Why should any region in Sland be held captive to Hargeisa's whims? If Hargeisa insists on secession but pro-union regions want to stay, with Somalia proper, they should be welcome to Mogadishu.

What kind of Government System for the Somali Democratic Republic
Che -Guevara replied to Gabbal's topic in Politics
Neither man can dictate the actual reality on the ground but this stunt will cause further damage. The next two years is a loss for Somalia. Let's see if HSM will go to Garowe and what he has to sell to Deni -
That will be a pleasant development for Somalis but only if this alliance wants to put this ailing empire to bed for a good. Otherwise, we will be substituting Oromo tyranny for Amhara hegemony. Aferwerki made the mistake of thinking united Ethiopia is good for the region. Let's hope he learns from his mistake. SSC will be part of the regions that will deliberate the changes to the constitution. Bixiye has hastened his demise. If Awdal is formed, no group has monopoly in deciding the fate of the Northerners.

Muse sought political refuge in a man whose citizens are being kidnapped just outside the capital city. Abiy and Muse both lost large swathes of the land they supposedly rule.

“I told the PM of Ethiopia - stop this rhetoric of accessing to the sea, you have access to the sea, just come, let us negotiate. Let us establish technical teams to negotiate on how. But he didn’t want access to the sea, he wanted a land to annex, that is the ultimate aim he has, and that is what he did through this MoU. This is not acceptable. It will never happen, I’m telling you. This is a dream that (will) never become real.”

GXJS folks have no direction. They are hoping to hold together a system that is no longer working for them, a system run by people who think they alone should rule. They should have forced Muse out after the Goojacade debacle.

Next Ethiopian War: Eritrea/Amhara vs Tigray/Abiy
Che -Guevara replied to Che -Guevara's topic in Politics
The level of animosity between Tigray vs Amhara and Eritrea will be hard to overcome. And there's the land dispute between Tigray and Amhara. Aferwerki despises TPLF. A lot has change for better before these groups unite. -
Very much so. They have ethnically cleansed or continue Oromia of Amhara and other ethnic groups. They have displaced many in Addis Ababa. They're in constant fight with all neighbors. And they are displaying Somalis from Sitti with the help of Afars and slowly but steadily expanding into Fafan Zone. Fafan is critical to capturing Awdal. Everything that are doing seems to be in the furtherance of Oromo state.
