I'm just not down with the erasure of Somalia's diversity and complexity, you see it in different and less subtle ways in other discussions (see Somali Bantu thread for example) but the assumptions made about Islam in Somalia are also in that vein. But that's a discussion for another thread, I think Make that thread. I shall have a field day. All my favourite topics in one
  3. Safferz;987667 wrote: lol you know the guy behind it all? Is he responsible for the Christianity of historical Somalis like Michael Mariano, Anthony James, Peter Raymond, etc too? We've had Somali Christians for at least two centuries, a minority certainly but you cannot say they don't exist. A few individuals might exist here and there, but there is no "community" to speak off. And I actually do know the guy behind it all. I owe my cush life in the West to him () so believe me when I say it's mostly maryooleys making a quick buck.

These people don't work at all! And they wonder why their countries aren't doing well, they wonder why their countries don't manufacture anything and they're not respected. It's just terrible when you think about it. And the same goes for a lot of the Muslims in India and Bangladesh! It's our own fault why we're in the predicament we're in. The Germans work their butts off, so do the Japanese. And look how powerful and prosperous these countries are. Imagine if we were the same way. Somalis are a hardworking people if you actually think about it. How many Somalis do you see in the West working menial jobs day in day out? We just need to replicate that hardworking nature back home.

  7. DoctorKenney;987659 wrote: It's strange how the Iranians have a superior economy than the Arabs, even with these crippling economic sanctions. The Arabs really do have a lot to learn. Nowadays, they would rather smoke shisha and watch a FIFA Soccer game than actually get up and start building their countries. They don't produce anything at all. Just look at this short video. This Sheikh is blasting and criticizing the people for why the Arab countries are so weak. It's painful to watch: This video summarizes some of the reasons why the Arabs are so weak nowadays. Have you ever been to the Arab countries or spoken to someone from there? Those guys don't work at all. They bob into work around 10 then leave at lunchtime and don't return. No surprise the Iranians have a bigger economy, they at least work. I never seen a people as lazy and with a worse work ethic as the Arabs. These guys don't work at all.

Some Somalis also call the Bantu ooji, which in Italian means “today”and refers to the Somali's perception of the Bantu as lacking the ability to think beyond the moment. I never knew about this. Somalis are damn hilarious These poor people have suffered enough. It's time to right previous injustices and return them to their ancestral homeland, Tanzania and Malawi.
  10. The only saving grace Somalis have today is their religion. Take that away and you're the worst of the worst.
  11. Let me ask you guys a question, has there been a major confrontation between the West and the shiahs in history? I'm not surprised with this deal at all. The real enemies for them are the sunnis afterall.

Well of course. First order of the day: Alpha is exiled to Zimbabwe for being too close to officials from the previous regime. Cadale luckily survives an assasination attempt whilst in his house by unknown gunmen on the same night. Power struggles continue as Haatu consolidates more power. School children are now taught to refer to him as Aabo Haatu

What makes the United states the most powerful nation on the planet not their democratic values freedom, Its their arm industry which gives them allot of influence in the world economically and politically. Xaaji if it comes to the amount of arms, remember the South is awash with them. The difference between the North and the South is one is dominated by one disparate group who are united in their fear of the "other", whilst the other is so big no one group can dominate. So although they have more men and arms, their weakness is their division. As for the other, they lack numbers and weapons but their unity in vision is their strength. Don't misconstrue things for what they're not. In other words, bootada inaga qallee.
