At a time, when everything seemed so hopeless and difficult, Puntland set out in its constitution to work and spent all their relative wealth and peace in seeking reconcilliation with its neighbours and other parts of what was known as the Republic of Somalia, on how to bring together the warrying parties under one umbrealla and under a one all-inclusive, united, recongised and representative federal government. They could have chosen to 'desert' their fellow brothers, who were engulfed in a political stalemate, which its objective one still cannot tell but they decided instead to be an integral part of Somalia until a federal government was found, i.e. they decided to be autonomous until their brethren in the south mainly Mogadishu were ready to 'progress', move on and leave behind the trivial and embarrassing hostilities and arguments they were engulfed in! With the help of the people of Puntland, they set out to further pacify their already peaceful regions, and to set up a responsible security apparatus made up of dervishes, police and 'asluubta', they managed to bring peace and relative calm to their regions, under one control and political leadership. From there, they went on to help other Somali regions to do the same and establish their own regional administrations, this was in respect of the spirit of 'federalism', which the fathers of Puntland pioneered and saw as the only realistic chance of bringing all Somali regions back once more under one untied political leadership, entity and force. Praise be to Allaah, the glorified, as we've now a federal government and a president-elect and it shows, that the strives and struggle of Puntland for finding a federal and all-inclusive government was not in vain. The speaker of the Parliament of Somalia Shariif Hassan Sheikh Aden once said "Puntland is the birth-mother of the federal republic of Somalia", this was an acknowledgment to Puntland and its people, that they were at the forefront of creating the TFG and still are its prime supporters, facilitators and funder of the Federal Government of Somalia! Don't you know that the Puntland State of Somalia, are the pioneers of the 'federalism' you talked about. No one wanted federalism! Abdiqassim said No, Barre Hiiraale said No, Mogadishu warlords said No and all other factions said No! Only after Puntland conceded to Mogadishu being the capital, they renegotiated the federal system charter of Somalia and it was quite clear that with out federalism, Puntland would not go into further discussions with the rest of the somalis because it's against our interests and constitution! The rest wanted a centerised government, whilst Puntland wanted a decentralized and diffuste government! We're the pioneers of federalism and it was our idea Uchi, so don't act like someone, who is ignorant about this whole issue. I say this Puntland is ready and they will go ahead inshallah. I also remember, when he put a couple of weeks ago a ridiculously idea forward in which he argued, that only one Somali clan benefits only from a united Somalia and that all other clans want to secede from it because the other clans history and heritage are marginalized by a superior legacy of the one clan that benefits from a greater Somalia/united Somalia! He has managed to control it so far but soon his subconscious will bring it out inshallaah! In order to prevent parliament meeting and not approving him, he sent out his clan militia to stop parliamentarians from voting on him if he should be approved or not. The clan militia surrounded the parliament building and soon afterwards in a clash that took less then 2 minutes three of his clan militia were dead! Later on the government agreed to pay compensation of 600 camels and to faciliate medical care to one of the wounded man of Farooles clan militia. The reason being that the militias were not actually in the parliament builiding anymore but outside and they'd actually calmed down, that's when the presidential guards fired on them and therefore the government agreed to pay out compensation for the mistake and unlawful killing, the issue has been resolved now and everything is back to normal. Nearly because one thing is actually missing, that is why Uchi is so upset, his close relative has been sacked and replaced by a new man with British citizenship from London called Cabdi Salaad Cali! That's what Uchi and his close relative, I believe it's his dad cannot digest! Disregard them, their are numerous ones like them here in the UK and I guess is the same with Australia. We have here numerous people stripped of their cabinet posts and banned from the political party whether Labour or Tories, who come out daily to attack their former leaders. Secondly post something unusual, something uncommon and surprising! You might not know this yet or you didn't actually bother to follow events happening in the last couple of years, either you were too busy with 'partying' in a marijuana filled room with a man called 'ludacrious' or you were simply baby-sitting for Birimo (what a comical name) but many things have past you by in a hurry(important stuff) without you even knowing and realising! I have to disagree with most folks on this one. This is a calculated and good tactical move by the government of Somalia and its leader Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmad! I'll tell you, what would have happened if the TFG, as weak as it is now, if they'd took part right now in this so-called conference of reconciliatin mutual recognition of the TFG and the new leaders of Mogadishu! The government is simply buying more time, because they need it. First, they have to see threw the official arms embargo lifting! Then, they have to show the UIC something, that will put them in the pole position in futuristic negotiations as the UIC currently is on top and they would really get, what they would negotiate for because, they hold the keys to Mogadishu. Their demand would be for Yusuf Siyaad Indhacadde, Sheikh Ahmad, Abu Mansuur and Abu Cutayba and their likes to join the ranks of the TFG and demand the former posts of the defeated sacked and defeated warlords or worse demand key cabinet posts and there is no way the government can allow such thing. They want to infiltrate the government and wrack it from within, in order to oppose foreign troops and to become an nuisance to government and parliament! The government needs confidence in order to really negotiate with the UIC and to be in a strong negotiation position. Maybe the UIC will get a little bit 'nervous', when they see the government armed to the teeth with Apache helicopters, tanks and 10000s of foreign troops, who are armed to their teeth and when this army shows their capability and strength and capture strategic locations/areas such as Balidogle and lower shabelle maybe then will the UIC come to its senses and give up demands such as wanting to join the ranks of the government and demanding cabinet postitions, the president simly could/would not afford to give away to people, who he cannot trust!

^You don't know, who he is? El Generale Jaamac Maxamed Qaalib is a veteran and seasoned politician, who is a true nationalist! He headed many cabinet posts during the reign of Siyaad Barre notably, that of Foreign Secretary! He took part in the conference of reconciliation and peace at the Imbaghaati as part of the civil society. This man, has got a special relationship with the folks in Mogadishu especially one subclan that lives in Mogadishu. I remember, when he used to sing praises and would like other Somalis believe, that the fake so-called 'government' of Salbalaar, which Aydid Senior was its President, to be a legitimiate political force in Somalia. He used to say we're the government and all Somalis have to come to Mogadishu, after that we will distribute cabinet titles to whom we want and desire, but first all Somalis have to recongise us {forcefully} to be the governmnet of Somalia. Somalis refused and said without the UN, we will not negotiate with anyone, who declared themselves as the 'government' of Somalia in a dark room over night, without a legitimiate mandate. They invited all Somali factions at that time and some came but they left soon because, they wanted, the talkes to be 'We are the legitimiate government and you're sheep, that must follow us, regardless what we do or say! Somalis said, that's inacceptable let us talk instead as 'equal somali factions, which they refused! Eventually Salbaar was a fiasco, that soon came to realiase the reality on the ground in Mogadishu! He spent most of his life under the wing of Aydid Senior and other USC folks in Somalia! Only recently he switched to civil society.

Reliable reports coming from the central command of the armed forces of the Puntland State of Somalia have confirmed, that some 40+ Somaliland militias with two armoured vehicles have defected to the Puntland State of Somalia. They were welcomed at the 54 army compound just outside the capital city of Garoowe of the Puntland State of Somalia, which is also the central command for the Puntland armed forces. High ranking individuals in the Puntland forces subsequentley took charge of the Somaliland militia, that has defected to the Puntland State of Somalia. Reports confirm, that they've been already integrated into the security apparatus of the Puntland State of Somalia. The militias, that have defected from Somaliland also told central command of the armed forces of Puntland, that a second group of defectees are on their way to Puntland aswell, although their numbers haven't been confirmed. On the other hand reports coming from Laaska also say, that the second group of defectees have been sighted and also welcomed into Puntland controlled areas. Their numbers and strength have still not been confirmed but a spokesman for the army said, that there will be a subsequent press conference tommorrow inshallaah by the person subsequently in charge of this whole affair. The reason for the mass defection of Somaliland armed forces into Puntland is due to mistreatment, lack of care and moral, resources, health and wages the defectees told high ranking Puntland army officials! The majority of the defected soldiers are from Hargeisa, Burca and some pockets from Sool region. This isn't the first time, Somaliland soldiers have given themselves up to Puntland or expressed to join the Puntland Dervishes! Earlier this month two men from Burca district with a vehicle expressed their wish to join the Puntland Dervishes. Subsequently there was a threat coming out from the Somaliland VP, who vowed, that the Puntland State of Somalia will face enormous consequences if they did not return the two soldiers and the vehicle within 24 hours, however Puntland declined and the threat of an outright attack hasn't yet materialised, although several weeks have passed now. It's not the first time Somliland officials declared 'war' and hostilites on Puntland, if certain ultimatums are not met! It was a couple of month ago, when the Somaliland Sports minister vowed to attack Puntland, which again never materiliased! A oppostion politician also made frequent and several threatening comments, which never came true! On the other hand a female politician, who works part-time in the morning as the Foreign minister/secretary of Somaliland and in the afternoon as a midwife, made also a warning and a act of declaration of war and hostilities a couple of years ago, which again never materiliased. So what will the actions be this time around? More threats, that will not be kept again? Or will they realise, their embarrassing situation and give up their dream?
