    Today I....

today im floating on cloud nine...my niece messaged me on facebook and told me i am cool. *floats away*
  3. dude, i'd gladly cook for a group of women...its just with men there's more food to be cooked and more dishes to be washed. *sigh* one can only do so much ...
  4. i used to get so pissed when my dad brought home strays...er men i mean. God the amount of food we had to make and all the dishes that needed to be washed at the end...we(my sisters and i) couldnt even attend salat! walle way iga inkaar gurteen... alhamdulilah there wont be any charity meals for a long time to come.
  5. they should retaliate, since it wouldnt be fair for one woman to take on one man...they should go in groups and then gang rape as many as they can. but seeing how the ba$tards would enjoy it, i'd just go with chopping off their genitals... even islam preaches 'an eye for an eye'.
  6. Originally posted by Hayam: Pucca, you should write a book on guest and host ettiqutte for Somalis So far we have... Expectation from Hosts 1- DON'T ask your guests to do the dishes...however lazy you may feel after stuffing yourself Guest expectations 1-Pileup on the sweets (preferably something your host won't make and rarely eats. this might be abit expensive, but will surely recieve many ouhs and ahhs) i should eh? think anyone would put my valuable lessons to good use? plus there's the whole region issue...the south may have different practices than the north and same goes for east or west..and whereever else. the book would be wasted on somalis... ps. love ramadan beside its total greatness...its the only time my family eats my experiential meals ...their so hungry they have no choice. and i must say hayam dear,i was going to ask for an invite but after reading this ...i've changed my mind. i pray i never get 'so hungry' that i cant press 2 on my phone (pizza nova on speed dial)
  7. ^just buy it dear, why waste time trying to make it? al-aruba has some nice ones... and thank you kindly for inviting me over...i shall bring some chips and pop for the little ones (you do have little ones, right?). Guests never come empty handed...
  8. she needs something to get her spirits up,
  9. ^try on wigs...and see which style looks best. I've had short hair ever since mom gave her first okay (age 16) ...now i've grown tired of it and have let them grow. no more color and no more cutting, for a long time to come.
  10. Originally posted by Canjeex: Pucca, your more then welcome to join us for Iftar at the Khalid bin Walid mosque the mosque in my books is for those who dont have food at home and/or arent able to cook for themselves. Alhamdulilah im not in either category so i shall not be going to khalid for iftar. Thanks for the invite though. aaliyah, so have you made your decision yet?
  11. ^do enjoy dear.. che, a marti being told to do the dishes is a grave sin...subhanallah. My mother would never allow such a thing, and having such manners instilled me i wouldnt want to offend the folks by offering to do their dishes. gj, the salaan doesnt work for folks like pucca...my aunts call and leave me msgs saying "we expect you to spend ramadan with us", even a spare bed is prepared at times. its lovely being a lady.
  12. that reminds me...aaliyah i dont eat dishes containing beef so do make sure there's more fish dishes, salads and fruits. please and thank you.
  13. ^you know you want some too...go ahead and start begging. aaliyah, you should listen to faheema...alot of ajir is to be gained here. just think about it, with every bite waa lagu duceenlaha...and with that kinda duca, armu calafkaga so dagdagaa. Bal kafikir...
  14. loool you sure you want to do that? i might show up just one day and never be heard of again...its another of my rules, often a guest is only a guest once...if they come twice, they're treated like one of the family. Kitchen duty baa lagu siin markaas.
  15. ^im not coming. Aaliyah, huuno lets not talk bout my mom hadee...i assure you she's more than proud of me. But ofcourse, thats totally off topic.
  16. ramadan is a very special month habibti...i can hardly waste time cooking when i could be doing something better, like read quran. now stop being mean and say yes already! che, thats why i'll show up on time...not a minute before afur.
  17. with mother not here for ramadan this year...i've already made plans with just about every edo i have in this city. Im definatly going to enjoy being treated like a guest and all the fancy dishes that shall be made.. say aaliyah, what say i invite myself to your place for iftaar? we can set a date later (i must look to see which day is free)
  18. this mushaari business sounds a tad gross. ah, so you admit that you will gain some eh? na iska aayar baruurta...
