  1. stop with the ****** jokes hunguri. Your anti-somailand cries are bit tiring
  2. lol you anti-somaliland bunch sure love to spin things. If this article is true, it does nothing more but keep the status quo that both UK and Ethiopia have been doing. For Ethiopia it is to have strong ties with somaliland in very aspect short from diplomatic recgonization due to the issue of being seen by the AU and called by the TFG as nation wishing to destory i dreamed return of Somalia. Ethiopia is playing it safe by stating that it would be the second nation to recgonizes somaliland. UK a former power of Somaliland is playing safe, they would by now recgonize it but the calls of Somalia saying it is taking control again of its former area hinders UK from supporting it as nation. So thus what Tony only stated is that the issue should be solved by somaliland and TFG. TFG knows the UK postion clearly that they oppose any force on their part. So when ever TFG gets their act together they will sit down and both nation will leave the union in a peaceful terms God willing
  3. She be a good leader for next year somaliland elections
  4. Been there my mother side is from their religous good people.
  5. Have fun trip to Burao Jacaylbaro! Know let me asnwer TheSomaliEconomist and Djib-Somali ok lol. First with Djib-Somali from your writings and views you are a unionst if i am not wrong correct, and from your answer to my question about Djibuti joining Somalia, your answer was mmm how should i saw it very weak. First you claim and i quote from you "Djibouti is mainly an Afar Territory as up to two-third of the country is their ancestral land". I know anyone with the internet can google and find out the ethnic make up and the number you came up with makes no sense at at the fact is the somali population is much bigger the afar's. According to the CIA country fact book "Somali 60%, Afar 35%, other 5% (includes French, Arab, Ethiopian, and Italian") So your claim that cause the Afar population is big Djiubuti cant join in union with Somalia is weak. Have a referundum on union and see what comes up old boy. For a Unionst fellow your lack to push for your area to join Somalia while pointing to others to join Somalia looks like double standard. Lastly you never answered my question of the political developments in your nation. Do you have fair elections and are the other political parties fairly represented and treated. Know for TheSomaliEconomist, i did not have confussion undestanding your point of view, it was the way you stated it that made no sense, and i must say your claim that it was from a " 'secessionists point-of view" is really an opinion and not point of view because i have never heard secessionist claim to have that same view point as yourself. Know to the claims you made that "Xamar has far more economic potential than Hargeisa" I too can claim that Hargeisa as great economic potential to equal Xamar. Being Capital city all and well is good, but if Somaliland is given indepences Haregesia will get the wealth of from being capital. While The Mogadishu international airport was previously the only well-known in the country, things have changed Somaliland which had no international airport by the old Somalia system know has one which is well known in East African region, and with basic furthering of reconstruction can boom. The presence of the governmental and diplomatic offices & headquarters allready exists in Somaliland, IE U.N. E.U. offices and such, if Somalia gets that it is all well and good, but dont assume old boy that they well leave their offices in somaliland. And like i stated before dont assume what the world thinks of the issue between Somalia and Somaliland the way we do. They do what is in thier best interest and i highly doubt they shut the door of what they have in both nations. Inhabitants: the commercial value of the increased population in the city (which I would predict would increase in a post-war rebuilt scenario) would create a more favourable and vigorous business market. -That is true but remeber that if reconstrution money is given to all that that population boom will also happen in Somaliland with people flocking in to do bussiness. Both Somalia and Somalialnd are growing and developing, I hope Somalia becomes strong and wealthy and i also for Somaliland, but the claim by others that this factor is why somaliland should not leave or that is all assumption, given that we have not crossed that road and the belife in the somali mind i think both groups can surive and grow without being forced into a union.
  6. The funny thing is the stanard of living between Djubuti and Somaliland is the same expect for the case that one is recongized and the other is not, it shows the wealth of the Port for Djubuti is not going down to its people.
  7. Dji-Somali, i must ask you this question. Do you think Djubuit should join and me part of Somalia? Second is how the political and social case of your nation, are there free rights for everyone, are their free speech and movement in Djubuti? Answer me these question and i will further debate you. For TheSomaliEconomist, i must say for Economist you really dont make sense for a Unionist. In this TFG format is it not it to be a federal system were each region will develop and build so IE Hargesia if it joined would get large sum of development money to improve and build on its infursturer like other region IE Puntland and so forth. The way you make it sound is of Centeral system like before were no region would have development but Mogadishu, so please make up your mind is a the TFG Centeral system or is it a Federal lol.
  8. Before they come to Somalia i want all dog lovers in Somalia to hide their dogs lool Dog's dinners prove popular in Nigeria By Senan Murray BBC News website, Abuja Dogs are scarce in Abuja because many now eat dog meat openly The famous reverse news headline "Man bites dog!" is old news to some restaurants in Nigeria's capital, Abuja. "Welcome to animal kingdom where man pikin dey show dog pepper," says Chibuzo Eze in Pidgin English, meaning: Welcome to place where the son of man is giving dogs a hard time. Mr Eze then hungrily gets back to tugging his chunk of dog meat. He is standing under a mango tree in "South Africa", the name of an open-air restaurant hidden behind the living quarters of a Western construction firm in Abuja. "It is called South Africa because behind those high walls you'll find rich Europeans and outside here is Soweto, where we, ordinary masses, struggle with dog meat," Mr Eze explains with a smile playing on his face. 'Improves your sex life' Mr Eze says he eats dog meat because "e dey protect person from all those nyama-nyama disease them" - it gives you immunity from different diseases. DOG MEAT TERMINOLOGY 404: A dog is also called 404 after the French-built Peugeot pick-up van, a tribute to a dog's ability to run fast Headlights: A dish with the eyes of a dog as the most prominent component Gear Box: Dog's liver, heart and kidneys (usually more expensive than ordinary meat) Tyre: A dog's legs. Mr Umoh claims that eating a 'tyre' makes you a fast runner Telephone: A dog's tail Sentencing: The act of clubbing a dog to death rather than slaughtering it A few yards away Bassey Umoh, South Africa's owner and chief chef, pokes at larger chunks of sizzling meat barbecuing on wire gauze over an open fire. Mr Umoh, or Oga Bassey (oga is Pidgin English for boss) - as the "South Africans" fondly call him, says he has been selling dog meat since he completed a two-year apprenticeship in the business some 30 years ago. He also eats the meat he sells. "Eating dog meat gives you a special protection against the most potent juju (charm)," he claims, reeling off the benefits of dog meat. "Dog meat also improves your sex life. And if you eat dog meat, you cannot be poisoned." But not everyone is convinced by Oga Bassey's arguments. "The very idea of eating dog meat is absolutely disgusting," says Mary Iroanya, an office worker in the capital. "The talk about dog meat curing diseases and giving protection against charms and the rest is mere superstition. "People who eat dog meat only use those excuses to convince themselves that what they are doing is okay." Her colleague Adeola Osinuga is also less than convinced by such claims. "Besides, I cannot eat dog meat because dogs are like pets," she says. Easy target Oga Bassey, however, says his cuisine is in high demand although his business is not doing so well because dogs are becoming scarce now in Abuja. "Everybody is eating dog meat openly now, that is why dogs are scarce," he says. Many Abuja dog owners complain that their dogs have gone missing, probably ending up in the likes of Oga Bassey's big dog pepper soup pot. Eaters of dog meat claim there are many benefits Most Nigerians keep dogs not as pets, but as guard dogs. And instead of keeping them in kennels, the dogs are usually left to wander about freely, making them an easy target for people to kidnap and sell to restaurant owners like Mr Umoh. But Mr Umoh says he does not buy stolen dogs. He, however, admits that it is often difficult to tell whether some of the dogs sold to him have been stolen. "We have heard of people stealing dogs to sell. Our policy here in 'South Africa' is that we do not deal in stolen merchandise. So, we normally quiz our customers to be sure they are selling their own dogs," he explains. "Moreover, 'South Africa' is not the only dog-meat joint in Abuja," Mr Umoh adds. Indeed, there are three popular dog meat joints in this district on the western edge of Abuja alone. Also as a rule, there is always a dog-meat pepper soup joint in every army or police barracks in Abuja. Dog meat is not any different from any other meat. The claim that it cures malaria is definitely not true Dr Yakubu Nyandaiti Nigeria's riot police seem to have a thing for dog meat too as a popular dog-meat joint called Obalende sits in the middle of their barracks in Nyanya, another Abuja suburb. Another popular dog-meat spot is "Zimbabwe", an open-air joint next to a small river on the outskirts of Abuja. Unlike "South Africa", "Zimbabwe" is, however, notorious for its gamblers, pick-pockets, prostitutes and bootlegged spirits. Culture Another dog-meat eater, Beke Nnkwo says he was introduced to the cuisine as a cure for malaria. Oh la la! You don't know what you are missing Beke Nnkwo Dog-meat lover "People who eat dog meat have no business with malaria," Mr Nnkwo says. "So, I was introduced to the meat as a cure for malaria and I can testify that it works." Medical opinion, however, seems to differ. "Dog meat, to the best of my knowledge, is not any different from any other meat. The claim that it cures malaria is definitely not true," says Dr Yakubu Nyandaiti a consultant at Nigeria's University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital. "It cannot be true either that it boosts human immunity," he says. For Mr Nnkwo, however, an Igbo from south-eastern Nigeria, eating dog meat is a question of culture. "I hear they eat frogs in certain parts of the world. But I tell you, no matter how you cook or dress a frog, I can never eat it. "But dog is different. So, eating dog meat is a question of culture for me." Dog meat is also eaten in Plateau and Gombe states in the north and it is becoming quite popular in other parts of the country including Kaduna and Adamawa with Abuja as the newest entrant. Asked how tasty the meat is, Mr Nnkwo beams and says: "Oh la la! You don't know what you are missing."
  9. oooo Captian Xalane are we upset that our leader is on the world stage, please your land when did land the North ever become part of Somalia even in the Union it was neglected. Facts are Facts the idea of nation state came to somalia in 1960, before that their was never a Somalia thats reality, second reality is TFG and somaliland will talk about the issue and TFG knows for fact it can not force one side to join if they dont want to, thats reality the U.S. knows the E.U. knows and A.U. knows, so Captian use common sense and not emotion when stating stuff i know its your opinion but to me it looks like opinion of somali that thinks through emotion then logic.
  10. Taako, Taako, Taako, you one funny person, have you thought of career in comedy maybe a work in Saturday night Live, or Mad TV cause you are funny. But back to the topic in hand this comment of yours was great and i quote from you "was he welcomed by some members of the North West Residing in Ghana" LOOOOOL great one; you made it look like the Somaliland President was meeting with just average people maybe from somaliland or local Ghanaians like the bathroom cleaner right lool. You right no way in history could Somaliland president meet with the leader of African nation like Ghana noooo way in history right. OOOOOOOO Wait he did meet him(http://www.sdwo.com/) and they talked and was escorted around the city by the Ghanian police wooow, this makes your comment of somaliland leader not funny no more oooo how sad lol
  11. You go Ebonique loool. Taako Man your view of identity and nationality is different from what others see themselves, so stop seeing things only through the lens of your eyes. Good example that supports Ebonique view is the Arab/Isreali issue belive it or not. Many nations in the middle east from Egypt, Yemen, Sudan have strong passion to see their "Arab brothers and sisters in peace and happy" they are not from the same country, but share same race, cultrual traditions as the Palastinans. The same is for Ebonique, who like other groups may feel she not from that nation IE Somalia but instead Somaliland, but shares cultural similarties with them to have love and hope for better future for them. So relex drink tea and dont have your undes in bunch.
  12. Taako Man your come back makes no sense do you know how long it took somaliland to have elections, i tell you it took from creation of the state in 1991 to elections ten years later. And do you know why things had to be put together that long i tell you, people had to be taught of what democratic system is and functions, poltical parties formed, areas for voting created, dates for municpial, presidential, and parlaiment created. To date none of the above has been done by the TFG. In this Federal system will the status be the same of unelected people coming to paraliment or will it be like in Somaliland where political parties not clan is elected into government. Thus ol boy, my view of 2009 of new government is doubtful. P.S. While somaliland leader is not good at his work, he is also not the devil you make him out to be. I could say the same thing about your TFG leader or Ethopia, Djbouti and so on of bad leaders but governments still run and people still living, working, going to school and living life to the fullest lol.
  13. aaaa haaa so violent you agree with me that this president was not elected by the people aaa at least we getting some where. Your next point is weak cause you can not compare President Bush with the TFG president for the simple but big fact that regardless what people think of Bush, he was elected by the people of the whole United States, you can not say the same about the old man. So dont compare apple to oranges ok. Third point of the violences ICU or not the key point is that in the capital before the ethiopia came in their was no mass deaths or killings, after they came in mass killings of civilians, people leaving in large numbers and somali security officials being killed. You can not sugar coat that. Fourth point yes legeally he is seen by people out side of somalia as the presdient but back home sections and regions dont view him as that, the capital is spilt on their views of the man and over seas somalis from UK to Sweden to seattle to see him as president. Being a paper president maybe ok with you, but its sad that he cant go to certain areas of nation he claims to lead. Taako man you say that "The first government of Abdurahman Tuur was not elected by all the 'people'" and you know what i agree. The foundation of the creation of somalia was weak and todays reality is the result of that.
  14. facts are facts this government was not elected by the average person of somalia. Fact most somalis are divided on this president. Fact people are still dying even after the ICU left Fact this topic is going in circles lol
  15. elected please sorry to pop your dream but half the government of the TFG is filled with Warlords who rep power for their clan and who took power in a region by force and not by the will of the people, only the Puntland region in the government is were you have groups that have some backing of the people of that region. the Reps from Somaliland in the TFG have no backing of support from the people it represents. So please violet dont make the TFG to be all represented by leaders who are for the people by the people type of government cause in the end its not that black and white, its lets say gray picture of this TFG government
  16. Trust me when Somaliland has the same accesss to funds IE World Bank and Development of the Ports; the days of Djibouti having control of the sea will be over
  17. With that avatar Violet i thought you would say something different about the old man looooooooooooooooooool.
  18. Djubouti in this point is being greedy, wanting to be the only nation in the horn to export out. I have no clue why that nation is surprised that somaliland said no to use thier port. Somaliland has port the should use it to gain the money to develop that port and somaliland as whole, instead of giving money to djubouti so they can develop.
