Omg, it is unbelievable, the level of incompetent and complacency of this government

Wax aad U Wayn baa khaldan,

It's by design. They took all the money for the army, armed clan militias and disbanded many units including Gorgor and Eritrea trained force. They replaced the army with militias supposedly trained by UAE. In reality, UAE hired mercenaries to give minimal training.

what happens Djibouti?, when Ethiopia collapses.

This is where 90% of their revenue comes from

It will still be the logical place to get goods from Djibouti ports until Amharas shift to Asseb and the Somaligalbeed shift to Berbera and Garacad. Djibouti needs to think about diversifying their economy. Unfortunately, the country is run like family business.

many areas, still it is businesses as usual, and hardly feel what is going on

Somali Galbeed, seems to be sleeping

Somaligalbeed may actually fare better. They only share border with Afars who are not well-armed and Oromos who will literally be fighting almost everyone else.

valid point, Somalis must talk, and close the door for the enemy.

I think HSM is very confused, does not have enough leverage against Ethiopia, Ethiopia on South West and many areas, has leverage, those areas may fall to Shabab, if Ethiopia leaves, and these are facts, and does HSM have any replacement ? ready? we are addressing the core issues, before you do anything, can Somalia get rid off these Ethiopians?

He does have leverage, he just doesn't know how to deploy it.

With its main three States (Tigray, Amhara, and Oromo (less extent) ) on fire, and roadblocks popping up outside of Addis, how does Abiy plan to wriggle out of this inferno? I can not wait for the whole bloody thing to blow up in his spotty face.

This reminds pre-civil war Xamar where the final days were around the corner.

Even if Ethiopians settle their differences, a serious damage has already been done to their sense of identity. Many people no longer see themselves as Ethiopians.

  6. The two things stand out; Government forces extorting the truck drivers and the government's inability to protect  Addis-Djibouti corridor.

Elements of the rebel groups are turning into an organized criminal enterprises, some are so close to Addis in terms  of proximity.

It's likely regional government officials benefit from situation as well.

Jeegaan should stay around even if it’s means to rob votes, as they killed the social contract and trust Somaliland was based on it’s only fair they bury it as well.

Kolay wee dileen, kafantiina ha u tolaan.

The only problem is their staying might lead to civil war and hand more lands to Ethiopia.
