  2. Horta unuka iyo Abwaan miyey ku heshiinaayaan marka hore? Ragg meel ay ku looltamayaan muxuu ka ag qaban mid meel shishe ka yimi?

I was the real ruler of Somalia, Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces of what was former Islamic court union, Field Marshall, and Former guerrilla commander . I am honored by the invitation to be BU class of 2015.Woof! woof! It's about time you guys invited a real terrorist-turned President to join this great Institution. In a further effort to improve myself I have decided to take this challenge! Be warned, however, that I am not here to blow you up or am I here as a secret agent of any terrorist organization.Am here as a student with a eyes on the prize of the Summa-Cum Laude. There will be no one blown up or any of that nonsense here. You can bet your graduation tassels that I'm not here to impress the American State department or any of the secret agencies surrounding these buildings. You may not like much of what I have to say in class, but if you are tolerant Society you will keep up my freedom of Speech. You will remember it though that you once sat next to President of the only failed state in the world; it is an honor if you may ask. Especially after about three years of lifting up that country out of transition state.. This, it goes without saying, that I'm the most successful president of Somalia. You have heard the old saying that those who can - do. Those who can't - becomes terorist. Well I have decided to prove myself that I'm on the good side of history writers; From my days of ICU to the academic corridors of the US. That sounds deliciously successful to me than the feel-good falsehood you read in the papers.Asalm Aleikum and please No tight dresses in class Right on bro.
  4. ^That was a type. I corrected it. Thanks. By the way, you never heard of someone saying hebel imtixaankii wuu saaray or easy imtixaan buu ahaa, waan saaray? I know it's a bit of slang but it's used.

  6. All these are used perhaps in different regions and sound correct, waan ku baasay, waan ka barmoosay, waan ka gudbay. But in the books of ciyaalka xaafada, when someone says, sxb imtixaanka iiga waran? Sxb waan saaray, siday tahaan u saaray, Maasha'alaah. For the 'say-walaahi' crowd, the word in the bold means, I aced it. Not I took out or I got it out as the literal meaning of the words suggests.
  7. ^Oba I wasn't mocking you bro if you took offense to it, my apology. Is this honorary master's degree by the way? I still think Sharif coming to America for education isn't the whole story. I'm sure there are many universities that give plenty of honorary degree each year to dignitaries as they pay a visit to their institutions only to make a speech. Sharif getting invitation out of xamar for educational purpose is fishy to say the least. If he was heading to Qatar or Cairo or Johannesburg for master's degree, perhaps but America?? Is the man cashing in for switching sides to backstab AS in '06? Not that there's anything wrong with being air lifted to a five star hotel while your comrades get droned? What's the whole story Oba?

She's not responsible for the crimes of her warlord father. On the topic, there are couple of them here but the only former Somali leader I enjoyed his presence is the former Prime Minister Cabdirizaaq Xaaji Xuseen. I run to him often at the masjid. He's the most humble leader I've ever seen. Odaga cimrigiisa Alle ha u barakeeyo.
  9. ^Don't be in denial. Somali culture is kicking and alive. It just needs to rid itself of anything that's unislamic
  10. ^What's with the name calling gabar? I thought we're here to exchange ideas? I just pointed out people back home have other priorities. To tackle peace and stability, problems with drugs, rape, murder, stolen properties, just to name a few. Those are on their top list. And yes, there's music played in the country, in the coffee shops, restaurants, TV sets, cars. I agree with you Somali culture needs some reform but I don't know if live music clubing is the direction we need to go.
  11. ^With all that's wrong with Somalis back home, giving heaven to warlordsm, clan institutions, drug, murder and no peace/stability, your major concern is the country has no live club dancing??? Yes, I have heard lots of good things and need lots other improvement but I highly doubt Somalis back home miss live dj club dancing in the wee hours of the night. Did you realize a lot more people get gunned down after fajr prayers.
  12. Mahad Ilaahey fusuqaad ka sheekeynayso Allaa naga saaray. Alloow qalbigeena dib ha u celin hanuunkaaga ka dib.
  13. There must not be important work in Moqdisho when the deputy prime minister is involved in the remodeling the Somali embassy in Italy. Nice work.

May Allah return his vision insha'alaah. Here's a comment on that page if you cared to see the clip. "Without his eyes, he has opened our eyes."
  15. It is both right. To you, they are your ilmo eedo and to them, you are their ilmo abti. In other words, eedada baa dhashay to you balse to them, adiga waxaa ku dhalay abtigood.
  16. Kismaayo was the third largest city before the war and it only grew bigger so I would think it is bigger. Edit: Ciyaal Kismaaayo, can you spot dhagax dheer in that picture.
  17. Muqdisho is slowing coming back but it has a long way to go.
  18. Maya ha is wareerin duqa. Kuwa eedadaa dhashay waxaad isu tihiin ilmo habro, abtigaa kuwiisana waa ilmo daris. Fiiri videogan waad fahmi
  19. Awhile back, I tried both the fruit and the juice and it didn't impress me. I tolerated the juice enough to finish the bottle for couple of days so I didn't have to throw it away.
  20. ^Freedom isn't synonymous with showing off your cawrah to the world. Nothing is like speaking in broken Somali and encouraging others to learn the language. Muqdisho made a good progress. Let the people live in peace.
  21. The world is never black and white. There's nothing as absolute 100% tolerance or intolerance. Laws are made to be broken or bent by the powerful. The so-called European liberals weren't so liberal when it comes to certain issues. The hardcore religious aren't as conservative as they claim to be. Wars have been waged to force other believes onto people. Liberty is not so much liberty, sweet or fair at times. Where does one draw a line? Depends.
  22. She was later identified and arrested and charged with hate crime. “I pushed a Muslim off the train tracks because I hate Hindus and Muslims ever since 2001 when they put down the twin towers I’ve been beating them up,” Menendez told police, according to the district attorney’s office. Sen was from India, but it’s unclear if he was Muslim or Hindu. The 46-year-old lived in Queens and ran a printing shop. He was shoved from an elevated platform on the 7 train line, which connects Manhattan and Queens. Witnesses said a muttering woman rose from her seat on a platform bench and pushed him on the tracks as a train entered the station and then ran off. The two had never met before, authorities said, and witnesses told police they hadn’t interacted on the platform. Police released a sketch and security camera video showing a woman running from the station where Sen was killed. Menendez was arrested by police earlier in the day after a passer-by on a Brooklyn street spotted her and called 911. Police responded, confirmed her identity and took her into custody, where she made statements implicating herself in the crime, police spokesman Paul Browne said. The district attorney said such hateful remarks could not be tolerated. “The defendant is accused of committing what is every subway commuter’s worst nightmare,” said Brown, the district attorney.
