigray state). And now Meles will be even more popular in Jijiga, for helping the TFG defeat Aweye, probably the most disliked man in Somali state, ethiopia.
  11. ONLF as we speak is negotiating with Jijiga government how to come home peacefully. Somaliland, Puntland and Bay&Bakool was closed to them and the rest is now complete. Militarily its case closed. I wish they do what members of their leadership did a month ago. Come home and lets build our country together. Thats what they did. One of the CC members of ONLF said the following from Jijiga: (roughly) The somali will not be instrument of Eritrea and destroy his life so the Eritrean dictator can fight against ethiopia using somali.
  12. Originally posted by Caano Geel: ^ you absolute buffoon. The message to ICU was clear. Mind your own business. They said no. Look what they got. Eritrea has 1000km border with ethiopia. 13. Originally posted by Ahmed_Guree: Yahadig, It seems you have poor understanding of the term Sheikh. Sheikh is like a title. Sheikh ul is slam means the leader of the Faithfuls while Sheikhul balad is the cheif or adminstrator. It doesn't make any difference. Shiek in all cases is the village or town folks confidence in an Individual. If a Shiek tells a lie he breaks that trust and confidence. exactly what ICU did.
  14. Originally posted by Centurion: quote: The TFG is now the strongest power in Somalia Incorrect, the strongest power in Somalia today is the Ethiopian Army. My friend. You still don't get it. Ethiopia has one interest now. Its that Somalia cannot be used as a base of operation to our enemies from far. The people of Somalia also have the same interest. They want to rebuild their state, their houses and their lives and live in a peaceful neighborhood. Its the coming of Interests and will of both countries that will bring solution to both. Forget ethiopia. Face and talk to your own brother. Eritrea has 1000km brder with ethiopia. Tell them to go and fight from their country. Its that simple. We will also tell Djibuti to compete with Somalia fairly. Djibuti should not promote war in south somalia so it can keep all of ethiopia's business. Thats not right, its cruel and inhiumaine. The only competiton allowed will be price and business service and not wars and misery of others.
  15. Islamists disappearing in the capital Mohamed Abdi Farah 12/27/2006 (SomaliNet) Here in Mogadishu, it is within hours of mess and disorder, and no one rules the capital right now as the people began to worry about what is next. Once powerful Islamic Courts’ men but just weak seem to be disappearing. It is now the end of eight months rule by the Islamic Courts Union in central and southern Somalia, despite the ICU hardliners vowed to launch hit and run attack in Somalia. The traffic in the city is much smaller than days before, what the ordinary people eager to hear is an immediate change with stability and security but feel more anxiety that the advancing Ethiopian backed interim government forces clash with the remnants of the ICU fighters who retreated to the capital, their last stronghold besides southern port city of Kismayo. Ethiopian forces are now advancing toward Kismayo and it is feared to fall out of hand in the coming hours. Now Mogadishu is the main target of the Ethiopian forces along with the government troops led by some of the former warlords. The powerful forces are coming into two directions heading to the capital in the next hours, notably the capital will be under the control of the government tomorrow, said Mohamed Dhere, a former warlord in northern Jowhar city some 90 km to the capital of Mogadishu. Some of the residents in the capital already began fleeing their home heading to near by regions in southern Somalia. “I would suggest the Islamic Courts officials not to order their fighters to fight inside the capital if they are doing favor for the civilians because we don’t want any more blood shed,” Abdirisak Bakistan, a local teacher in the capital said. “The Islamist officials have still chance to flee and seek refuge in the Arab world if not they should surrender to the interim government. Despite people in Mogadishu now fear of air raids by the Ethiopian forces, Somalia Prime Minister Ali Mohamed Gedi said that there is no intension to bomb the capital. “We don’t absolutely intend to attack Mogadishu but my government is confident that it will be welcomed by the its people in the capital,” said Gedi. “what we are hunting down is the foreign insurgents in Somalia and will crush them until their end, the Islamists made the country base for international terrorists,” The capital is now in anarchy condition amid Islamist soldiers changing their uniform after facing sizable defeat in the clashes with the Ethiopian backed interim government forces in central and southern Somalia. In north Mogadishu, self arranged local militia took the control of the area with the Islamic fighters handed their weapons to their clans to get save and refuge. When I visited the north of the capital just half an hour ago, I could see that the Khat leafy, which was already banned by the Islamists, is being sold publicly. Cinemas also began to open for viewing. All the khat dealers and consumers seem to feel relief. Some are happy to get back to their normal life. “I am very happy that Islamists go away and the government came in because the Islamists made the life difficulty and blocked me to get access for my daily life and feed my children as they banned the sale of Khat leafs,” Amina Haji, one of female khat dealer told SomaliNet. Here Mogadishu, no one knows whereabouts of the leaders of ICU including Sheik Sharif Sheik Ahmed and others. ________________________________ Has IndaCadde the latest fake "Mahdi" gone to Addis Ababa?

If it was upto me Ethiopia would have no say in any Somali area. Kismayo is peaceful the last time checked but do you want me to think life would be better with an Ethio backed govnt full of warlords? But Kismayo is rented by ICU to Alqaeda and Eritrea to be used as a base for their operations. ICU doesn't have any use for Kismayo, military or economic or social at this point. I also do not know which Federal State Kismayo would be in, but I know one fact: Kismayo is being used to house base of operations for Alqaeda and Eritrea.
  18. When children play in some parts of ethiopia, and one of them has told something untrue, the other kids "cruely" tell him the following: "You will not be called Shiek if you live to be a hundred year old" In most cases the child is reduced to tears. Considering the too many to count Fartaag incidents of the ICU shieks, do you think ICU has damaged the confidence people have when they in their villages or towns give the title shiek?

That is exactly what Abdullahi Yusuf has done. He has invited his enemy into his house, and even made him dinner and let him sleep in his bed, while he sleeps on the couch. Sad days indeed. My neighbor, Why do you want to be dishonest with quoting me? Let me repeat to you so you get it clearly. There are countries and groups that do not want us ethiopians to get peace and get out of poverty. If you choose to house them and keep them in the neighborhood to destroy me, don't cry if your house is destroyed with them. Why can't you use your house to have a peaceful neighborhood? Do you know that somalia is in the best position to do so. From Yemen to Sudan to Uganda we all would be gathering for coffee in Bassasso and talk over things, ethiopian coffee, kenya khat for those who want, Yemen rag and the affable somali host. But if you choose to house Isayas in Kismayo when he is afraid in his 1000km border with me in the north, you are inviting me for a fight with him in your house. You ICU brought eritrea. That Jihad and Islam was only being used as a commercial tool. We are thankfull for the people of Somalia that did not allow imposters to damage the name of the Religion. Of course a small damage has been done to the title Shiek that will need work to repair the damage and restore the confidence.
  20. Tahil, Please read this: On the contrary what President Abdullahi Yusuf did long time ago was: Contacted and held discussions with ONLF Contacted and held discussions with WSLF and SDL that are in Jijiga Contacted and held discussions with SPDP the governing party of somali region and the party that has all the federal parlimanet members from somali region Studied and consulted with experts about the ethiopian federal constitution and the place of the somali people in ethiopia in it. He reached a conclusion that the somali in ethiopia have rights and legal means to do what they choose peacefully. He told all of them including ONLF his conclusions. ONLF respects him more than Aweye when it comes to the somali people whereever they are. They don't agree on the conclusions and methods, but the man had the decency to speak with the somali people in ethiopia and understand their current situation from all aspects. All this was done before TFG. There was no surprise when he was elected president. The man in Jijiga knew who Abdullahi Yusuf is. Aweye BTW is the most disliked in Jijiga.
  21. Caamir, If any Somalian has any doubt that Aweye/IndaCadde don't care about greater somalia if it doesn't serve them to get to power, I say read the statment form Sheik Ahmed and Shiek Sherif in Yemen. One article says They recognize current borders with all neighbors. The first thing ICU did was sooth Kenya that ICU is not interested in NFD if Kenya doesn't side with TFG. The fakery is endless. On the contrary what President Abdullahi Yusuf did long time ago was: Contacted and held discussions with ONLF Contacted and held discussions with WSLF and SDL that are in Jijiga Contacted and held discussions with SPDP the governing party of somali region and the party that has all the federal parlimanet members from somali region Studied and consulted with experts about the ethiopian federal constitution and the place of the somali people in ethiopia in it. 22. Originally posted by Taliban: I am concerned about Ethiopian invaders spreading AIDS to Somalis. Its quite a show by the Taliban dressed: Months ago it was "we are super moslems, we will make you good moslems by force" Weeks ago it was "we are the nationalists of greater somalia champions and the Bay Bakool the Gedos the Puntlanders are not" Few days ago it was " We will get help from eritrea and all the world terrorists IndaCadde the new "Mahdi" will lead us to Addis Ababa" whats the latest fake song..... The best option is keep your house I keep my house we live as good neighbors. Is that too much to ask?
  23. Originally posted by xox ogaal: icu will not give up mogdisho and welcome etho They only need to welcome their own government, which they accepted already. As for ethiopia, if ICU wants to die to protect eritrea and terrorists behind the Taliban dressed woman, we will only oblige and deliver what they want. We have no other objective than this: “The only forces we are pursuing are Eritreans[shaibya] who are hiding behind the skirts of Somali women.” PM Meles Zenawi If Aweye/IndaCadde want to protect a pakistani terrorist or eritrean soldier, its their choice.
  24. All those against TFG, If you want to house and use your house to host terrorists and Eritrea that want us ill, be prepared that we will find and destroy them. Don't cry if your house is destroyed along with them. Keep your house and don't host guests that are our enemies and we can live as good neighbors, as friends and i hope soon as brothers, that we are meant to be. This is our objective: “The only forces we are pursuing are Eritreans[shaibya] who are hiding behind the skirts of Somali women.” PM Meles Zenawi You don't like it, then we will get them eritreans out of that Taliban dress they are hiding in.
  25. My Somalian Friends, Don't get worked up. President Abdullahi Yusuf is not one who takes second seat to anyone from what we have seen, but most of all please understand ethiopia's interest genuinly, not ICU lies. This is our interest at this time: “The only forces we are pursuing are Eritreans[shaibya] who are hiding behind the skirts of Somali women.” PM Meles Zenawi I don't see why any somalian would have any problem with that, unless you want to use your house to host somebody who wants to destroy us.
