  1. Pujaa it might be the water, what do you use for your body (body wash?)
  2. ^^^ You are female? are you kidding me?? loooooooooooool. In that case i don't you should meet Red sea anywhere dear (sorry RED)lool This is so funny! By the way what happens at the grocery stores??
  3. ^^^loool^ i thought that as well.! damn. Dabshid waan kaa yaabi
  4. whats "Boorbiro waa talco powder"^^^ Pujaa: 50 % are you kidding, not in London, I’m sure I would have noticed. like cambaro i hate make up let alone anything else ( sometimes i think i was meant to be a man in this life! lool!) seriously i look at some people and i always think, damn how early do you get up in the morning! Pujaa the reason your face is dry is because you are over loading it with products, day cream, night cream, soap, mask etc.. My advise is use something like coco butter in the morning, use baby wipes (yes baby wipes!) to clean your face before you go to bed, and avoid using soap on your face. It will allow your natural body/ facial oils/ to return. Excessive use of cream will mean either your skin gets too oily or too dry.
  5. Why would you go anywhere with them, let alone their home! I don't care what anyone says, but anyone who invites a guy around her house, or goes to his, if something happens to her, she has no one but herself to blame. I won't go as far as saying Mac soonkor but seriously she opened her self up to potential abuse and whatever else  i for one have no sympathy for her.
  6. Whats Boorbiro hun^^^ Hodman, YOU mean you know people like that, aadanbaan kaa yaabi! lool i have yet to meet someone who has peeled their skin off, i hear they can't walk in the sunshine!! looooooooool, man these people are so funny. Devil loool, haaye, how are you looking now, bit sore and red, don't worry it gets better, you will be white...
  7. BOB no I’m not happy, you quoted me, rather than saying it yourself dear idil I hear you girl, maybe... NGONGE: maaxaad kuu haadshi?? I’m scared of anything that moves other than Humans (and even some humans too) How I’m going to live in Somalia?? I don't know, maybe I’ll makes friends with all the animals! Hodman I will, sounds like I'm your replacement there, hopefully I won't run into all the problems you run into
  8. ^^don't tell me you tried it????
  9. Identity cards or e-passports are a method of keeping everyone in check/ chains and spy on their every move. Here in the UK, anyone who gets a passport after 2008 will be automatically given a biometric ID card along with it. It is an infringement of privacy, freedom and civil liberty. I see nothing to be happy about, let alone post pictures about it. It is indeed a sad day for any country when their citizens are given microchips to track their every move like a criminal! A massive database with an unprecedented amount of personal information would is created which gives government the power to "extend surveillance" of the population, which is something the will Worsen harassment of ethnic minorities or clans. They would provide another pretext for ethnic wars/ targeting religious people. Some people have argued that it is good counter terrorism, the truth is it has little impact on counter-terrorism: Terror networks could forge cards or papers enabling people to get cards, and they haven’t prevented attacks elsewhere. Weighing up the risks and benefits of identity cards is hard as it’s a very complicated issue, But I know Somali people need so much more to be “happy than an e-passport" for a non existent failed state.
  10. ^^^why maxaan iidin kuufaal?? I like my peaceful life as it is thank you very much, Pluz by the sound of it (the complaining ppl do in real life and on this forum) I am not missing much! so Thank God i never bothered with them, Don't plan to either. 13. ooh lord... HELP this child, someone knock her silly for me please  Cambarro I hope you are not implying that women change skin colour to be more appealing to men! i swear Somali people have gone mad!!. I hear peeling your skin off is very common in Somalia. Poster here is what you do: Buy black hair dye (it has to be black)Add boiling water, egg, basbaas, onion, black peppers and salt and some huurood) Mix it and splash it all over your body, you will be whiter than the ghost... by the way, it should hurt, but hey no pain no gain. Let me know how it goes.
  14. ^^you are kidding right, at least say sorry... I made a mistake sister!
  15. Thanks Everyone for all your suggestions (excluding BOB ) what the hell! Xalimopatra please do and thanks. For those who has suggested NGO's. I have to agree with Lily, from my experience in working with NGO's they are part of the problem a lot of the time (the do obviously provide some much needed health service). On the whole they consist of few people who want to help and many others who want to make a difference. Also i find it uncomfortable earning money from an organisations that is there to "better people" i don't mind helping out but not as a JOb!. Lily Medicine? hmm that’s kind of like playing with people's life, side effects, affectivity, even taking something as simple are Paracetamol can be problematic. Also i am sure there must be some regulations in exporting medicine. North: a Cloth Factory... hmmm, C. Lady: hello and I don't need insurance in to go to my own home. Red Sea: That the Somali bit is too long and complicated but I did read the last two sentences and the first! I think setting up a community center in one of the neighborhoods would be a great idea. The center would serve youth, elderly and all sorts of persons. Educating people on many health issues, educational needs I wAS thinking that, which means I will have to build a centre before I go their, and that requires more than one person to run, qualified people, and since I don't know one soul in Somalia, and they don't have a recruitment agency, how on earth will I find these people Hodman, thanks; lol, Garaad sorry I did not understand you silent message rudy I’ll assume you were saying Good luck, you are doing the right thing! thanks
  16. HANG on why are there people walking on the bridge in between the cars? somali people. lool. It looks good
  17. North: My experience is health care/ Hospitals. My education was International Relations & Third World studies JAC you might have to share those ideas with me…. Can you hurry up with them, time is running out I’m going in July Dabshid: Thanks Modern Cinema (My family will have a heart attack ) Supermarket: risky business, if you fail you lose out big time Private School: My cuz got there before me. Bakery: Too much hard work Intuition: lool Thanks Fabiana; Yes starting small is what I want to do. Otherwise I will flop and fall flat on my face Castor It means slave/ Wash women/ helper; I hear that’s all girls are allowed to do in Somalia and I’m not coming back (well only just to see the snow now and then!)
  18. Yeah... they have been talking about moving back for the last 5years... it was starting to think i was never gonna happen! lol Gas Stations.... Huh clueless. Cloths and grocery are bad idea, I was thinking furniture?
  19. OKAY people, I need some ideas. My whole family is moving back home this summer, with the exception of my brother who vowed to never move back... anyway I am trying to think of something to do when I get back home which does not require me to be there all the time (a business that runs it self really) as I will be doing some voluntary work 25hrs a week (teaching and helping out at a hospital). But I want my own source of income, so has anyone been back home recently? What do women do back home (I don't want to sale qaad, or being a jaraita) But I want to invest in something that will generate enough income. So what is the business Market like? What opportunities are available? Some people were telling me to go into buying and selling (from China to Dubia and final home) Has anyone done this or know someone who did this? What are the advantages/ disadvantages? p.s. We are moving to Hargisa. Thanks in advance.
