  1. The Siilanyu Gaboose trail is a logistical system that runs from NW Somalia (Somaliland) to the Somali State of Ethiopia (******) The system provides support, in the form of manpower transportation and materiel, to The ****** National Liberation Front (ONLF) Jabhadda Wadaniga Xoreynta ********ya, JWXO), a separatist rebel group fighting to make the region of ****** in eastern Ethiopia an independent state. ONLF, established in 1984, demands for the autonomy of this region, and claimed responsibility for several attacks since the beginning of 2007 aimed at Ethiopian forces in the area, which the government considers a region under the new federal system. The area of the ****** region stretches at least about 400 thousand square kilometers. There live nearly eight million people, mainly Muslims. The trail is not a single route, but rather a complex maze of truck routes, paths for foot soldiers , and port landing facilities . The name, taken from combining the names of the president of “Somaliland” Ahmed Mohamed Mahamoud "Silanyo" & his interior Minister Dr Gaboose, the name is of Puntland in origin and first coined by Gen Duke. Although the trail is mostly in the Awdal region, the name is used to mock and signify the daring nature of the ONLF operations in establishing a strategic Supply Route in the very heart of a region claimed by the hostile secessionist enclave in NW Somalia. According to many Somali analyst and historians , the establishment of the Siilanyu Gaboose trail officialy is "one of the great achievements of the ONLF in its war of independence” and brings in to question the viability of the secessionist enclave or "Somaliland".
  2. 15. The security situation in “Puntland” has generally become more volatile for several reasons, including inter-clan disputes and continuing targeted assassinations of government officials. Further exacerbating the situation was the increased activity of a clan militia located in the foothills of the Golis mountain range, believed to have close connections to Al-Shabaab. On 23 July, that militia attacked five villages and a military checkpoint along the main road between Boosaaso and Garoowe, which triggered fierce clashes with “Puntland” forces. Thus Nassir posts a thread that completely rubishes his stance towards Attam. 1. That he has close connection to Al Shabaab, as any agent would. 2. That his militia attacked the state.. Good, and this came out before the ONLF brilliantly exposed the Somaliland myth.
  3. Originally posted by Qudhac: like i said defeated boy maybe sunday lol. Yet you responded already. Ah secessionist the new logistical refuling route for the ONLF. The ONLF made monkeys out of you..
  4. Originally posted by Qudhac: duke its beneath me to give the time to defeated lot whom i have routed long time ago.... Yeah after all you are Anglo Saxon Somali & Orphan of the living Queen of England? Your Navy was out training Nato sailors while those pesky ONLF fighters were landing in Zaylac, right?
  5. AUN...This contradicts the lie of 124 dead and so on..Keep us posted
  6. Originally posted by Beer-Gaal: The Whole fuss was abt Horn Relief ? No doubt , as you can see from my earlier posts I disagree with Al Shabaab on this, but could not get passed the hypocracy of an Attam supporter calling Al Shabaab spokesperson names. As you were adeer...
  7. ^^^lol. I dont like it when you lose your cool old man you look funny. Kind of like Siilanyu with the Goatee
  8. ^^^As you were then adeer..Dont complain now that, Al Shabaab who are the overlords of the clown Attam have closed down Horn Relief..
  9. ^^^NGOONGE Iley is the new handler of Hargaysa so be careful what you say about him... I mean even your Cheif of Staff admited that he needs the Ethiopian troops, who take orders from the governor.
  10. ONLF seems to thinks its wise to have war on three directions ethopia/somaliland/puntland (not very wise at all)... Qudac adeer, do you like waffling? ONLF are a movement at war with Ethiopia, there is no issues or war with the Somali State of Puntland. Nor with the secessionist enclave of NW Somalia which is just a logistical, route and a rest stop for its fighters. lets not exaggerate lad.
  11. ^^^lol my bad so yu did not agree with the Al Shabaab agent Attam's agenda?
  12. ^^^This news has caught fire over the last few days. The information coming in is no surprise to most analysts of Somali affairs it’s just the secessionist have been exposed and thus far unable to respond. Aside from Qudac who was claiming that Hargaysa was going to train Nato forces in how to handle the issue of Piracy. The rest have come down o Earth..
  13. i'm sorry to so called sheikh Ali dheere is beenlow aan ilaah aqoon !! Yeah remmeber when he claimed Attam was not Al Shabaab agent after his defeat? He was telling the truth then huh?
  14. The brilliant landing of the ONLF has captured the imagination. The fact that they chose Awdal, and gained support from the locals also hints at a deeper shift within that region and a move away from the single clan secessionist agenda of Hargaysa. Without Ethiopian support the secessionist are stuck in limbo. Also the fact that Abdi Iley according to reliable sources will now be coordinating all security activities does not bode well for the Hargaysa Junta’s clan ego.
  15. ^^^Nassir adeer are you an Attam supporter this morning? We have moved on saxib, you are still stuck on Galgalanews.com time.
  16. This is a stunning turn of events. The ONLF landing has exposed the weakness of the security apparatus in the secessionists enclave. Of course this was not helped by the fact that the Mugger Riiyaale looted Villa Morgan before he left. Now everything makes sense, even Siilanyu’s cries for money from the business community is valid knowing what we know now. The secessionists are in a very bad shape. The Ethiopians will use this to fill the gaps and that’s why the Governor General of the Somali State is now running the show and from now on the Hargaysa Junta will have to call him at any emergency so he could send his forces. From now on it will be the case of when two Elephants ONLF & Abdi Ileys fight the grass [secessionist] will get trodden on.
  17. ^^^Two full months and he is still liberating Galgala village? Keep us updated..
  18. Timur I won't waste our time in preaching to the converted. It seems you don't even know what Al Shabaab are let alone the problem that faces Somalia. I thoroughly enjoyed your last comment and only a 14 year old would support a group that can not take o er Guriceel yet make threats to invade Alaska.
  19. ^^^I am a fast learner alhamdulilah however Sharif Hotel can not learn leadership in 9 months.
  20. ^^^Unfortunately my understanding of the politics & history of Somalia is far better than folk Music and poetry, in that area I lack a great deal.
  21. You are either very young or too naive saxib. Al Shabaab can never bring long term stability to Somalia its anathema to their political ideology which is to use this nation of ours as a spring board to reach a greater goal. Who will bring this change? The answer to that question is simple, The new generation of Somali's will bring this change. Don’t underestimate the power of dreams. The Somali’s everywhere are united in their poverty, in their collective experience of the war and in wanting a better life. Those like me who grew up without ever going to a Somali school, and yet know Somali history, follow its politics, and have a deep attachment to it are proof of the coming change. Now on a personal note I have not decided on my role nor do I suffer from a Messiah complex. It will take a political movement, with a new political machine led by a new type of Somali. Contribution to this movement will have to come from both those who live in the rich Diaspora as well as those who are still back home. However the ludicrous Al Shabaab and their silly pantomime dressing and “divenly” led edicts are not the solution but a major problem.
  22. ^^^Niina, in all honesty all these men are fools. What matters to me are not these men, its secure Somali entities? Somaliland, Puntland, and the central regions whose communities are now starting to have serious dialogue about the creation of security and administration for their regions, Galmudug, Ahlu Sunna, Ximan & Xeebaha, Hiiraan etc. It’s the start and will no doubt lead to empowering whole groups and securing those areas for our people. Al Shabaab, Warlords, Ethiopia, Eritrea and the real enemy the NGO’s find it easy in division, in friction in sub clan. The aim should be to limit this friction and to give our children a chance. Chasing a few $$$ at the expense of our future.
  23. It is not a conspiracy to note that AL Shabaab is an entity that is controlled by special interest who's objective is incompatible with the Somali peoples goal of reclaiming their nation. The alternative is simple, the creation in fact the rise of a new generation of Somali leadership, from every region and from both genders to strive in the coveted goal of restoration. It will not be easy, but the children of the war are now adults, living in communities scattered across the globe. While far apart they yearn as you can clearly see on this forum and on others for a better tomorrow for the Somali people. Thus the solution is in front of us and with time it will take shape.
