I knew those groups will cause such problem not only in Sool but in the whole region. Somaliland should deal with them as soon as possible. With Atam waving the Alshabab flag in the eastern Sanaag and with this SSC group in Sool, things have to be done sooner not to allow such action to reach other parts of the country.

Somaliland is here to stay adeer. I'm sure some groups will still cry over it but it is about time to join the caravan before it is too late. Yes i will support my Somaliland government at any cost and with that along with other Millions of Somalilanders made the great Somaliland that is existing today.

Nassir, Ethiopia has always been saved by the Christian powers through out the history. Greece saved them from the advancement of Ahmed Gurey, the Soviet Union saved them from Somalia during 1977 and so on. I was not surprised to read that it was America and the other western countries who saved Ethiopia "again" from a civil war. Some reports suggest that even Mingestu did not leave by his own choice but was abducted by CIA agents in Addis and took him by a helicopter to force him leave the country at that crucial moment. Somalia on the contrary has been seen as a threat to the western's interest in the region during Siad Barre's time specially after the war with Ethiopia in 1977/78. The Somali leaders failed to bring a valuable political platform that can convince the International community to support the country and start a new page for a new Somalia at least after the collapse of Siad Barre's government. Instead they turned to be war mongers and each one created his own group killing his own people. Alshabaab is just part of those groups. The only difference is those groups tried every excuse to kill. Clan is used to be the main excuse along with other excuses. Now Alshabab are here to use the Islam for a better excuse to murder civilians and kill their own people.

No one took over Sool & Buuhoodle .... the inhabits are there and they are administering Aaliyah, their territories. There is only one group that wants a bloodshed in the region and nothing is happening coz reer Sool are against any such chaos in their region. Don't worry about Somaliland, it doesn't need anyone's approval to move forward but it is dynamic and the leaders know exactly what to do to win the csse. I respect your personal view about the "Unity" but nothing is worth killing your own people and destroying your own towns.
