^^ Labada ba. As for Jumca, I do when I can get away from the office (which is, luckily, most Fridays. I usually go to shiisha afterwards. ). Anyway, sounds like you want a step-by-step explanation, so here goes: "Wa la idin wada salaamay" in my eyes is the stuff that someone with too much 'kibir' would say. Therefore, having seen you posting here when I posted my words, I had to play with words along the same theme and came up with "stand up". Kow dheh. "wadaad lunsan" was to say that you are not interested in the show-off things that normal Somalis would worry about such as being experts on Somali culture and nomadic life styles (xasuuso, I was talking about camels). And, in my exprience, Somalis always like to show off about their linguistic abilities and geel jire knowledge. It's as if they'll look "bila asal" if they don't boast to each other about knowing the obsecure name of something to do with geel or other treasured Somali posessions (just like the Arabs having beauty contests for camels, waa is tus uun). Fahantu mise turjubaan baan o yeedha? p.s. Guul waan jecelahay lakin runtaan ka jecelahay saaxib. In here, there was no offence to be had. Wax fahan.

^^ No sorry between saaxiib and nothing really to say sorry for dee. In fact, markaan ku tilmaamay 'wadaad lunsaan' waa baan amaanay (in the context of the topic). Thank you for the correction (I was typing in a hurry ).

^^ Wakaa! Miyaanan ku odhan waad lunsantahay, saaxib! War I was JOKING (a play on "waa la idin wada salaamay") and really didn't need to be slapped across the face with that hadeeth or be given that gabay. Xamaasada guurmaad joojin, saaxib? As for the funny and not funny, dee I didn't expect everyone to find it funny (though I found yours funny). Naga daa dee.

^^ Hello beautiful. Hope all is well with you. Still taking time out or have you gone back to the rat race?

^^ Come come Duke, an open goal is an open goal, saaxib. This is to do with Galgala and Nassir has been the most vocal person about the Galgala issue on this forum (I even think he argued with you over it a few times). It's natural to think of him when the issue arises again. p.s. GT, I saw Nassir reply to another thread earlier. You'll be happy to know that (this week) he's a Puntlander. :D

I am in now. Whoever wants to stand up for me, may stand up. Whoever wants to turn their face away, may turn their face away. For the rest, waan idin wada salaamay. Maaddeey;797338 wrote: Good to hear iney joogto oo caafimaad qabto. Sawir Mombasa ma soo socdaan hadda, nuune aan ka sugeynaa waa isagii booteynaayee. Edit : I don't think anyone understood that, and may be thats what JB was asking ee noo fasir bal aan qosolka kula qaybsanee yaa NGONGE. You've got to have geel jire tendencies to understand that, Maaddeey. A&T would have got it in a flash. Kuwa kale 'is tuska' jecel would have also got it and saw themselves in it. Adiga se, mullah lunsaan baad tahay, saaxib. JB na waa iska reer magaal. p.s. What's the hump of the camel called and how many words are there in Somali to describe it?

It's been years since I've been to that city. As far as I remember, it's a nice city but not as developed as Dubai, Abu Dhabi or Sharjah. Its people are nicer, more hospitable and altogether better than the rest. Sleepy town is a better description to be honest. If the job is good, for it. p.s. Is Pakistan that hot? Hotter than Berbera for example? (Fujirah is like Berbera in more ways than one).

Garaad Cali yusuf of eastern sanaag warns against terrorism in the region
NGONGE replied to Xaaji Xunjuf's topic in Politics
Eastern Sanaag ya dagaa? All Somali news reports have become glorified versions of SOL discussions these days. Eastern Sanaag, Western Ceergaabo, etc, etc. -
^^^ Heh@reading too much in these cartoons! p.s. Notice how only the last two are "kicking their handlers"? :D
-
By the way, Che, are there any cartoons by AA from the warlord days about 'Somali politics today'? Only then could we argue if this is a good or bad thing!

^^ Open for Business indeed.

Four magpies outside my window just now!

Somaliland Haters Reeling As Article 6 Takes Center Stage
NGONGE replied to Siciid1986's topic in Politics
Awful and very vulgar article. -
^^ GT, adna "defence mode" ayaad iska gashay. Carafat got things upside down and has not read the memo about the "bottom up" approach in Somalia. His question would have made sense if Sharif was contesting the PL presidency. If you hated his policies for Somalia, you'll be bound to reject him taking over PL.

Heh. Reminds me of the time when I was ten and saw an Indian guy abusing a goat. We hit him right on the testicles with one of these :

Carafaat;796028 wrote: What is Federal? to send you failed clan Politician to the Presidency? Somalia, werent you complaining about Faroole neglecting your clan enclave in Galkacyo for not giving you more weapons. How could he be a "failed" politician when it is he who carried the federal torch all along? I'm just explaining your dodgy logic to you, saaxib. If they dislike the Imam then they'll be happy to see him going away and running Somalia whilst knowing that PL will still have much of its autonomy with whatever new leader it has. Wax fahan.

Carafaat;796748 wrote: We should have these contest as well. I bet my folks would have the best goats and sheeps around the penisula. Goats must be highly prized in your neck of the woods, saaxib. Other people normally boast about camels.

^^ Why is Goodluck standing behind the Somalis?
-
^^ Where is Juxa to explain this Somali of yours, for I have no idea of the meaning of what you just said.

^^ Turkey is organising the next conference and this is (probably) a sign of what they have in mind.
