  1. Somalis spread like the Jews- now if only we could be as effective as the Jewish communities who have risen to the top of each and every country they settled in. Suldaanka- about the Somali Indians in Hyderabad- you might be on to something- in all of my travels across India, it was the only place I was welcomed and treated nicely- but then again they might just be the nicer people! lol The Indian Jews are doing really well, in a country of many Gods, one more does not make a difference- most of the Hindu worship places have the star of David in the symbols.
  2. taleexi- why dont you have any camels? IF my Bangladesh kusband can find token camels to give- every farah SHOULD and MUST have camels. If you dont your are worthless to a Somali women. It is akin to a Somali women refusing to have kids, ever!? that is how serious the camel issue is- in the northern areas Only.
  3. Anyone saying "naaya" should be stone and then burned to death. P.s. That is nor a romantic life in any culture- call the police on your couple Juxa I didnt say I wanted it!? I said I would deem it romantic in the Somali sense, Although if I wanted to stall for time- it would be the perfect way, getting all those camels, horses and guns in order takes time-
  4. Godlataa? Wtf- what is she a goat or a she camel? The old if he dont beat me, he dont love me tale was a joke Nuune- ruun haa moodiin. The camels have now been replaced by Gold grams- simply because people like Gold, easy to store, cash in, affordable and less like being sold in a market etc. So you ask for 900gm of Gold, which is like $50,000- now that is under valued considering 200 camels are worth $150,000 and they must be brought up front. What I dont understand is- if our grandfathers could do it- it should be possible now. I went all over the land of the unromantic men of this thread- each family has a max of 50-100 camels- that means who one of them marries- to get 200 will be dac iyo boob and help- I dont find any of those characteristics desirable- it is similar to some robbing a bank for your wedding-however at least he is trying- Somalis sometimes confuse tuugnimo with farridnimo. As for the horses- the said community are no longer big on the horses- aside from in Nugaal harldy saw any- I was trying to be realistic dee
  5. Juxa Sorry movie marathon yesterday- saw your miss calls late- will call you in a bit. My rant today is about teeth- Eeeew I hate people with bad mouth, I cant talk to people with bad teeth, with things sticking out, black, green, double rows of teeth- I just can't- that is my one superficial thing- the only think I agree with Americans about- The success of any relationship (business, friends, family) hinges on good clean teeth!
  6. Looooool. I laugh generally at the notion of Somali men and romantic in the same sentence. Somali culture dictates that romance exists in songs and poems only and even in songs and poems it is those heart broken rejected songs with graphic details of veins popping, heart stopping, lungs burning and giving up on life- How depressing- which really is more obsession than love. Somali love is expressed through sacrifices; Asking Somali men for romance should be banned- if a farax ever turned up at my house with flowers and chocolates or got down on one knee to propose I would probably throw up on him and then beat him with my dacas- superficial, culturally assimilating freak. I would, however deem 200 camels, 2 horses (stolen if he does not own it), and a gun- a romantic gesture in the Somali sense- particularly from the said unromantic men of this thread. In case you missed the gist of my point- Romantic based on what notion and what culture?
  7. ^^^Loool wax walaan. I have Galaxy S4 and it is such a beautiful phone, easy to use, beautiful pictures, light, fast, and most of all simple, allows you to control how simple you want ur usage to be or how busy. I would highly recommend it.
  8. Norf Eat more? I've never been on a Diet- I eat none stop! Lily hey!!!!
  9. Is it a bank or a Xawal? IF a bank who is it regulated by and who guarantees my monies? I recongise two former Londoners in the pictures I wonder if they have shares or customers. hmmm I hate the bathroom look on buildings which seems to be the new trend these last 6 months- please let it pass!
  10. SalamAlium people! Wohooooo I am alive, praise the lord! How is everyone?
  11. Howdy- this place is dead without my friend. Such long week
  12. Somali evidence is normally just repeated asking and beating someone one up until they plead guilty! No other evidence, forensic or otherwise is collected. Therefore until we have the capacity to carry out a just investigation- it is premature and probably makes things worse! RIP for all the dead!
  13. I hope to God, he does not join Somaliland! it will just proof he was always self serving interest and after power, like most of these pro Somalia people. I also think Somaliland should stop accepting all the failures from the south (likewise Somalia should stop accepting failures from the north) We need to weed these people out all together! Iiishee calakey Somali Politics is like a school yard environment!
  14. Loool- it is good time now- you can find a seat on the tube now rather than rush hour! or sleep in the office and leave work early tomorrow- I have been known to work all night and head out as everyone else is coming in so yes I do believe you!
  15. You mean the afternoon? or tomorrow? Take tomorrow off and have a long weekend, and leave early today! What is there to think about- life is too short.
  16. salamAlikum and good day all. How are you and what is new?

    NGO Shukaansi

lol strange- where are you going with this?? Not it is boring- much like all NGOs and INGOs P.s. Your worst story EVER
  18. " this event representating Khatumo, Awdal and Makhir communities of Toronto and Ottawa, Canada." I could not get past that- The plain truth is people in those regions dont have the time or luxury to bother with whatever you are parading. Disapora folks who have nostalgia feelings towards "Somalia" will always do their continuous fundraising, partying and flag waving to keep their own dreams alive whether about clan pride, unity or otherwise- the reality on the ground marches to its own beat and in accordance to their NEEDS. The same goes for Disapora Somaliland and Puntiland folks too. I have been to caynabo, LA, Badan, Eerigaabo, Yagori and lots of villages around that area- as an International election observer and two further occasions for a literature campaign to build libraries and most recently as a research consultant; All I saw and heard were villagers going about their business and daily life. Their attitude is wiixi waxaan na siiya ayaan raaceyna. As for Awdal- if you could not keep Samatar or offer him anything for all his Somali-weyn believes- then you have even less to offer people who are the furthest away- at least Makhir meelaya, then sool and sanaag and work your way slowly to Awdal- what exactly do you think they are going to do now? carry their land and jump over the rest for what reward and purpose other than the rantings of dirac wearing women signing in the Diaspora, and self interest men who want to make a business out of them?! Go and visit them- see how they live- give them the money, otherwise it is just hot air and feel good rhetoric's- which are not worth the sand they walk on.
  19. Loool Juxa- the amount of reer waqooyi people going back to Xamar, selling their proterty, opening new business. Horta the whole of Hargeisa business is over in xamar stablishing franchies over there and linking up with local companies- ciid walba ciid aya ku xidhetey. You need to go Xamar Juxa and be my link! Adam Shikh is beautiful and amazing- small community, at one with nature, but you may get bored- too much of a miyi for some people. I go there to shut down, sight see and hiking [which people find strange]- you come back with a different prospective all together.
  20. Yes- we just hike our clothes and step on stepping stones to cross lol, just kidding- the water disappears as fast as it appears- runs down the hills all the way to the sea. Such waste. Only small puddles remain on bases of hills or dung areas.
  21. Somali well lets hope the bubble burst soon or it would be another Angola. Adam- not that I know of- with that in mind you shall be perfectly fine in Hargeisa or anywhere else- dont let the Diaspora online fidi ku diri scare you. The reality is Somali's true to their nomadic nature roam all over the place. Juxa was amazed when she came to see me- I think she was expecting in la shiido or dhagax lagu turturo :D but aside from crude honesty- there are no other risks to your wealth, health or safety.
  22. I love rain- but I hate the mosquitos and strange looking creatures it brings out- not to mention lacking of town flood management. I was at home for 7 days- didnt leave my house- then I stepped out for a short walk on the 7th day.
  23. ^^^Agree and very true- but they would need to get a different set of black faces- we can agree for Bashir and Adan- their acting career- at least as pirates is over. We might see them in a new blockbuster about master minders of something else in time though
  24. It depends on what you are doing- if you are a unionist advocating for the destruction of SL or have Political voice and motivation dont come, but regular folks walk around with diverse views and go on about their business. Garowe- all I know about that place is they cook beer with water rather than frying it and full of ultra-religious vocal men- girls always come back complaining about how many layers they have to wear in the heat. lol When you think of going?
  25. I saw this earlier and could not stop laughing; Bashir- why would a real pirate be giving interviews to these white people for a bit of change when he is a pirate and rich! lol logic! LAzy journalist- serves them right! Although Jamal has obviously now killed off their business!
