(spear headed by Alshabaab ,of course)?

And other than pointing out the proverbial political shoes, which you claimed Sharif's forcing his feet in, are not tailored for him, what alternative do you have given the fact that alshabaab are not interested in talking to a murtad government?

There is no regime change effort in the south. This is a fight over an Isbaaro disguised as a political, or even more laughably a theological, struggle. So obviously, I support neither dumb nor dumber in this pointless conflict.

On having an alternative, alas, that's where I, and many of my countrymen, fall short. We may point fingers at a weak Sharif or a crooked Yey but most of us are without any vision on how to resolve our Nakba. An entire generation (even two) of low-caliber men, so to speak. And we in the Diaspora are merely reduced to armchair politicking and Monday morning quarterbacking. In other words, most of us could be the president of the TFG and would be just as incompetent or crooked and you couldn't tell the difference.

Who knows what the solution is. Probably time. Until then, you can make analogies with Waterloo and even Gettysburg to your heart's content. :D

  2. The TFG remains a puppet regime and a failed enterprise saaxib. No doubt Sharif is in the wrong place at the wrong time no matter how "right" you insist he is. Time will prove one of us (probably me :D ) right.

And strength != tanks, yaa Xiinfaniin.

  3. ^^^^ Only because you asked me to repeat what I said. Sharif (and in fairness, most who came before him) are examples of the Peter Principle.

"He" supports a weak leader? :D Love the third-person reference.

And you do know that being right means nothing awoowe.

You're betting on the wrong horse with Sharif who has no charisma, little vision, and even less power or influence. I admit his "election" in January had good potential but the man is wearing shoes he cannot fill. In fairness, the Somali problem is greater than any one person but Sharif will be another soon-to-be-forgotten footnote in our saga.

Unless, that is, you've gotten off the Sharif caravan in which case, I apologize. :D

  5. ^^^^ The reference to Qardho is just an example. That same water well exists in every region in that wretched country. In other words, your type exist in every region.

And your genuine tears for the money spent by Sharif are amusing to watch. Any idea how much he spent on Sushi or you don't have those numbers?

  6. ^^^^ You wish atheero was making that money, huh? You never seemed to do any math when the real scum were heading the TFG.

You'll be glad to know that atheero is getting a stipend of $338 a month from the Yemeni government. That should cover his senior citizen diapers.

Hence, their endless venom that is in here, indeed.

If it ain't Yey, he must be scum. lol. Sharif is no savior and may even be scum but Yey was the mother of all scum. A real piece of work that geriatric cow dung was.

Must be something in the water in Qardho.

lol. Sheh, here's what you do for a migraine: go for a 5-mile run while pregnant and smoking a joint then take a cold shower.

Naden, stay off SOL. Nothing induces a migraine like reading rubbish.

  8. Somalia's future indeed lies with Puntland. If only Duke would get over that picture of Yey and Hu Jintao.

In appropriate, Shariah compliant ways, Women will have a say and will even receive basic education as a top priority; no more Western cliche of mothers kept in "ignorance", as Islam recognise and optimise their vital role.

They are also the main beneficiaries of authentic Equality (but also progressive Environmental protection and Health systems etc)...

For how long have you suffered this brain damage, son?

  9. God bless Faduma. Such a bright spot in an otherwise dreary landscape.

They are certainly a world away from Fatuma's first school in Kismayo. The Somali port is now the stronghold of the radical Islamic militia, al-Shabaab, where last year a 13-year-old girl was stoned to death in a sports stadium after reporting that she had been raped.

This can't be true. The Shabaab would never do such a thing.

I thought the wholesale invasions, patrolling of seas, stationing of "peacekeeping" troops and the occasional extra-judicial killings by foreign countries already made that abundantly clear?

I admire your enthusiasm for the wildlife, brother, but I don't see how snatching wild deer and pigs with helicopters could shed any more light on that cluster fcuk, formerly known as Somalia.

  11. It's hard to imagine that Afweyne's coup of 1969 would qualify as the best thing to happen to Somalis in the past 40 years. lol.

Perhaps the deer held foreign passports and were being rescued by their adopted country? Or they may have been registered as internally displaced wildlife and their applications for asylum had been approved. Come to think of it, these street-smart deer may have won the Green Card lottery and were being flown to Nairobi to catch a flight to Nashville, Tennessee.

Jokes aside. In a land where human life has so little value, I doubt the deer or any other wildlife have a snowball's chance in hell of becoming newsworthy.

When you're all out of tears, it's hard to weep for the deer.
