Sheikh Shariif Chooses Somaliland Talks Delegates
General Duke replied to Somalia's topic in Politics
Carafat & XX, its good that your true colors have emerged. Now we can have a meaningful discussion. There is only one recognized Somalia government and it was the one which spoke for all of us in London while Siilanyu sat silently at the back. This government is putting in place the ending of the transition, after August insha Allah we will have a proper government for Somalia. Now for the talks, no matter how grandoise or how important you make it, will be based on regions and fairness. The regions the secessionist claim to be breaking up from Somalia are the ones on the table. Somalia will not allow its people to be subjugated by some silly idea such as the recreation of British Somaliland. Thus the talks will be based on the reality on the ground. The reality is SOOL, SANAAG and AWAL dont want to break away from Somalia. The two regions out of 18 that want to break away, will be talked to and the unique circumstances that effect them will be taken into consideration... -

Secessionists have no option but to talk. For 21 years they pretended they could not, would not and look at them now? The fact remains, these talks will be based on the 18 regions as enshrined in the constitution of Somalia. SOOL, SANAAG, CAYN, AWDAL population will have as much right as those in WAQOYE GALBEED & TOGHDHEER to self determination and decide what they want..Simple really. -

General Duke replied to Shinbir Majabe's topic in Politics
The fact that Puntland top ministers who hail from the regions the SNM are trying to attack says everything, I doubt the TFG interior Minster will even entertain such things. Gen Ilkajiir is no pushover and a deep unionist at heart. Again one is quite confident that NW Somalia and its people will be brought back to the union. -

Saalax;818580 wrote: Talks are just talks and if they don't agree on anything back to square one. Both the president of Somaliland and president of Somalia know that. At this stage what is important is that the Somali's are talking, face to face. What will come out only Allah SWT knows. As a unionist we are happy at the stage we are at, secessionist have been forced by reality to accept Somalia unity...

^^^^^ Puntland is a central pillar of Somalia. Somaliland has always been part of Somalia regardless of the fiction the secessionist spew. Today is great there will be talks amongst Somali's about unifying Somalia politically once again. Now that's great..

At a depth of 2015 meters, a thick section of tight limestone and shales was encountered and extended to the present depth of 2703 meters. This is believed to correspond to the Upper Cretaceous Gumburo Formation. The forward plan on the well will be to drill ahead to the originally planned depth of 3800 meters to evaluate the primary and secondary reservoir targets in the Lower Cretaceous and Jurassic intervals equivalent to the main productive section seen in the analogous fields in Yemen. A testing program including the zones of interest seen to date and any deeper potential pay zones identified will be agreed with partners at that time. Upon completion of this well, Range plans to move the rig to the Shabeel North location on which construction is nearing completion. Horn’s president and chief executive, David Grellman, said: “We are encouraged by the results to date and pleased that we have confirmed the presence of an active petroleum system in the Dharoor Valley. We look forward drilling ahead into the primary objectives of the well and hope to confirm the shallow prospective zones by testing in the near future.” http://www.smallcapnews.co.uk/2012/04/range-resources-and-red-emperor-keep-investors-waiting-on-puntland-well/

he sands at approximately 1,660 metres depth exhibited both oil and gas shows and analysis indicated a potential pay zone of between 12 and 20 metres in the section. The section is dominated by upper cretaceous sands and shales of the tisje/jesomma formations. The joint operators said that attempts to sample formation fluids using a wireline tester were not successful and so the zone will require cased hole testing to confirm whether it is oil bearing. Horn Petroleum, the partner carrying out the drilling, said it plans to continue drilling to a depth of 3,800 metres to evaluate the primary and secondary reservoir targets. Red Emperor managing director Greg Bandy commented: "We are very pleased with the progress of the drilling programme and the results seen to date. "Confirming an active petroleum system is particularly significant, especially given that we are yet to reach the primary objectives of the well. We look forward to updating the market as we get closer to target depth." Range holds a 20% working interest in the Puntland licences that encompass the Dharoor and Nugaal valleys, while Canadian company Africa Oil holds a 45% interest through its shareholding in Horn Petroleum. Red Emperor owns 20%. Range also announced that its initial 21-well program in Trinidad continues to make significant progress, with three of the rigs now fully operational. http://www.iii.co.uk/articles/31945/range-and-red-emperor-unveil-initial-results-shabeel-well

Adeer it's no boast. We already know Somalia has changed because of this oil exploration. The day we get the reasl proven quantities out all Somali's will say they have a link to Puntland.
