  1. It is good to know that you support secession which fortunately will not happen. After 30 years, Somalia is slowly making progress. After the defeat of Al-Shabaab, the Somali government will get rid of the foreign troops and then the president will have his own Somali security forces. When Farmaajo visited Puntland, he had his own Somali security detail and visited many cities and villages. I believe Somalis are finally seeing the benefits of peace and will continue to make progress. The only warlord just elected is Colonel Bixi who is trying to start war with Puntland, fortunately Puntland is not interested in shedding Somali blood. We, the believers of Somali unity are not hypocrites. far from it, we are following our traditions and diin. Perhaps you do not know that unity is sacred and blessed by Allah.

  3. Ducale are you Haji Xudhuf? You do'nt make any sense unless you are closet secessionst supporter. Salaax is true wadani exposing the evil intentions of secessionists. The article is spot on, the secessionst only agenda is secession and their enemies are functioning Somali federal government and Puntland which proves everyday to the world that Somaliland is not a separate county but is an important member of Somali federal state to be insha'allah.
  4. Galbeedi is correct Somalia is much better off now under Farmaajo/Khayre and we hope for more progress. Leaving aside the romanticized past of the "Kacaanka barakaysan", where will Somalia be today if the civilian democratic rule continued uninterrupted. The tragedy is that Somalia has lost a golden opportunity by allowing incompetent general to lead the country to civil war. What is the cost of opportunity lost? I also differ with Galbeedi that our problems are due mainly to Ethiopia or outside forces. We Somalis destroyed our country and it is up to the Somalis to understand that violence is not a solution, that compromise is not a humiliation that unity is better than disunity and that being patient is a virtue that will bear fruit for future generations.
  5. Waa maqaal xanbaarsan qabiil iyo qurun. Waxan ka codsanayaa Mod inu tirtiro magaca qabiil maqaalkan ku qoran. Ninka Wajaale wuxu cunsurinimo ka gaaray inuu dheho Awdal State qabiilkayga ayaa kaga badan reer Awdal. Wuxu kutilmaamay Borame tuulo. He revealed his motive and therefore his allegations are not believable. The good news is that these writings expose the fact that Somaliland project is based on qabiil, "Qabiilna qaran ma noqdo".
  6. MMA waa runtiis "Nin daad qaaday xumbo cuskay", You can not jail people for their ideas and thoughts. Oodweyne maxaad had iyo jeer u caydaa qabaa'il dhan oo Shiikh iyo Shariif leh. I am surprised you live in London where this kind of racism will not be tolerated from anyone even from holders of high office. Our faith teaches us that insults does not affect the recipient but will surely affect adversely the instigator.
  7. What do you expect keyboard warriors who no stake in who is killed or survived in an unnecessary war by their newest warlord Colonel Bixi. People had hope that Somaliland will keep the peace and will keep making progress. Unfortunately they elected the worst and now the chickens are coming home to roast. They keep reminding the international community that large section of the people in Sool, Sanage, Cayn and even Awdal are against secession.
  8. The problem is not Faisal Cali Waraabe, guulwade Siyaad Barre before and now guulwade secessionist and is a joker like many other waxmarato no one should take him seriously. It is these politicians who want to get employed by an entity whose sole motivation is secession from Somalia which will bring no benefit to their people and indeed to all the Somalis in the North.
  9. A keyboard warrior can boast all he wants, how brave and strong he is behind the computer screen. If you truly believe your own words you will go to the front line and face the death you are calling for your fellow Somalis. The brave is not the one who foolishly fight unnecessarily, it is the one who call for peace when provoked. That is why Puntland should not be provoked to participate in this war. Somaliland project already failed and there is no reason to start animosity betweem Somalis.
  10. I hope there is no fighting among Somalis, it is not necessary. Unfortunately Warlord Colonel Bixi jeegaanta have miscalculated if there is a war. The SNM warlord who committed atrocities in Awdal is now in charge of Somaliland war with Puntland. Silaanyo waged war in Buhoodle was also cruel and unecessary and got nothing for the Somali people in Somaliland. There is nothing to gain as secession dream has died because of the bad leadership of Somaliland and because of the illegitimacy of the cause. Silaanyo's war in Buhoodle and now Colonel Bixi's war in Tukaraq have demonstrated to the world that Somaliand leadership is not interested in peace and therefore not a candidate that can be trusted to be independent from Somalia.
  11. No he owns Hormuud (majority owner since there are many shareholders) and is minority shareholder in the other telecoms.
  12. Yoniz, I stand corrected. You are correct it is Telesom. Holac, Very difficult because few people want to sell it.The going rate for selling shares is double the price of the share and it is not easy. You need to contact each companies share office and wait for people who want to sell shares. We need governments and business to contemplate starting stock exchange so that the locals and the diaspora can invest in local companies.
  13. https://horseedmedia.net/2018/01/12/daah-furay-adeegga-internetka-ee-fiber-optic-oo-markii-ugu-horreysay-laga-hirgelinayo-puntland-sawiro/ You see in the story above Farmaajo & Abdiweli opening a new headquarters for Golis Telecom. I have got from reliable sources that Golis and Somtel in Somaliland (Owned by Salax's folks) few years ago inked an agreement with Oman telecom to connect fiber optic from Oman to Bosaso and Berbera. Both companies secured approval form Federal government. Puntland approved the agreement but Somaliland rejected even though Somtel broadband plan was much better and cheaper than the Djibouti broadband link. Apparently the Djibouti businessman and Somaliland officials benefit from the Djibouti broadband link and did not want any competition. Farmaajo opened this milestone were fiber optic broadband link from Oman was acquired by a private Golis telecom to server the residents from Bosaso to Galkacayo and to Erigavo. Instead of making progress the secessionist keyboard warrior Suldaanka is celebrating the capture of Tukaraq and spilling Somali blood from the comfort of his home in the west. These sister telecom companies Hormud, Somtel and Golis have many Somali shareholders and they return usually 30-50%. This is very good investment.
  14. @Suldaanka said: Diktoore Oodka, Let them bark, because that is all they can do, but this great caravan of ours has a target and no one is going to stop it. It is good to have economic development that will benefit the people, but there is legitimate case to be made against having a military base of UAE when clearly the intention is make us party to the conflict in Yemen which is going badly for Saudi/UAE and will become even worse as time goes by. Its unnecessary to conspire against a Muslim neighbor in which we have deep historical roots. Just because you want to break up Somalia, should not mean to become a party to a an illegitimate war that has killed thousand of civilians in Yemen. The Somali government does have a lot of power but they are wise enough not to use it against Somaliland in the hope of stability, peace and reconciliation. What is needed is cooperation in the areas of peace and development and leave secession issues for the future.
  15. Somalis always rush to dismantle, this is not the time when the nation is in mourning and leaders need support to confront the evil of home grown terrorism. Hold your judgment and wait and see what Farmaajo and Khyre will do next. I believe this time could be a turning point to confront this evil by all Somalis.
  16. Galbeedi writes"This one has the hallmark of an intelligence operation. It is not small bomb organized by amateurs. This is clear a message for Framaajo and the government to back off from their agenda. Wallaahi Billaahi , two days ago when we were debating about regional governments, I was trying to write that new bombings and more killing will follow. in order to intimidate the government. They beat me before I could write, " Galbeedi it is cheap shot to blame others for problems that Somalis planned and executed. This problem of bombing and killing indiscriminately is hallmark of al shabaab who have been doing this evil actions for the past 10 years and openly admit and claim such evil deeds. It happened in all the regions of Somalia. We need to clean our house and persuade the brain washed teens that killing is haram and mass killing is super haram. This is major offensive that requires new action from the federal government in collaboration with the regional governments to rain in shabaab and their enablers everywhere in Somalia. They should target supports in media, business owners, and of course foot soldiers and their leaders. Hopefully Mogadishu residents are fed up and are ready to fight back against these khawarijes.
  17. @Miskiin-Macruuf-Aqiyaar said: I guess riyo beenaadkii ka soo baraarugay, caay iyo aflagaado ma'ahee wax kale ma haayaan. If Waqooyi Galbeed couldn't get aqoonsi in the years of 1995-2012, none will ever come, xataa Xabashada, enemy numero uno of Soomaaliya oo awood leh, don't want to see that. In the mean time hala iska riyoodo until it becomes a nightmare, hala iska caaytamo until la waasho. MMA I will change the last line to "dream until Somalis (Somalia & Somaliand) unite for the love of God and country"
  18. May be Jamal Osman can write a full page explaining his opposition to current Somali leaders, however, the twitter bomb he is throwing is perfected by Trump and leads to real chaos. I think it is Jamal who is out of control. One or two mistakes will not undermine the current Somali government as long as they continue to build the Somali army and police and fight corruption.
  19. No. Saaxiib the curse was the military dictatorship followed by civil war. The is no war in Somalia and regional leaders are meeting in Kismayo peacefully which just few years ago was a battle ground of various militias. May be you are not happy with the progress Somalia has made since then, but the people of Somalia are enjoying the fruits of peace and will be happier once shaabab followers realize that peace is precious and war is hell. For the keyboard warriors enjoy your latte and the dark chocolate brownie cake. The task of rebuilding Somali unity and bring back statehood of Somalia is not not easy and requires patience unlike qurbo joogto who think that Rome can be build in one day.
  20. Kadar oo dibi dhal, Galbeedi is now advocating the destruction of the mother of federalsim Puntland, as Yoniz said it is very easy to destroy quickly then to build. Building and making progress takes time and effort. Fortunately Somalia is way past the destructive face, notwithstanding keyboard warriors sipping their lattes advocating the return of anarchy or the failed dictatorship centralized one city rule of Somalia. Puntland made progress as a self governing state of Somalia before feralism and is making progress as a federal state. Why will Puntlanders be against progress of their region? Federalism is a successful form of government that is practiced in many countries including the United State. It will take some time for Somalis to implement fully the proper federal governing system but we are heading in the right direction. We have seen progress since the federal system was adapted and even when there are problems the solution may be crude but is implemented peacefully. What we have now is collective leadership of all the regions headed by the president and the prime minister and even when there are conflicts, there is mechanism to arrive solution with consensus. We are way past shooting wars of the past for those of you who are hoping for some action. The issue of DP World and the Bosaso port is already done deal, Puntland govt signed the agreement and the Parliament approved it. My understanding is that some residents of old Bosaso near the port are upset because the port expansion requires all nearby houses to be demolished and the owners are not happy with the compensation. They are right to protest to get fair compensation for their property and hopefully they will inshaallah. The problem with Somali anarchist is that they are always unhappy with any system. You don't have any alternative system currently that will work in Somalia. If you do, please tell us and how you will implement it peacefully.
  21. Gooni/Galbeedi The problem is that most of the Somalis idea of federal system is a strong federal government and weak member states and that is wrong. Each entity has its responsibilities and duties but sometimes things may overlap due to some special circumstance. Case in-point when Trump cancelled the Paris agreement, powerful states such CA, NY, Washington forged alliance and promised to adhere to the Paris accord in rebuke to the Trump administration. I thought Galbeedi, the pragmatist will appreciate the political maturity of Somalis. Gooni will always reject federalism even though there is no alternative and even though your candidate Farmaajo is implementing it rather well. As Che said the problem is not federalism or any any other system we choose, it us. At the present time we are in no position to antagonize unnecessarily powerful states in a conflict that has no strategic significance or lasting impact. The federal govt has taken a moral stance and the member states are safeguarding the interest of Somalis and to remain friendly with all Arab countries. Farmaajo and Khyre understand this dilemma and are not rebuking the federal member states.
  22. This is politics 101. The federal govt takes a correct moral decision and states neutral , does not break diplomatic relations with Qatar and allows Qatar airways in its airspace. The federal regions are protecting their economic interest with UAE and Saudi Arabia and I think there is understanding that the federal regions should maintain their economic ties and the federal govt stays neutral and should not antagonize their benefactors.
  23. So what will be the punishment for Somaliland when they did the same thing that you are accusing of the Federal Government. Remember the famous quote of Somalinad politician that "a child born in Addi Ababa is Closer to me than a child born in Mogadishu". People who are all of a sudden emotional about this issue are either qaran dumis, naive or worse qabilist. The good news is that this particular Federal government has saved hundreds of Somalis in India, America, Europe, and Ethiopia jails. As long as this government works for the best interest of Somali people everywhere, they will have the respect and support of average Farah and Xalimo.
  24. Dadka buufiska gooni isu taag kudhacay, waxay lamidyihiin dhaliyarada badda ku rogmatay. Saalax iyo inta "pragmatic ah" waa idinka saxsan yihiin waayo waxay ogaadeen in dadka jecel inay Somalia kala jaraan inay weli derbi madaxa ku qaraacayaan. Instead they should put more energy into Somali unity.
  25. It is definitely a political miscalculation the way it is being handled but it will not have lasting impact simply because the current government is on the right track in raining in on corruption, promoting good government, preparing for the eventual departure of Amisom. The FG, Puntland and Somaliland all committed these reprehensible acts before and nothing happened. May be this act will start discussion about the future of ONLF, it's mission and strategy going forward..
