  1. cowke, you're talking as if puntland has the same power than SL? psychiatric ward must your local residence
  2. loool..the article does not even relate to whatever assumption he is stating there... britain never giving recognition to SL???? loooooool.. where in the article it is mention??? nowhere... and regardless that little village garowe has the potential of being a great protectorat of SL one of these days
  3. Instead of closing your eyes please enlightened us how is the first premise false???please let's not say the first thing that comes into our mind. What i am telling you are just the way things are back in the horn and how politics is conducted. 4.5 was created not only for political purposes but also for clannish purposes. One has to ask itself how is the SL majority block represented in that?? First of all werent they a stand alone block for ever, why had they suddendly put under another umbrealla?? the correct response is that they're put under another umbrella group since the leaders of this block were not present and didnt participate during the creation of 4.5 and TFG... According to a person that have roots in SL and that also have reliable information about TFG is that this classification is subject to revision once SL blocks are more active members of Somalia and step away from secession. However it does not matter because, SL majority block not only know their historical background but so does everyone else and no new political terminology could change that. If you want to know exactly what im talking about just read this article then you will have a better understanding of why I say that 1-SL majority block are not represented in the 4.5 thus; 2-no one in the 4.5 is against the blue flag read this article http://www.somalilandtimes.net/2003/119/11903.shtml
  4. who are the 4.5 blocks of clans that are against the blue flag???? The majority block in SL is not represented in that 4.5 block made by the TFG for political reason. They are not even mention and we're put under another umbrella for political reason by the then TFG since they were not present officially during the political conference. In other word, 1--SL majority block is not represented in 4.5 blocks which means; 2- no blocks of the current 4.5 blocks are against the blue flag thus; 3- your attention seeking ways are just...(cant found a nice way to put it so ill leave it at that) Salamu aleikum
  5. First of all as i posted previously no all people had a chance to register in the first place and if you did your research instead of resulting to insults you will know that even in hargeysa not everyone had to registered since they only allowed two days for a city that had a population close to a million people which consequently brought alot of discord Secondly, not everyone that had a chance to registered went to vote..heck had you chance to see how long the queue were in some places. Thirdly dont forget that arund 60% of the Slder population is under 25 years old and from that you could reasoned how much are those that are less than 17 years old Finally one has to realize that not all ballot boxes were not counted and alot of them were cancelled due to political pressure. Marka dont jump to conclusion before analyzing the situation Salamu aleikum
  6. ^^they were wrong.... The registration list was final and it couldnt be changed after that..thats the reason why so many ppl were angry when they couldnt registered since the election commission only gave two days which was ridiculous...anyhow i wouldnt suggest you not to rely on one newspaper outlet to satisfy your knowledge (other papers are reporting it with the correct number) and if you really want to know the truth go to the source (result given to national election commission)
  7. You see when you say "But im taking most people have now registered" you assume that that people could registered after the registration day was passed but unfortunately is not the case. The number has not increase to 1.6 mil (and i dont know exactly where you get your fictional number) but it still remain at 1.1 mil( as it was stated by the election commission). So your estimation is still wrong so is your assumption. When your doing such calculation dont forget that almost 70% of the SL population is under 25 years old (a larger number of those are under 17), the registration process did not include a large number of the population whether is in hargeysa, gabiley, togdheer, sanaag and sool. Even if you eliminate the population located in those "villages" of eastern sanaag and south-eastern sool minus las canood, your calculation is under estimated. Basically what im trying to tell you is to never assume as well as coming up to fictional numbers (e.g 1.6 mil)
  8. Originally posted by Hales: Exactly its not a democratic process, because it does not allow room for debate for unity, the professor pointed out that he would not be allowed to speak of anything of the sort democratically if he ever left for Hargeisa. During its spree of conquest after the Barre regime collapsed the SNM in turn forcefully conquered Awdal and subjugated the civillian population under their control. As for the Waqooyi regions in 1991 by the time of the referendum of which you could call rather disorganized and hasty it was under a climate of great fear and the population was terrorized to vote in the way they wanted. So there was no freedom there. Lastly even if the people of waqooyi galbeed do want to seccede Somaliland should not be allowed to annex or hold on to regions whose populace overwhelmingly are against secceding from Somalia. Im talking about regions which were part of the former British Somaliland such as the SSC and cities such as Garowe perhaps if their is a Somali Republic it should continue Puntlands foreign policy which is to delegitimize Somaliland idea of seccession, it should exploit these clear gaps and do its utmost to stop allowing the Hargeisan Administration to taking and holding to these regions until seccession. There are 1.1 Million eligible voters, meaning these numbers are of age to vote. So i would estimate include the rest of the population, the total population running at 2.7Million (including adults who wont vote) rather than the 3.5 Million which are the figures. Actually its only 1.1 millions people that were registered. AS it seems that you were misinformed that the fact during the registration process alot of people in different regions couldnt registered due to technical issue which some folks saw it as being politically maneuvered. For example in hargeysa, if you go back and researched it in the news what happen back then, alot of people couldn't regitered since the office closed earlier and the registration only went on for couple of days, which consequently created alot of resentment and anger from the population. Therefore the number that we have is grossly sub-numbered to the number of eligible voters. I hope that helps in your delusional estimation.
  9. Cowke, In your little fantasy world, one has to realize that if the south stabilize, get their act together and refuse to give in to SL independence request, how will the world see, whoever is sitting in mogadisho, a leader who can't even step in some part of "his country"? A leader in mogadisu cant step in hargeysa as a self proclaimed leader of SLder. Now if you're saying that: A- the south is bigger than the Sl; yes and B- the south has more population than Sl; yes but not that much therefore we will do whatever we want to them, then my friend thats where you're gravely mistaken. The SNA, who had more power and more military capabilities than what Somalia has right now were thrown out of the region and yet here you are indulging yourself as a hard-headed kid who never learn his history lesson. Military wise the south and the north are practically on the same length (where did you got that fictional 4000 soldiers of SL by the way?) &(im not speaking right now where its SL that has the upper hand but rather im speaking in the future with a stable somalia)and yet here you are thinking that you could do the same thing that your uncle (AUN) failed miserably to do. At the end of the day, the same way that eritrea achieve their independence that SL will achieve theirs but whats different this time for SL is that both regions (north and south) are almost equally the same when it comes to population wise and military capabilities. Aniga i wouldnt be surprise that garowe will be siege if war starts
  10. General dhuffle talking non-sense. "singing for siyad bare" kulaha? loool.. yeah northerners sang goodbyes to him on his way to NIGERIA. SNM and SSDF are in two different league sxb
  11. Cowke your link that you're stating that SL has an army consist of 7000 is pure rubish. I dare you to quote that number from a reliable source instead of you just posting a link that has nothing to do with what your trying to imply. That number is purely a product of your envy. This only shows your cuqdadniimo...kulaha 7000? in which world http://rds.homeoffice.gov.uk/rds/pdfs07/somalia-150107.doc P.S. stop comparing puntland with SL since we're not on the same level in terms of populations and development. And please lets not go into military might because i really doubt that Pl army is anything close to 5000.
  12. cowke what numerical advantage that puntland has over SNM clan, as you put it? 1-fact is that population density in that "clan enclave" is higher than all other region of somali deegan..hargeysa city could be more populatous than all of puntland and thats the reality on the ground (look at the CIA factbook) 2-these clans representation done in 2004 were done to bring that "enclave members" on the table of discussion so they could seek a better representation but to no avail they didnt fail for that trap. They just dont want nothing to do with this waleenweyn notion 3-i see alot of folks in here talking about riyaale fiasco in Las Canood in 2003 as a proof that PL could take on SL. to them i say unbelievable to believe that PL could take on a military that took SNA from the whole North single handely. the matter of fact is that riyaale was new to the presidency and couldnt engage himself to a war without solifiying his seat in hargeysa. once that was done, you see the result in 2007. also for those that believe that "clan enclave" members cant take LA on their own, i will suggest you to revise what happen during the tribal wars in 1990s with the SNA out of the question. it just happen that this "clan enclave" members believe in a peaceful approach rather than a brutal one but when push comes to shove, the reality could be deathly. So to cowke and all of those that believe those non-senses, i will strongly suggest you to seek reality on the ground. As salamu aleikum
  13. is funny when the truth is right there in front of ur face and yet ppl are blinded by cuuqdaad... look at the scale measure and u could tell that the order of somalia cities is correct...JUST LOOK and dont hate..
  14. this makes me wonder if the capital of "makhiir state" is mombassa, kenya
  15. damn puntland in a state of chaos... so much for their dreams of making garowe the capital of somalia
