  1. Maaddeey, Waraabe took revenge against the dervish cause 10 years before they raided his hometown ( under a tribal raid) looting camels so he did what every man with balls would and take revenge against them looting a camel boot of 70,000 - in the battle hogoogane i respect him for standing up for himself and not being a coward.
  2. Maaddeey, infact do you know the first somali man to attack the british way before even the sayyid arrived from sudan was Suldaan Amaan Nuur in berbera? the first ever battle also to take place against the british was also in burco, Suudi Shabeele, Suldaan Amaan Nuur, and the Sayyid were all present there and this was when there use to be good relations between the people of burco and the sayyid, the dervish movement was born in burco and it died in Qoraxeey & Immy.
  3. Maaddeey, I heard about that famous incident i am not trying to discredit the sayyid laakinse when people over-exaggerate him that is when i will step in and tell the taarikh how it is for example even after when he died in 1920-1921 - 40 years before british somaliland independence i simply asked tujiye to tell me why christianity didn't spread in all that 40 years? he simply failed to answer me and restored to mr john iyo waxas. Lastly the sayyid was not the only 1 fighting colonials there was numerous men such as Suldaan Amaan Nuur, Suudi Shabeele, Sheikh Omar Bashiir, and many other numerous men and they deserve credit aswell.
  4. Maaddeey, i never said it was sayyid's fault but all i was saying is every people have their bad apples and good apples so tujiye should think about it before he tries to badmouth/mock other groups.
  5. Karl_Polanyi , it's funny indeed the level of bias in some members if some people think they have a free pass insulting my people they have something coming.
  6. C&H, i never mentioned your name nor am i interested in conversing with you , talk about assuming things!
  7. Not only that the sayyid also starved and looted the camels of entire sub groups wh opposed his rule it's well documented and some where killed by small pox in the somali region when they were fleeing the bombarding of the british planes in taleex iyo Cidaankii Adan Gibb, and last of the remaining soldiers were killed by Haji Warsame Buraale Waraabe Haji waraabe - haji the the Hyena & Risaaldr Haji Musa Farah under the battle called "Hogoogane"..
  8. The Zack, it wasn't supposed to be funny but merely a taarikh , i guess you have no clue where is A&T he will properly tell you the caano-boore crews long connection with haile selassie and Caashre Dheere.
  9. The Zack , what can you tell us about the relationship between Caarshe Dheere - Sir Geoffrey Archer and the Caano-boore crew?
  10. Tuujiye , i didn't ask you to tell me the reasons why the sayyid fought, obvisiouly mostly people know that laakinse the question was if your claiming he was stopping people being christianised, why even when he died in 1921-1920 that is a 40 year gap leading to the somaliland independence didn't we see a increase in people becoming christians? taarikh been ha ka sheegiin sxb, the british were never interested in such a thing that much all they wanted is to control the ports in the north leading to the adan trade and meat trade they were not like the italians who made dozens of somalis catholics and even changed their language.
  11. Tuujiye , the sayyid died in 1920-1921 and that is 40 years before somaliland got independence so why didn't people became christians in that 40 year gap? your logic is nonsense sxb, there was many anti colonial men such as Haji Suudi Shabeele, Suldaan Amaan Nuur, Chief Caaqil Ismail, sheikh Bashiir, sayyid was not the only 1 so quit trying to potray him as a saint.

Yeey might need to come out of retirement for P/lands sake. only to see the darwish man sitting and sipping shax in hargeisa and even worse double agents in the puntland soldiers.

Nassir , wa ruunta the golis range wa chain of a long beautiful mountains that start from sheikh that end up all the way in Majiyahaan mountains laakinse wii kala quruxbadanyihin daallo, sheikh, ras suraad, cal-madoow are all extremely green and beautiful. Secondly i am not injecting anything sxb so viva somaliland each to it's own.
  22. Nassir, first of all nobody is talking about calmadow, we are talking about daallo and ras suraad forests, secondly as far as i am concerned the real sanaag is part of somaliland, pictures speak thousand words. More history about daallo Erigavo lies at the bottom of the highest peak in Somaliland and somalia Surud about 2670 ft above the sea level. It is surrounded by very beautiful natural views like Mountain Daallo. There is a road which goes to the top of this high mountain. At the mountain's peak, one can see the sea as well as a small town called Mait about 60 km away. Sometimes the roar of leopards can be heard, for which the local people have many stories to share.[citation needed] In the government area of the town of Erigavo referred to as the Shacab, a simple masonry monument holds the wrecked engine block of a British biplane that crashed in the area in 1920 while carrying out bombing operations against Mohammed Abdullah Hassan. This operation, based out of Aden, is thought to be one of the first uses of aircraft in war on the African continent . Scattered throughout the coastal ranges and some distance inland from the escarpment are large graves. The latter are in the shape of cairns of large stones loosely piled on top on each other, and extend up to three meters in height and six to ten metres in width. These are known as Galla graves (Taalla Galla), and are thought to predate the settlement of the area by Somali people.[citation needed] Some have been opened up, showing a small burial chamber covered by a flat rock. The cairns near the coast at Mait seem to be more complex in design, with two distinct levels, the use of different colored stone for different sections, and sometimes an outer boundary ring of stones some metres away from the cairn itself. Environment and wildlife The Dorcas Gazelle. Daallo Mountain and Surad mountain range, two popular local tourist destinations, offer a scenic view, as does Mount Shimbiris, the highest peak in somaliland and Somalia. Mount Shimbiris sits at an altitude of 2450 meters above sea level, and is located in the Surud mountain range. SRTM data shows that its often quoted elevation of 2,416 m is slightly low. One can also take in the local wildlife, such as the Black-backed Jackal, the Dorcas Gazelle, the Hamadryas baboon, the Suidae, Common Dwarf Mongoose, Abdim's Stork, Long-crested Eagle and the Hartebeest. If you want to know the sources just ask for it....
