  1. Looooool!!! @ kombuyuutarkaan feedhi gaadhay. Dont break your computer!!!! lol JB you know it is true. Dont make me quote waxaad adigu tidhadtiid!! North yes that too. Stoic I know laakin it must be rooted in some fear to express attachment or you truly feel like you are just a temporary passenger. When ever I hear a guy say ciyaalka hooyadod, I use to think the parents were divorced.
  2. Somali men adopt a certain distance when talking about their children and wife. It always confuses me. Look at Stoic above comment. You would think he was a none related ghost. - the kid as suppose to MY kid/child. - Some little soul as suppose to responsibility for MY child - HIS mom as suppose to MY wife - His grandmother as suppose to YOUR mother or mother in-law. I was already thinking about this before I saw Stoic comment. I was speaking to my friend and his said I was speaking to the kids and their mother- me who? which kids and mother? So detached and independent of the family unit. Especially when they say it in Somali, I use to think maybe wey ka shaiksanyihin if they are the father or something.
  3. LOOOOOOOOL!!!!!!! Juxa it is a little better from Berbera to Dubai or Wajeer to Kenya. So they act civilized for international flights compared to regional. Faheem inyow and Im not going to be dragged out again.
  4. Howdy and SalamAlikum people. Finally getting over the awful duurey!!! I feel alive. Might even be tempted to go out and meet the hindis- but can't be asked.
  5. “I consulted with the elders, religious leaders, youth and other prominent persons from my Galje’el clan. I was urged to resign,” stated the resigning deputy minister. He added that the fact that each of the ten ministries will have two deputy ministers meant that even a deputy ministerial post he was to assume was just half the position. “Considering the influence of my clan, I cannot accept to assume the position in a ministry with two deputy ministers,” remarked Mr. Ali. “There was an earlier consensus that my clan would get a state minister. Thus, this nomination must be undermining my clan’s status and I would not go down into the history books as the man who accepted an inferior position for my clan,” he added lol, the man is too funny- I dont want to go down in the history books kulaha! lol tragically funny. But even more tragic after some under the table negotiations, his clan is somehow accommodated and thus this madness of keeping the balance and his behaviour rewarded. Shame but his loss and his clan too if as he says it was a community decision. I hope they are not accommodated! bite the dust.
  6. Loool. All these years and arabic is still hard for you!!!! Though in Dubai you probably learnt hindi like Faheema! HEy Ngonge. Adam. lol why do you say that?

    What to do?

Waranle_Warrior;898919 wrote: A guy by the name GNONGE claims that clan is EVerYTHING, why not attack him but slain the young girl for being loyal to her clan. That's below the belt and pure hypocrisy if you from the same clan as that guy. Leave her be and love her clan, everyone does. I have- if you go to the politics section there are pages and pages from 2009. I have since proved my case and Ngonge gave up. There is also evidence that I public advocate for a Somali women clan across the board, because women in the traditional Somali sense do not have a clan. Now stop encouraging your cousin in wasteful and disastrous ways and learn to cross the bridge- you might be surprised at the goodness and loyalty of humanity as a whole.

    What to do?

Lol I asked you questions maxaad isla xariifin?? and my questions stand and followed by what the hell does your people even mean? thinking you know someone based on what you perceive about their clan is in fact ignorant. BUT I based my assumptions on this below exchange: ^You see all his plans are make more babies with you and prop up the number of the enemy clan via you. Never accept that you answered Waranle I'm fiercely loyal to my people to say the least. Thanks. so I asked you two questions and then gave an example of what I was asking you- About being easy- Im sure you will figure out I dont mice my words, but Im not hitting on you, so I cant say you are easy or not- laakin that fact this guy think he can ASK and then force a hug means he either thinks you ARE easy or you've been giving mix signals. IF you had a dont enter my ocean air about you- it would not happen. You dont always get what you want, because you might not be what THEY want- what does a good looking man on is on his deen what with a girl who gets random hugs from questionable guys at work with rumors that she was his girlfriend floating about? Cousin means in the general sense of the word- same generic sub clan- anymore who by listing your fathers you meet before you get to 20 names. P.s. It is a forum- things cease to be yours soon as you post them PUBLICLY and anyone can say what they like, so dont post things you feel sensitive to people having different views on. And the general rule is if you post shid, you will get shid comments. and I am judging the content of what your wrote not you- for all I know you could be make it all up. On second thought: * laakin I will leave you and your threads alone from now on, because you will only take comments personally nor do I have time for ding dong replies As you were,*

    What to do?

what do you mean you are loyal to your clan? you mean you actually judge people based on their clan? lol are you serious. Meeet farax- warya qolmaad tahey? Faaxa: I am china farax qooslayee U: Mentally filed in the never consider looooooong file. Warya get away from me- your clan and my clan are enemies Faarax: I dont even know my clan thing that well U: So? you killed all my people- go away F: Walahi I never killed nobody U: *****- war what your clan do, you are guilty of! F: I am so sorry! I find it interesting that you advocate for foreign marriages outside of the Somali race, yet there dividing lines within the Somalis- unless you are joking about only marrying your cousins or foreigners. I guess now I understand the whole thing about lack of good Somali men who is both religious and good looking from just one clan or few vetted clans which is pushing you towards the foreigners so fast (dont worry I am not judging on the foreign thing- I can't with my Bengali kusband- but Im judging on the cousin marriage thing. P.s. The farah thinks you are easy and playing his games!!! farah or any men should not even think he can touch your little finger let alone attempt a hug without explicit and initiated permission-!!! You should've slapped him so hard tears run like raindrops- it would've been a lesson well learnt.

    What to do?

I told you not to give him that drink!!!!!! Now look what happens when you give a farah some juice No problem, he successfully managed to get all your co-workers off your back. Now you dont need to make small talk and fake smiles- sounds like protection = you should thank him. Of course if you were eyeing up someone else at work- correct the situation, otherwise what does it really matter?
  12. Hargeisa dee- I keep hearing people saying ahulul bayet- I thought they meant it like Mecca
  13. JB thanks for the numbers. All sorted. I wanted to ask them though how can it be cheaper to go to Hargeisa- Burco, than HArgeisa-Berbera, It is only 12 seats, so you can just hire the whole thing for the family NGonge. It is decent prices too- for Diaspora NOt locals.
  14. Lol! What is the big deal. I general feel uncomfortable talking to people- even ones I've seen around (like people you get on the bus with everyday for a year) so you know their face. I do find it strange for people to just talk to me (not asking for directions etc) but chatting. People only ever talk to me because they have a motive or they want something. The only exception to this rule and I do make this exception for old Somalis- I love the oldies and where ever and when ever I see them- I fold my book or stop for a while and chat with them. They have the most interesting life and stories, and in them I still see a sense of purity and honesty in their eyes and speech that I dont feel with other Somalis. Their kindness makes me sad, but Im always glad I made the time for them. I think XX objected to the fact that this guy approached him as if there was previous relation between them as individuals- based on the Somali factor. I too ignore people, particularly young farahs, what possible meaningful contribution can a farah on a train/bus/street make to my life? In fact it is rude and offensive for them to talk to me unless they are lost, need direction or something else, but not just for chatting- Just yesterday when I walked out of an airport, this farah chases after me yapping about hey sister do you want a cab Im going to town too, I didnt even look at him, just walked towards the taxi ranks- he said "war wax Ethiopian ah ayaan iska eraadey" and went back to the entrance to bother someone else. lol XX was nice to this man- I would've just said; iska raali ahoow, and please ha ila hadalin, haadi kale wa inan ka kaco halkaan,
  15. Ibtisam

    Me, myself I

lol Somalis and Split personalities. It must be a farah thing!!!! I act, do and say the same things everywhere, consistency is good for the soul. I am glad to be in your caadi oska dhig crew NGonge.

  19. Winter- I love love going into really warm places! hot chocolate, tea and cakes. Ice skating and movie nights are about the only things you end up doing. Invite people over, saves you meeting them anywhere and then having to walk/ get home! yiiiks
  20. Hmmmm- Juxa inshallah. I hope so too. Blessed!! are you serious?? lol Adam- I love you, dont let all the hating getting you down brother A&T lol I gave up on your threads because siidaa engrisi ugu qorsiid you switch to af Somali, and waan ka wahsaada to read Somali. In any case, I feel uncomfortable reading questionable things from oodayaasha! I will go and look for one thread now. Blue: well said!!! I could not agree more. Wrye: You need help- my answer is what Blessed said. Johnny B I didnt know you was still alive!!!! good to see you still kicking. I think I saw a thread titled- The day Johnny B started praying so I though you must have passed on. Ngonge: Lol because I am Ibti and I have a tendency to hear people out even if they chat rubbish The Cantrabaqash crew- talk to cyber space for the eyes are not reading >>>> door>>>>out
  21. YAwn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Salam people. 7.30pm and Im just about to have lunch- I hate waiting. Maantaab I spent waiting for one thing or another. But I got it all done! alhumdulilah. I randomly started thinking about the white man on Oxford Street who says "the end is near, either you are sinners or you are winners, so which one are you.... mama which one are you winners or sinners" hehehe I think we need one in the center of HArgeisa!
  22. There is no welfare system for Somalis from Somaliland, half of their population has some kind of mental illness and all the "war hero's" are going through stages of no one ever rewarded us or recognised us for our scarifies. You hear them bitterly complaining at every turn. If anyone should get welfare- they should. As a refugee as one point of my life, of course I wish it was different, but the reality is Somaliland is not and cannot provide welfare for anyone in its current state. Demanding that it should just simplifies the problems and shifts the blame. At the moment they are supplemented by INGOs who pay the welfare (much like they did when I was a refugee kid in Ethiopia) but of course that means many who are not needed or refugees are in the queue of welfare. lol
  23. Apophis regardless how much we stretch the deen lines/ aspect, you will still be excluded, so what does it matter what specific kind they are looking for? It is never gonna be deen-less. I have met some religious people who say culture is xaram and equal to gaalnimo.
  24. ^^Wadani- she is in school- sexual and feminist revolution adiga ayaa sheegeaya. I am amused how from school and office work you reached all that conclusions and then the added spices of what is intended for SL/Somalia etc. Yaab. Che. Lol Alpha- this thread has nothing to do with you- if you see your reflection it is purely accidental. Apophis: In Somali women or Kenyan women>?
  25. I think many men suffer from little man syndrome, so vulnerable needy women make them feel BIG, at the same time I find that many women pretend to be vulnerable as it is easier that way. I was discussing this with inanata gurgiga ila joogta yesterday. She has been going to school for a while now and one of her family member told her "dee malaah waxaad dooni inaad xafiis uu shaqo tagtiid" to which she almost ashamed replied, maya maya I just want to be able to read and write. Of course me and my big mouth I asked why? what is wrong if she has that aspiration, is it not better than what she is doing currently. A long and disturbing discussion ensued. I get the impression that culturally we raise women to be weak and vulnerable. I can't stand weak women who must always depend on some but I am amazed that there are men out there who find vulnerable women attractive? Even worse I find it strange to see a women pretending to be weak. When I lived in the UK, I always use to think, poor Asian women, madaax aya laga heesta, I never though strong, loud talking, stubborn Somali women could potentially be in the same category. I hope women get over this image of expecting some lion of a man to fight all your battles for you! Amen
