Ibti, how would you like it if someone mistook you for a Pakistani? Wiilka maskiinka ah si toos ah u salaam, and make amends for not recognizing his Somalinimo! I did not really think of that way. I'll erm speak to him in nothing but somali from now on... Ms DD, hmmm naah had a jacket on, so not much of a difference on the outside. I think I wore a Xalimofied hijab today, so maybe he clocked on that I am a xalimo. And was trying to make up for Not recognizing my somalinimo

^^A^T ONLY $12!! Sayid go back to page one, first reply to this thread, I listed them for you. Read it again, so please get cracking.
-
^^YAd yad yaa, typical somali not addressing legitimate concerns and instead insulting people.
-
^^^A Somali shike, who looks like an Asian shike and after four months suddenly decided to speak to me in Somali.
-
^^Defense??, Adam I think you would be best suited to another post. MS DD Sayid does not want Democracy, he is typical dictator, wants all this friends and no one else. MS DD Cool, I'll bring breakfast I'A. (for us not them)
-
^^Waaxa waalan, I told you I would not, and have not voted, but hey, whatever rocks your boat. My support for the girls in anything over the guys is no suprised. Men are useless. I cannot believe you included A&T, only thing that brother does well is write questionable stories *ducks* He is going to corrupt the kids
-
^^I did not vote, But if I did, I'd vote for Cara and Nephy so they can kick *** and teach all those murdering idio*ts some sense and damage those who refuse severely, while promoting women development, leadership and doing without this so called soft side. People like MS DD and AAliya would be sent for rehabilitation

^^^WHen I say North, dee I mean Burco Your sources are misplaced, all those people are stone throw away from each other and miles off North. The closest one is Paragon and A&T, one is always talking about Ethiopia and the other is hanging off the cliff of Puntland, what do they know about Burco's online needs and wants No keep your little election, I was trying to make it universal for you and help you involve more people, but since you are resistant I am going to encourage the boys to have an SL election to coincide with the country election in a few months. You wait and see, we throw the best celebration parties. LOOL @ MS DD! sister girl aim high, iis shaarax! Carry on, I’m stepping aside.
-
^^^WHAT? What kind of election is this. I refuse to vote and so will many others as result! 1) There are only two females candidate, and one of them you have ruined her name with you spelling! 2) Why can't we pick whoever we want instead of giving us a pre-picked list hand picked in the Politics section by fighting male fractions. TYPICAL SOMALI BULSHID of the worse making decisions on the maskeen. The politics section is full of nutcases, everyone loses their mind when they are in there! 3) I do not see anyone from the North in this list. Is this a Somalia affair or are you going along with the inherent line of excluding people from the North even in online pretend elections. In conclusion this is not a fair or representative selection, therefore people from SL and the females of SOL are boycotting this election. Okay okay, I'm not voting, and I speak only for me, I insist you add more sisters and more widely represented people to pick from. Or let us pick who we want. OH and before you say anything I like all the candidates, some of them are my fav people on SOL, but still I want them to win in a fair election so I can be proud of them. Contrast this list with the one in 2007, when politically netural people such as Val and rudy won

^^Wish mine was as exciting. It rained on us all day on Sat while we was out, and then it was sunny on sunday while I was indoors  If I did not know better I would think I was important and the weather wuu iila xiintamaya! I got a semi shock today In my local bakery shop where I pick up my breakfast every morning, I was in line to pay, and I hear "Abayoo yar siiko (or something like that)" I was thinking what is that! I tuned around and there was the Asian Shike who always serves me pushing some stuff for the shelf. I thought I was hearing things and answered his salam. He left what he was doing and started serving at the Till, when I got to the front, I ended up at his till. "Iska waaran" he says, I look at his name tag, then at his face and mutter something about I'm good. He carried on chit chatting "bac maa raabta", while I stared at my suddenly very interesting boots. I've been going there since August when went back to work and he always serves me, salam and I always think Shike yaar ee Asian kaa aha. Farird! Now he is Somali, I wonder why he decided to speak to me in Somali today

LOOOL NGonge. BG don't answer Sayid comment, he is assessing you
-
I grew up in the west and I got a little smack now and then or small beats with somali Caadeye and it did me good. I don't think beating kids does anything on its own, but it could be used as part of method/ approach to raise your child. And don't beat your child like a donkey or an enemy, seriously sometimes things I see!

^^LOOOL, he has everyone and their dad on Facebook and face book tell him three days in advance! Best wish's SS, may you only have all that is good for you both in this life and the next. Many more to come

**Must not reply to Adam's comment......erg I really want to say something, but errg  I've been avoiding it since I saw this comment! ** I agree with Nephy, all toilets which are not your house should be covered with Toilet paper!

^^YOu mean like the resistible urge to run in the opposite direction, or feeling claustrophobic and suddenly developing a severe dislike for the said person, although they are perfectly normal and likeable. I think that is called fishing for a reason to bring the whole thing to a halt. Yeah that I can understand/ relate to this. Ok maybe not, what bothers me mostly is "control, loss of freedom, and that mad concept of forever and ever and ever  I would die of boredom" I can commit for maximum of 5-10years. Aaah Maybe I do. My therapist (not a real one) told me, it is not a commitment issue, more like Shidan plays tricks on you and highlights (more like magnifies) Your partners shortfalls to prevent a good thing/ end goal (i.e. Marriage) as the making/ construction of a Muslim household is the most disliked by him. If you mean too many to choice from or you can't limit yourself to one person, that is a different story and I can't relate to it. Morning people

Ross, Brand and Freedom of Speech Whenever there is outrage in the Muslim community over offensive comments and caricatures targeted at Muslims, those behind such acts always use the "freedom of expression" card. Their argument is almost always accompanied by the "principle" that the right to offend is indeed the very cornerstone of a free society, this is the justification they present to carry on being Islamophobic. However, events often unfold that show the reality, which confirms that freedom of speech should have limits and must always be used responsibly. The actions of Jonathan Ross and Russell Brand have rubbished the nonsensical claim that freedom of expression must go hand in hand with the freedom to offend. Their comments were without doubt offensive and should not have been made and people, including MPs have rightly condemned them for their act. Notable absentees from this debate are the secular extremists and right wing Islamophobes who would normally come out of their holes to champion the freedom of expression card and warn us all of the dangers of giving up our liberties to appease those who take offence. The interesting fact is that the MPs, including PM Gordon Brown, who have waded into this debate and criticised the celebrity pair would normally be loathe to criticise any offence caused against Muslims or other faith groups and use the "freedom of expression" card to keep silent. You couldn't find a more blatant example of double standards if you tried! Blog
