  2. Somalia’s president says Ethiopia ‘independent’ to remove troops 18 Nov 18, 2008 - 11:31:58 AM TRIPOLI, Libya Nov 18 (Garowe Online) - Somalia’s interim President Abdullahi Yusuf has said that the Ethiopian government is ‘independent’ in its decision to withdraw its troops from Somalia. During a Tuesday interview with the VOA Somali Service, President Yusuf suggested that the ongoing feud with Prime Minister Nur “Adde” Hassan Hussein has not deteriorated relations with Ethiopian leaders. “Ethiopia has the independent choice to withdraw [from Somalia] if this is in the interests of regional security,” said President Yusuf, who is on an official trip to Tripoli, Libya. The Somali president has reportedly met with Libyan leader Col. Muammar Qadafi at State House in Tripoli, but no information was available following their private meeting. President Yusuf’s comments – which seem to welcome Ethiopian army withdrawal – come on the heels of a widening rift within the Somali transitional government, with Prime Minister Nur Adde leading a government faction. The Somali leader has been attributed to recent comments that there is “no government” in Somalia, after he categorically refused to endorse the Prime Minister’s new Cabinet. READ: PM defiantly appoints new Cabinet Somalia, in the Horn of Africa, has been mired in armed conflict since the early 1990s, with warlord and armed clans vying for power and resources. Ethiopian troops backing Yusuf’s interim government who invaded the country two years ago were immediately bogged down in an Islamist-led rebellion that now controls most of the country’s central and southern regions. The African Union has failed to complete a planned 8,000-strong peacekeeping force, while Islamist hardliners have rejected a UN-brokered peace deal signed last month. Source: Garowe Online
  3. There is difference between capitulation and collaboration. America gives 'assistance' to these nations on the condition that they form centralised security apparatus that is loosely based on America's Homeland Security-this includes some security services, immigrations, customs, border patrol, etc These nations recieve direct 'aid' and training from the US though the in case of Somalia proxies are used such PIS (Puntland Intel Services) and their equilevent in Somaliland whose salaries are directly paid by the U.S. Not only does America have a access to these many mini-homelands operations, they set the policies and conditions with which these entities run on. And in the case of Somalia, Ethiopian military intelligence are used in tandem with the Somalis. And on my occassions, actual American servicemen do land in Somalia via ships on the Indian Ocean, or from Kenya/Jabouti. America violates the sovereignty of many states with impunity with or without their permission. It is hard to believe that they would need collobaration of non-existing state.
  4. That's beside the point, I was just asking if you know their policies towards these nations in relation to the war on terrorism?
  5. ^I see neither happening, but one thing is sure, this is the end of the road for him.
  6. ^I assume you know or atleast aware of the model or the framework for America's war on terror, and what that entails as it regards to the third nations?

  16. After evening out in the city, the girls made it back to their xaafad. They reminisced about the fun that day, and ululated uncontrolably about the many more nights of fun that is to come. The next two semesters would be their last year in high school. They realize this summer could be the last time for them to be their usual self, mischevious and with no care in the world, feel free and not bounded by responbilities, they know they must make good use of their time together as Berlin would be moving to Italy come next summer. She will be attending Università Degli Studi Di Bologna, one of the oldest and prestigious school in Europe. Others will moving on with their lives. Caasha Dhiico will be in the Gurmad, and be sent to the Bariga Fog as part of Barre admin's crusade on illiteracy. Cambara Culusay will be attending Lafoole, studying to be high school teacher. She has uncle from Caabud Waaq who is second in line in the hierarchy of the Barre's socialist party. Thanks to her connections, Cambara will not be subject to the Gurmad. Xalimo Gana Dheer too will be leaving. She is the brighest of the bunch, always strived for the best, intellectually superior, and acedimacaly on top of her class. She is from poor family that lives right on the main Jidka Warshadaha, not far from Miisanka Dhuxusha. Her family lives in a modest jiingad house. The father works for butcher in Suuq Jungal, and the mother works as a maid for the residents in Caymis, a housing project for military families. Her parents try their best to put food on the table, and put their seven kids through school. Unfortunately of cuz their economic disadvantage, they won't able afford collage for kids. And scholarship for Xalimo is out of the question despite her impressive accomplishments. It is usaully the children of those in the socialist party that are unscrupulously awarded with undeserved scholarships.Xalimo with her lack of options will be married of to distance relative, a Sijue man with alot money to spare.Xalimo is relactant party to this arrangement, but she realises this might be a oppurtinity for her, and way to improve her family's living standard. The evening roll on as the girls continue to chit chat, enjoying the moments as soothing breeze from the Indian Ocean whistle through the night..... To be continued
  17. LooooooooooL@ Cara ..wait till the end. Xidago ...Little Borame galaa on the southside of Xamer Cadeey. NGONGE .Glad we have understanding now . Let's not end Rooblleh 's story premutarely.I'm sure you have some knowldge to impart
  18. ^Not ounce of naxariis. Even one disapproves their actions, the least you could do empathize them and appreciate their plight.
  19. NGONGE.You know I must admit I'm little disappointed. I know we agreed for you not be your usual self, but I should have been explicit in informing that only pertained to the politic sections, obviously as it related to Xiin's caravan. You are learned man my friend, and not in the typical sense. Restoring to caricatures is not if I may take page out of Nuune 's book ngongic (both Gs are silent). So in the spirit of learning, let's keep our conversation dialectic. Your conversations are more stimulating when you are not bound by quick fixes for laughs. We interact everyday in the hope of learning something, not just compiling facts, but rather using what we learn to create new knowledge that is pertinent in forming new realities. I know you are not niggardly in your quest to examine things or people since you have very deep rooted ontological mind and epistemological view of things, but not shower with praises, let proceed to examine how a date with this man would go. She is flanked by friends strolling through the narrow streets of the Suuqa Bakaaraha. They are particularly jubilant as the school year has ended, and planning about what to do during the summer. Lost in their own world, the young ladies are hardly paying any attention to people walking towards them, with the five of them spread out over the width of this narrow street, a young man rushed out of alley to just come face to face with the gang. Unable to stop himself, the young man bumped into the girl in the middle. Her name is Berlin,a beautiful creature with the eyes of angel, long silk hair and smooth surface so conducive to the touch, such a beautiful body frame and great smile. Stunned, the young man froze, completely mute and almost in hibernation mode but eyes as open as they could possible be. Somebody has to snap him out of his frozen state,it took sucker bunch from Caasho Dhiico to knock him back to reality. She is the strongest of the bunch,a bulky girl with body that it seems was conditioned to work in the fields, perhaps evolution into tall skinny Xalimo prototype must have stagnated at childhood or is coming her way at snail's pace. Knocked to the ground, the young man regained his composure, just in time for Berlin's friends to blast him with colorful array of insults starting with the usual repertoire reserved for the men of Bantu descent in this predominantly Ethnic Somali culture-War Jereer Yaho wa saqa ah, nacalad baa kugu taal, and the insults flied generously, followed by ridicule, Laa Ilaaha arkan waxuu xiran yahay arka, foolxumo caqli xumo iyo aragti xumo ku darsade. Indhaha udaranaa. Naga jeeso. Through it all, Berlin remained silent, and watched her girls taunt this poor man. Berlin is different from the rest. She was brought by loving parents who taught to respect and be kind to all people regardless of who they are. She is fun loving person, adventurous, and has acute sense of fairness. She stepped in and halted her friends from humiliating this poor soul any farther, and also asked gathering mob of Somali men to dissipate. She kindly said raali ahow to the young man, and told him to be on his way. With tears in eyes, the young man disappeared into the sea of people. To be continued

I don't know about romance, but I have just lewd mind and peccant behavior that predisposes me to violating Holy places.Besides, it seems a nutcracker ruined for me now. Bil-Kis ..Don't know about jeezy, it is nothing more than pungent satire for Aaliyah and Ibti who felt somewhat indignant about Roobleh actions, but yet couldn't wait the finish regardless of the outcome. 22. Somalia: 'There is no government': President Yusuf 15 Nov 15, 2008 - 12:43:39 PM NAIROBI, Kenya Nov 15 (Garowe Online) - Somalia's interim President, Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmed, has told a group of lawmakers that the Horn of Africa country's interim government has collapsed. Speaking on Saturday to Somali MPs at a hotel in Nairobi, Kenya, President Yusuf said he visited the United Kingdom last week for a routine medical checkup and that he is "very healthy." Yusuf remarked that is "unfortunate" that the Somali interim government (TFG) was invited to Nairobi four years after it was first established there. "But the failure came from us," President Yusuf admitted, while referring to a recent conference hosted by the Inter-Governmental Authority on Development (IGAD) whereby Ethiopian and Kenyan leaders criticized the TFG for endless feuds and failing to implement major governance initiatives. He specifically linked the ousting of ex-Mogadishu Mayor Mr. Mohamed "Dheere" Omar to violence that is spiraling out of control in Mogadishu and elsewhere, including rebels seizing several key towns near the capital this month. "My dispute [with the Prime Minister] ever since it was said that they [opposition] be given [the post of] Mogadishu mayor, before that, most of the country was under our control and now you all know how the situation is," the Somali President told the MPs. He cited a recent Islamist incursion into displaced peoples' camps near Mogadishu, asking: "How far is Elasha Biyaha from Mogadishu?" President Yusuf said he asked Prime Minister Nur Adde to form "a government in the interests of the Somali people" before he can approving by signing off on the new Cabinet list. "Today, there is no government in the country [somalia]," he said. The Somali leader urged the MPs in Nairobi to return home. Many MPs remained behind in Kenya following the IGAD conference, where the entire 275-seat parliament was invited. President Yusuf' s strong words come a day after Ethiopian mediators in Addis Ababa failed to bring Yusuf and Nur Adde to common ground. Islamist militia now control vast territory in central and southern Somalia, including towns in the outskirts of Mogadishu and Baidoa, the remaining TFG strongholds. Source: Garowe Online
